Don't use them for anything for especially repairs!!! They said they replaced a part but it's still not working and they wouldn't come out to fix it. Tried saying it's a different part. But my tub bought brand new 2023 September, As soon as they installed, the panel never work, they sent an elder here took some pictures and never followed up ! However I want you all know , this place is bad bad , the technician who told me "dealer that sold you the spa failed to pay for it so the mfg understandably won't cover the warranty." Echo the complaints listed here. Zero is more appropriate. They sent a young man to drain and clean my spa. If I could attach photos here, I would. The dirt was left in the spa. As he begin filling it, I pointed it out. There was perhaps a foot of water in it and he said, "I'd have to drain it again. The filter will take care of that." The whole job was to clean the spa that had become contaminated with dirt and sand from large wind storm. Asked him to leave. They insisted on payment, so I paid them, letting them know I'd recover it in small claims court, which I am doing. I'd gladly spend $1,000 to recover my $300, but intend to recover all of my expenses, too. read more

We bought a hot tub from the Mountain Mist Spas and the tub was delivered with the cover installed in the wrong direction and with scratches on the surface. They redid the direction of the cover but could do little about the scratches. About 9 months into ownership the center of the cover began to sag in the middle very badly. Turns out the foam insulation broke in half after less than a year of use. We had no heavy weight on top. They will not replace it and said a replacement is about $800 with no warranty. Will be dealing with this replacement in our own. No more purchases from them. read more

Our hot tub came cracked. we tried to send it back...they said we couldn't do that. They did repair it, though there still is a slow leak. The electronic controller doesn't work, and we've been trying to get it replaced for FOUR MONTHS!!!! (it's on back order, oh it's here, oh no, it's on back order etc etc...the excuses never end). If I could give a 0 star rating I would, these guys will take your money but definitely wont solve the problem. Please find someone else !!!! , I had a problem with the hot tub circulation, they come and say the issue is with the pump, they charge me over $500 to replace the pump; and thats it, from that point the hot tub wont restart, and they've decided its unfixable and should be abandoned and a new spa purchased. Bought a Vita spa back in May 2021, delivered & installed in August 2021. Defective right out of the box. Took Mountain Mist a month and a half to troubleshoot and make the repairs. While waiting, had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the owner (Tyler). In my opinion, he has no business dealing with the public. Extremely demeaning and belittling. Didn't have time to deal with customer issues because he was "too busy running a business"! The next sale is apparently all that matters to him. The failed parts could have easily been purchased locally; I found them at Lowe's. Still waiting on a repair caused by his staff during the installation (almost 3 months now). It appears Tyler prefers waiting on the manufacturer to send two replacement screws instead of spending the $4.00 at Lowe's to make a customer happy. read more

The owner has been very helpful and kind. I have been getting my pool water tested nearly every week all summer. I've bought chemicals as needed and always received exactly what I needed. I can tell the owner cares about his customers and wants them to be satisfied. Thanks Mountain Mist! read more

These guys are incompetent and have poor customer service to boot. I was told it would take one week to receive a simple part, still waiting on it 3 weeks later. Every time I call or stop in to check on the status, they have no idea what part was even ordered and they cannot give me any sort of estimated delivery time. We bought a hot tub from Tyler at Mountain Mist about five years ago and are happy with that purchase. So happy we actually sent our friends who were also looking for a hot tub in to purchase the exact same one the very next week. We have continued to purchase our supplies here over the years even though they are not friendly or helpful when you are not spending thousands of dollars - it is on our way to work so it's convenient. You would think a business would appreciate customers who make $8,000 sales for them and then continue to be customers for years - but not this place. Today we found out our business is worth nothing to them!! We always purchase supplies ahead of time so we didn't actually install a filter we bought in July until September. After about a week it was obvious the filter was not working so my husband took it in to the store and Tyler told him to soak it in vinegar and try it again. We did that - it still didn't work so I took it back again expecting to exchange it. This is when they really got rude!! The young man at the counter went into another room and I could hear him talking to Tyler - basically accusing us of trying to return a used filter, even though it was obviously not dirty or "used". He came back and told me he could not reach the owner but left him a message (if you are going to lie - make sure you the person you are lying to didn't actually HEAR your conversation!) and that they could not exchange the filter because the plastic was not on it so they could not resell it. First, of course the plastic is not on it - we tried to use it, that is how we knew it didn't work!! Second, you are going to resell a filter I just told you does not work???? I left my number and asked that the owner call me when he returned to the store. A few hours later Tyler called and was even ruder than the clerk in the store. He said there was no way we could return a filter we bought 4 months ago even though he understood that we "think" the filter isn't working, even though we did not install it right away and we had been in to return it within a week of installing it and had been trying his suggestions since then. He was extremely accusatory, saying he would not "just give us another filter - there is no way he could take that kind of financial hit because he does not make enough money on filters". We have not returned a single item in FIVE YEARS of buying supplies. And I would imagine you made a few dollars on the two $8,000 hot tubs and five years worth of supplies!! I have never been treated so poorly by a business and I am embarrassed to have recommended them to our friends! This is certainly a mistake I will not make again!! As a Longmont, CO business owner myself I try to support local businesses when I can, that is why we don't just order our spa supplies online, but I am completely appalled by the way we have been treated at Mountain Mist Pool and Spa. I am sorry this review is so long - but I hope if anyone takes the time to read it I can save you some time, money and frustration. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere where it will be appreciated - I will drive to another state before I ever spend one more dollar at this business!!! read more

Went in to try and buy some chemicals and was met with a rude sales person who thinks they know it all. When I pulled up the chemical formula for what I was looking for he called me an a-hole. Seems to me for a small business this is the wrong time to be rude to your customers. We did our talking with our wallets and will shop on line or at another store.
