I adopted my dog from the shelter a few years ago and have some reservations about putting her into a traditional kennel. At Large Breed Lodging, Laura welcomes the dogs right into her home. They are treated as part of the family, allowed to cuddle on the couch or mingle with Laura's cats and wonderful Great Dane Audrey! Laura is extremely attentive and professional, taking note of all of your dog's personality quirks, preferences and routine. She is very flexible in her schedule, even with weekend/evening drop offs and pick ups. Being separated from a pet is stressful enough, knowing that my dog is staying with someone as responsible and caring as Laura is such a relief! I scheduled my first appointment for March 17, 2016. In the mean time I was told by my vet that my dog needed to have surgery. I called Susie, the owner of the business and told her I needed to reschedule. She gave me a new appointment for March 31, at 1:00. She said she was very busy and had to hang up because she had several dogs half shampooed and had to go. Evidently when she hung up the phone she neglected to write down my new appointment and to cross off the old one. On the day of my first scheduled appointment (the one I cancelled) she called and yelled at my husband telling him I missed my appointment and would not reschedule for someone who doesn't show up for their appointment. He told her I rescheduled that appointment for March 31st and she said that wasn't true. I called her back a few minutes later explaining that I had rescheduled my appointment. She said she remembered talking to me and that when I called it was to confirm my appointment. WHO CONFIRMS AN APPOINTMENT WEEKS IN ADVANCE!!! She refused to even think it was possible that she might be wrong but, she very begrudgingly rescheduled me for an new appointment which I will be cancelling. I would not let this nasty women anywhere near my dog!!!!

She was matted in feces and urine and her brand new leash was covered in feces (they probably left it on her in the cage ). The receptionist checked in people who came after me and the nurse said the vet will be with you in "just a minute."
