I went to this shop in need of two sleds. Some guy working the front looked at me sideways the moment I walked in on some "your an outsider" stuff like if we were in Hawaii and I just asked to surf his Beach. With an attitude he asked me how can I help you. I asked for two sleds. He charged me $35 dollars for them. He asked me to follow him around the side where he had lots of plastic sleds in some shed. I don't mind the dirty looks or the terrible customer service or the vibe I got that this board shop worker thinks he owns weightwood lmao! WHAT I DO MIND is being Price gouged for some plastic sleds. I didn't complain about the price because I'll pay whatever they say the cost is. The issue is, the moment I got back up the mountain to use these $35 dollar plastic sleds BOTH BROKE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. And I mean these things incinerated within two slides down the mountain. PLEASE USE CAUTION BEFORE WALKING INTO THIS STORE. I was ripped off badly however I did not waste any time going back for a full refund nor did I report fraud on my card simply because I can tell this person and shop really really needed the money and I'm all about charity. But for any FAMILIES going to the snow PLEASE go PREPARED AND DO NOT SHOP HERE unless you have no other choice and want to give back to the needy. read more

Pharmacy Boardshop - $35 dollar sled that broke immediately - Accessories Near Me - Wrightwood, California

Came here to rent boots before the slopes at Mt High. They said they had all sizes and half sizes in stock so I decided to give them a shot. While filling out the necessary paperwork, they needed my 16 digit credit card number and the CCV code. I was uncomfortable with giving this out, but the Pharmacy Boardshop employee that was helping me out told me not to worry as the same piece of paper will be given back to me when I return the boots. He sold me short here. While trying on the boots, they did NOT have half sizes that I need. I came here at 9:30AM, and there were no 9.5 in stock so I was forced to take a size 10. The boot was very old, beat up and out dated. It was the traditional shoe string boots instead of the newer designed turn-dial to tighten. The shoe strings were uneven in length, but still did the job. However, what bothered me was the toe of the boot would collapse every time I tried to tighten my bindings. This made it very uncomfortable and toes hurt for the next few days. While returning to Pharmacy Boardshop, I stood in line for a good 10 minutes inside the store before I was told that the rentals return is outside around the corner. There was only 1 employee working the cashier at the time and its obvious to see that I was holding a pair of boots with some snow on them for a return. He could have stopped what he was doing to ask if I was returning the rental and directed me around the corner. 10 minutes wasted, no problem as I still love to support small mom-and-pop businesses. When I finally got to the designated return department of the place, I had to flag down an employee zoned out waxing a board in the back corner. He notified me that I was not going to be able get the paper I filled out with all my credit card information back and that it was for his record. Now this made it very sketchy. I love to support small businesses, but Pharmacy Boardshop does not stick to their words. I feel I was bait and switched here. read more

I came in to rent some equipment and employees were blatantly not wearing masks and ignoring any type of safety protocols, even when all customers in the store were wearing masks. It made my entire group uncomfortable and it was disappointing to see a company that is participating in potentially spreading COVID-19. read more

A warm welcome to a great addition to this community! This is the smallest store if the Pharmacy Boardshop facilities I have been in although certainly one of the friendliest. Ed was working the store when we arrived and was a absolute pleasure to speak with. Since this location is just getting rolling they have a good selection of items although less than other locations, I am the size plays some influence on that. They can locate items at other facilities for you and have them shipped to this location if required. The Rental side is not currently running and will be running when the season is in full effect. We were told that Pharmacy plans on having community events at this location throughout the year which is something we are looking forward to! The girls scored some gear and Ed was kind enough to throw in some stickers and a coffee mug! Over all a solid experience and we will be back soon! I have to give four stars for as it sits today and look to increase it when full operation is ongoing! read more

Disappointed in the rentals 1-All the boot in my size were wet. 2-the employee set up my board in the wrong direction. Which I then waisted an hour fixing at the bottom of the mountain. 3-the boots were worn and they would not tighten well. I decided to suck it up for the day instead of going spending time going somewhere else.... I should have gone somewhere else. At the beginning of the day my feet were freezing. At the end of the day my feet were soaked. I told the employee and apparently there is no process for drying. Avoid this rental place at all cost! Got 4 sets of boards & boots for my kids. 1st. They don't have right size boots. 2nd. Their equipments are very old with outdated technology. 3rd. They store their equipments outdoors in two containers & you basically have to wait in freezing temperature to size boots & all. But the worst part is dealing with their equipments. The locking system on their bindings simply don't release & it's a nightmare for snowboarding. We spent most of the day dealing with equipment failure. One time the board came loose & we lost the board on lift, TOTAL DISASTER!!!!! When we mentioned the issues upon returning, they tried to put the blame on us. Bought a new pair of Thirty Two board pants today for $127?? Good money. First run the buttons completely came off And the pants were actually a little loose on me and I needed a belt so they were never even stressed at the button area! Called Pharmacy Boardshop and they will not honor a return or exchange!! Want me to go thru the manufacturer website?? This is why one should buy from big box with a return policy. No where in there store did it say no returns or exchanges. Now I will have to deal with the back and forth with the manufacturer. read more

Our first experience there was great. The girl who helped us was friendly and we got our equipment pretty quickly not mention their prices are very reasonable. Our second experience could have been a disaster but Nate quickly turned that around and made it into yet another great experience. On the mountain we had so much trouble with our bindings getting stuck/wouldn't secure which took away time from our 4hr lift pass. Then on the way down the mountain we hit terrible traffic and returned our equipment about 2 hrs late. When we got to the shop we told Nate about our frustrations and he quickly was able to offer a solution that would make us happy! Needless to say we really appreciated the great customer service we received and its the reason why we will return here in the future. Rent here if you are looking for a convenient place to rent boards and equipment. It's never crowded like the place up on the mountain and trust me you will be thankful. Ed, Nate and Jermey were all very helpful in helping my girlfriend and I out with getting the proper gear to go snowboarding. Haven't been in 12 years and they set us up with rentals and were very informative about everything. Prices were the best we found and there were no long lines.
