Having a good time at mountain lakes
Isabel C.

Sophia was so wonderful at the night desk. She gave us the best attitude and wonderful attention to detail. Thank you Sophia for all your help.

I got to come here on a visitors pass while some family members were staying and honestly.. it was great. If I was in a different place in life, I would become a member with my boys. The fishing is peaceful and awesome (not much of a challenge for those who prefer natural water but for kids it was a blast), the whole area is so clean and well taken care of, and the best part? The other campers. The people that we met were so friendly and incredibly kind, it's sad how much that means in this day and age. We were with a group of young boys who have never filleted a fish in their own but they were welcome to watch the more experienced people with no judgement and when it came time to step up and try it themselves, an older gentleman got out of his car to show them the ropes. I wish I knew who this man was so I could send him a thank you card. We had a great time and would love to visit again.

Backing right up getting ready for a beautiful holiday weekend overlooking the lake

What a timeshare! From generations to generations, my family has been coming to Mountain Lakes and it's never a disappointment. Started off with my Mom owning a membership soon after my family grew. My kids had kids, and it was time to get a RV of my own for the grandkids. Over two decades of fun, laughter, and family memories. They are always adding and changing things up from wrestling, bingo for kids and adults, golf cart, parades, spectacular Halloween events, and more! Thank you, Mountain Lakes!

They took my money and said unless I paid all the 10,000. In full, I will never be a regular member.

Can you book a stay online if your a member?

Unfortunately, no. Members must call our reservation line listed on the back of their membership card.

Can cabins be rented without being a member?

We offer a complimentary 3 day/2 night stay are our resort for your first time here! Unfortunately, cabins are reserved for members only.

Is the restaurant open or Pool or any activity for the kids to do?

Meadows Family Pool and the Adult Pool is open. Our new Splash Pad is also now open, great for kids! Restaurant is open for To-Go Orders only.

Anyone looking to sell their membership?

yes i am looking to sell

I'm looking to sell my membership and was looking for more insight on this? Any info is appreciated.

How much

How much do they charge here to stay in a tent overnight?

In July of 2019 rates had gone up from $60 a night to $80 a night per site for guests at Mountain Lakes.

If I where to buy a membership, how many wks a yr can you stay.? Is it a in for a time.frame then out a couple? Is there a limit per year. And do the maintenance dues go up yrly…

You are welcome to stay for a time frame and then out for the same time frame before staying again, all year round.

Do they allow campfires or is it propane only?

Firepits are allowed but only chemical logs like Duraflame or propane may be used. Absolutely NO wood fires!

How big are the campsites?

They vary. We have been members since 1985 and started with a camper van and tent. We graduated to a 26 foot travel trailer and recently a 36 foot 5th wheel. We have always found sites to meet our needs and have never regretted our membership. If…

Look to buy a membership anybody selling one? At mountain lakes?

I may be selling. But I don't have cabin privileges since I have a trailer. Let me know if you are interested. My price is competitive since I have to sell due to health…

To those members that have a membership for 7+ years, have you ever encountered the need to reserve a campsite ( not cabin) for a major holiday 30 days in advance? Also have you ever been denied entrance after 5pm on a holiday?

I have had my membership for almost 15 years. I don't have cabin privileges. I haven't experienced any of the issues you mentioned. Even when I have arrived past midnight but…

Do they have different memberships. One with cabins and one with cabins and rvs? How much are the current annual fees?

Dont waste your time this place is ridiculous the cabins r run down and they smell like no one cleans them .dont let the free weekend fool you .its not worth the $$$.

If you are a member how long can you camp thiere?

Somewhat true, there are residents ( they will tell you there aren't but there are) . If you are thinking about buying don't.... The park has become VERY run down lately, lots of electrical and plumbing problems, I know this first hand as I have…

Once we entered the park and drove around the lake, I noticed that there was a gonglomerate amount of people and nearly everyone was fishing. There were zero open spots to fish. The vegetation has grown so high and taking up so much of the shore it's really limited the spots fisherman have to fish. I scoured the edge, the bank and did not find one open spot for me and my son to fish! I wish person at the front gate had mentioned. Hey there's a lot of people here. You may not find a spot but no nothing! upon walking to the lake on 5 different occasions the water was extremely green and very disgusting to look at. We were in the park less than 30 minutes when I went back to the front gate and requested a refund because I wasn't going to stay. Nowhere on the front gate, the front office, door the inside, glass on the inside walls: does it say that refunds are not given on site or not at all. After speaking to the clerk Alex, who was really rude, informed me that refunds are not given, but a document needs to be filled out and processed, and then MAYBE approved by two upper people only then for them to MAYBE decide if a refund can be given. Total bullshit. You've taken my entry fee, your provided zero communicate to fishing related questions, and you won't issue me a refund on the spot, why?

We had driven from Arizona for some cooler weather and had the hardest time simply finding a good spot for the kids to play and swim without needing to pay a fortune (We dont have to pay to swim in lakes in Arizona which I didn't know was a novelty??) We rented a cabin by Arrowhead lake and found out AFTER we got there that it is a private lake. We were told by locals that a great family lake was Lake Gregory which was about 20 minutes away. We drove to lake Gregory only to be told by park rangers that we cant swim in the lake unless we go to the designated family beach area and pay $10 per person (adults and children included) to use a small crowded beach area. That particular day I gave in and paid so my children could have some fun outside and in the water. I was determined to continue looking... FINALLY, I searched for rivers, streams and hiking nearby to get some peace and adventure and came across this little gem. Maybe we got lucky since it was in the middle of the week, but there were very few people on the trail, not to mention only one other family with kids at the swimming hole that my kids played with. The water was clean and cool, it was not crowded, there was ample shade and sandy beach areas...it was PERFECT. I would highly recommend this area for family use.

The schools are amazing, the teachers actually give a damn, and the classes aren't over populated- therefore more 1 on 1 is possible. The elementary school was blessed with an AMAZING new teacher (new to district) Mr. Jason Dokie. If your child is fortunate enough to have him as a teacher- you're in luck! Words cannot explain. I've worked at the local Snackbar next to the ProShop for several years, and along side the Silver Lakes Restaurant. Both are amazing, and worth the visit! Our golf course is beautiful, Mr. White has a great crew that assures that! I also worked at the Mobil station, and was fortunate to meet so many residents, many of whom I adore and miss terribly. Silver Lakes in a good community. It is small, therefore people take it more personally when you disrespect the property or residents. I also happened to catch my first big ol ugly fish off my dock! Shadow Mountain from the back side. While my dad has lived here for well over a decade now, I personally never grew up in this part of the high desert though I have many friends, former classmates and colleagues who have and/or still presently due. There are three gas stations, restaurants, bars, post office, convenience stores, beautiful views of the lakes of Silver Lakes, parks, wide streets, a pool, playgrounds, nice sidewalks, a few schools and even a Country Club. Everyone is pretty friendly or at least cordial for the most part and despite being so far off the beaten path I've grown more fond of S.L. over the years from visiting. The lakes are used for fishing or boating but you do need to be a resident or with a resident to enjoy most of the perks and amenities of this more private as well as safe community. Everyone is definitely welcomed.
