Beautiful Pine Lodge Cabin was an awesome place to spend family vacation time! So much room, gorgeous views from the deck sipping on hot coffee in the early mornings. Pool table, jacuzzi and big tv was awesome to have use for all of us and huge eating area and full kitchen to do the cooking for the family! Bedrooms with their own bathrooms was awesome with each having their own room temperature to control. Make sure to sign up for the snowmobile and sleigh riding with the beautiful big horses, 1st sipping on hot cider & it was delicious! They only have butternut squash soup and cauliflower soup available. I ordered the creamy cauliflower soup but it was the worst soup I had. It is not creamy or has cauliflower chunks. We had a great 1st experience at ziplining at Mountain Springs Lodge! It was my birthday weekend my boyfriend planned and entire weekend full of adventures of which I knew nothing about, where we were going, what we were doing! Second stop ziplining OMG we had an incredible time! It was a private tour, 5 zip lines are climbing up in elevation. This was hands down a phenomenal experience and our guides were seriously the best! This lodge about 2 1/2 hours outside of Seattle is really special! It's close to Leavenworth, which is the Germantown and close to a lot of hiking trails! My cousin had her wedding here and rented out all of the buildings at once. It was perfect! Each lodge has its own hot tub. And they are all pretty much walking distance from each other! The people checking you in are nice. Each cabins ambience is so cool and you feel like you are in a bougie cabin in the woods. Your go-to place for snowmobiling in the Leavenworth area. I felt particularly safe. Our guide "Jimmy" was very articulate and clear regarding exactly how to use the snowmobiles and how we all would best communicate with each other during our 2 hour trail ride. Jimmy perpetually visually and verbally checked on us to ensure that all was well. In addition he took the time to explain to us the geography and he was kind enough to help take pictures of our group along the way. (we were pulled over of course) Mountain Spring Lodge provides it all: snow clothes, helmet, lesson, guide. They do a very nice job taking care of their snowmobiles as these machines were in pristine condition. If having fun, feeling safe and getting out into the great outdoors is right up your alley then call this facility and schedule your outing with this lodge and ask specifically for Jimmy. read more

Our family booked this venue and all of their lodges and suites for our daughter's wedding weekend. We can't say enough good things about our experience! They have the absolute best staff who were so attentive (and patient) with us from the time we booked through the wedding weekend. The lodge is very nice and they have lots of activities during the winter: snow shoe and cross country ski trails, snow mobile rides, sleigh rides--it's all there. Amazing! We had our small wedding here in October and it was so beautiful. I was nervous booking somewhere I had never seen and was hoping that it would all come together nicely and it was so much fun! We had family stay in the cabins on the property and they were very well taken care of. The flowers, cake, officiant and photographer were part of the package and I could not have asked for more. Everything was so beautiful and we got so many compliments on the food and cake! My husband and I got married here in Oct 2021. We did their intimate wedding package, and I would recommend it 100% if you're looking for something low-key, but still wedding-like. Our 17 guests stayed on-site at various cabins for 3 nights, and had a blast. It's about 25 mins from Leavenworth, so not ideal if you're trying to go there frequently, but still just a short drive for dinner or drinks. We mostly enjoyed the lodge's facilities - the large kitchen and living space let us all be together, but not cramped. It was perfect! The coordinated photographer, florist, and dinner on-site made the wedding day easy! The coordinator, Jaimi, was organized and flexible. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend! read more

These guys helped me plan my wedding proposal hassle free! They gladly waved a certain fee for my gf and I, and gave us a private guided tour through the area so I could propose at a beautiful outlook. My gf crashed the shit out of the snowmobile. Plowed us right into a tree at around 20MPH. Bob (our tour guide) was the man!! He took care of us, and made sure I still had an opportunity to propose following my gf's hiccup. This place is absolutely stunning! Especially in the fall when all the foliage is changing colors. (see pictures) This is great if you need a lil R&R retreat to the mountains. We actually came here for a wedding and it was incredible. All the friends of the bride and groom stayed in the Ponderosa lodge which was perfect. We had our own room that was connected to the lodge which was very nice. This would be great location for a family get together. The lodge has a great private kitchen, some bench tables to sit at and a sitting/game room with a TV and pool table. I think what I liked most about this place is that it felt like a lodge in the wilderness by the way it was decorated and what not but it had a more new age feel to it and upgrades. read more

