Although they're booked and busy, there's time to shop while you wait, very well worth the while. Friendly faces welcome me in, making a little mountain town feel like home - after waiting, Nellie got my order turned quickly without rushing. In addition to having atmosphere in spades, this is the home of the one & only Maui power pancake (sliced banana, almonds & seeds in a thick springy dough) - 2/2 and comforting as ever!

CELIAC NIGHTMARE…read more Nellie was our server. I told her from the get go that I had celiac and she responded that the owner has celiac and eats everything on the menu. I asked more questions about shared fryer, shared toaster, etc. and she quickly started getting annoyed. I ordered a patty melt. When it came out the sandwich was on rye bread. I told her that rye is gluten and she said "it's your fault. You didn't tell me you wanted gluten free bread". I told her we just had a whole conversation about celiac. So she took the plate away. 5 min later offered more coffee and when I said no she scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I asked to cancel the order because she obviously doesn't take precautions and said that the kitchen would bring a fresh plate, which they did. She also said "I'm not gluten free. How was I supposed to know?" I took two bites and immediately realized the food was off. She took my coffee off the bill and said "good luck to you". Absolutely horrendous service and woman.

Somehow, we got the last cinnamon roll of the day, and it absolutely made my day! We also grabbed a croissant, a croissant muffin, and a loaf of sourdough to take home, and everything was delicious. But that cinnamon roll completely stole my heart. We only had about an hour in this adorable town, but we're already planning a longer trip back--and Annie's will definitely be our first stop!

The menu has a lot of options for breakfast and basic drink menu for breakfast. We got: 1. Brisket bear claw: not good, just doesnt work. The brisket wasn't good at all. It was flavorless, wet and taste like everything else but a brisket. The pastry however was flaky and tasty. I just ate around the brisket. 2. Chocolate croissant: so disappointing! The first bite was such a big let down ‍ after that damn brisket I was hoping for a redemption. How does a bakery not have good tasting chocolate croissants? The chocolate tasted artificial, the color was off, looked reddish. I couldn't finish it. 3. Veggie quiche: was flavorful with a great crust and warm! 4. Matcha latte and ginger chai: well made and delicious 5. Cinnamon roll: 5 stars! Simply delicious And service was good. The views were out of this world!
