WHAT I DO MIND is being Price gouged for some plastic sleds. I didn't complain about the price because I'll pay whatever they say the cost is. The issue is, the moment I got back up the mountain to use these $35 dollar plastic sleds BOTH BROKE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. And I mean these things incinerated within two slides down the mountain. I had Heredia Antiques do a refinish and some minor restoration work on an American of Martinsville…read moremid century display case. I am beyond satisfied with the workmanship, the turnaround time, and the friendliness of Zeferino Heredia and his staff. I requested that they try to keep the new finish as close as possible to the original finish, and they were able to reproduce it perfectly. All of the dents, dings, scuffing, and scratches are no longer visible, and the worst damage (a large crack on the inside of the one of the doors) is fixed and no longer visible. This piece is ready to go for another lifetime. It was one week from pickup to dropoff, which I found very surprising considering the quality of the work. After I spent some time to look over the piece in detail once it was dropped off, I noticed just how much care was put into the restoration. The finish is completely smooth and uniform, and even the dirty aluminum hardware was cleaned and polished. The work was so well done that it's not obvious that any restoration work was performed, which is exactly what I (and I expect most customers) want for an antique restoration. It's also worth noting that I called another furniture restoration company before Heredia who quoted about double what Heredia charged, including the delivery (pickup and dropoff) charges. I don't think it's possible that the other company could have done a better job than what was done by Heredia. In the attached photos, there are some before and after pics of some of the most significant wear/damage that was repaired. I am now actively looking for more good deals on worn/beat-up mid century pieces so that I can have more work done by Heredia Antiques. I highly recommend them and will work with them again without hesitation.

We had our entire house done with SPC flooring from Nextar Cabinets and Closets, and in just a few…read moreyears the quality has proven to be extremely poor. The flooring is peeling throughout the house, including at the edge of our stairs, which is both disappointing and concerning. When I noticed the damage, I searched online and saw that the same product, Los Angeles Collection, Hancock Park was still listed on their website. I called ahead to confirm availability, and the sales associate told me they had 100 pieces in stock. Based on that, I went into the store and purchased two pieces. After the purchase, I was told the product wasn't in that warehouse and I would need to wait 30 minutes while they checked another location. Thirty minutes later, I was then told the item was discontinued and no longer available anywhere. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since the product is still listed on their website and still shows as in stock in their system, which is how I was able to purchase it in the first place. Even the sales associate was unaware it had been discontinued. Long story short: the product quality is poor, and even more troubling is the lack of organization, communication, and accuracy in their inventory and business practices. This was a huge investment for our home, and the experience has been nothing but disappointing. I would strongly recommend staying far away. There are far better alternatives out there.