The grounds and facility of Mountain Springs Lodge is gorgeous, they have a cute little gift shop with assorted trinkets, lotions and cards for sale to peruse if you have extra time before your snowmobiling tour. This was our first snowmobile ride and we had an AMAZING time! We booked the "grandpa's rocker" 2 hour mid-day tour. The tour guide, Travis was very informative and made our trip an amazing experience. The snowmobiles are in tip-top shape (someone mentioned that they are replaced and rotated out every 2 years for optimal performance), they are easy to use and very easy to operate. The tour had 4 people and the guide; it was small enough to feel like a personal experience and we loved that! Travis gave us a quick how-to operate talk and we were on the snowmobiles for the next two hours! We navigated up and down hills, around corners and easily rotated with the snowmobiles. There was one small mishap when a woman on our tour flipped her snowmobile but we easily got it off of her, made sure she was ok and continued the tour. Travis was very knowledgable about the area and consistently made sure that we were all still behind him and feeling comfortable on the snowmobiles. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely do it again! We are planning our trip next year. read more

My bf and I came to this lodge in search of something fun to do on our anniversary trip, and bam did we hit it on the spot! We chose the Snowmobile Adventure Package and upgraded our room to one with a hot tub AND jacuzzi for an additional $50...so it totaled to right above $600. I know..pretty ridiculous for an overnight trip right??..but! when you split it between 2, and take a breather real quick, and take in everything that you get..it won't be AS ridiculous...haha I personally found it worth it..although my pocket can't say the same... If you're coming here in the winter, be careful! the roads can be really icy. Our check in was at 3pm and everything was smooth. When we got to our room, we were blown away about how amazing it was! We got the Aspenglow room...and holy smokes...! giant room, a hot tub outside, a jacuzzi inside, a fireplace and a giant bed! The only weird thing was that there wasn't a door to the bathroom..so whoever you go with... I hope you're ok with doing the deed when they're around haha............. By 4pm, we went to check in for our snowmobile tour, led by our tour guide named June. The snowmobiles are pretty new looking and awesome rides. They're pretty easy to handle..but for those not so good at extreme sports and stuff like this....maybe you should ride in the back....seriously. Otherwise, the ride was FUN and June made it really easy for everyone to follow along. We got to do the night tour, and I'm going to place bets that the night tour is WAY better than the morning one..Everything is just so much more gorgeous at night as our headlights lit up the snow and trees..but I guess..it could potentially be more dangerous haha After the tour, we got to head back to our rooms, clean up and then headed to the dinning hall for an amazing dinner. Our waitress (who was also the person at the front desk the next day) was SOOOO nice and easy to get along with! As for dinner, although it's a pre-set one...I had no complaints...we had prime rib, salmon, a potato cake, and broccoli. We probably got halfway..and were STUFFED..so we got our desserts to go. Although the meal was GREAT, the desserts..were disappointing..way too sweet! Oh, and in the morning! a light breakfast with oatmeal, milk, fresh fruit and danishes are delivered to your door =D Overall...this place is an awesome get away! The only problem I had with it and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that we booked our trip in early-mid Dec for Jan 5th..and didn't receive any type of information about it until WE called SEVERAL times. They had told us that they sent us a package with our confirmation and info needed but it never came..So after SEVERAL calls and a few emails, we FINALLY got our confirmation info PLUS our itinerary 4 days before our trip. Don't get me wrong though...the calls and emails were all handled well! Great customer service on that part haha... But seriously..great get away! It makes me start to understand why people move away from the city (part of this was from my awesome experience at 59er Diner :D ) read more

The horses are lovely, could pretty much do the trails on their own, and will even look at the camera for a photo op. The hot cider by the fire to warm up after the ride is a very lovely perk! Ziplines are an absolute requirement...what a blast. Had the opportunity yesterday to try MSL's newly completed zip line course. WOW First of all this is not some zip line erected in a field...it zig zags across a canyon over Beaver Creek and when I say over...we are talking nearly 200' above the canyon floor. There are 8 line and run #4 is 654' long...Legit. Our guides were fun, knowledgeable and reassuring which is great cause these lines are high, fast and built to elicit a heart pounding unforgettable experience. Snowmobile tour! For starters, this was our first time on snow mobiles. We had a group of 4 adults and one child. This was such an awesome experience! It was a great way to spend my birthday & our tour guides were awesome! We had Terrell, his wife and Anthony. The staff were all very friendly and nice. We planned a last minute winter elopement and Mountain Springs lodge was our first choice. The experience couldn't have been better! Jaimi planned everything based on our desires. Booked the Aspen cabin for a short but much needed away time! The grounds were just beautiful and so were the facilities. My kids just loved the loft where they slept and had a blast in the hot tub. The husband and I enjoyed a romantic quiet dinner at the lodges restaurant, our waitress was wonderful! And to end our two day stay with a snow mobile tour was so much fun! I'm writing this review for the Easter Brunch only, as I've never eaten there any other time, maybe it's not always so awful.. but it was AWFUL yesterday!! Gross and grossly over priced. $15.00 a person would have been too much, $30.00 a person is a joke! I've had better complimentary continental breakfasts on vacation, frankly you would be way better off going to the Plain Cafe. I'm still so grossed out thinking about it. Yuk. I would list everything that was awful about it but just trust me, literally everything was awful- unless you want to pay $30 for some fruit and pastries that they bought at Safeway. It was a joke. And mimosas were not even included! Lodging is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, I highly recommend staying here- just don't ever plan on Easter Brunch here. read more

We went on a sleigh ride with dinner combo.... it was Amazing! It snowed during our adventure, which made the stop for apple cider at the haybarn pure perfection!!! Our driver was informative about the history of the ranch, and what they do on a day to day .... The horses and Sleigh were beautiful and well kept. Wonderful place to ride horses. We had tried another place in the area, closer to Leavenworth proper, that wasn't even half as good. Erin is a wonderful guide and is very knowledgeable about horses and riding. The horses here seem to be younger and in better health then in the other places we rode. But, take that with a grain of salt I guess, I am a beginner and know next to nothing about them. All I know is that the ride felt more energetic or something then our other ride at the competing lodge. Hard to explain. At the other lodge I didn't learn anything, they didn't bother to tell us anything about horses, what motivates them and how to maximize the enjoyment for yourself and the horse. That is the kind of stuff that was most important to me anyway. We had signed up for a training lesson and then a 2 mile ride. The lesson took place in the coral there and I learned a great deal about horsemanship. Well, as much as a beginner could I guess. It was probably more exciting and enjoyable then the ride itself, which was a great deal of fun as it was. After the lesson we took a wonderful 2 mile ride in a very scenic part of the area there. Again, thanks Erin for make the ride to memorable, enjoyable and educational. I highly recommend a ride at Mountain Springs Lodge to everyone. read more

We went there for a horseback ride. We didn't stay over or eat there. Well, first the good: Its in a beautiful location. The ladies on the phone are very nice, they tilt the truth but, are very nice. The buildings are very nice. The bad: We came for a horseback ride only. We arrived on time, filled out the paperwork. The gal at the counter told us to go out to the barn. We walked around, thought we found the barn but no one was there. So we went back to the main building to find out the guide was running late. We were told to go back and wait. We did. We then saw the horses returning from a ride. All the folks left. We were directed to what horse to get on. They were using the same ones that just returned. The ones we weren't using were left tied up to a post. Offered no water or anything. The horses hooves were in bad condition. Very overgrown. So, off we go. I had asked repeatedly on the phone about the trails we would be on. I was told it would be along a meadow, nice safe, even terrain. NOT. We ended up on a very narrow path, going up hill, with a huge drop off to the left and a mountain to the right. Many obstacles in our path, bushes, roots, rocks. Not the mellow ride I was told I would be on. Now, the horses were fine and no doubt can do things like this. I, however, was expecting a mellow ride. Over all I will sum it up like this. The horses are old, tired, overworked, not cared for properly. I feel things were misrepresented to me. It was an expensive, disappointing experience and I will not return. We should have tried the other one...Eagle Creek Ranch. We didn't go there but, while in Leavenworth we did hear good things about them. I was afraid to try them as the gentleman on the phone said we would be going up a mountain trail. That worried me. Mt Springs promised me a trail along a meadow. Well, I didn't get the meadow! Should have went for the mountain trail. Maybe it would have been wider, safer? ** After reading the other reviews from folks who rode the horses I have to think they just don't understand how horses should be kept. We do have horses and my husband has rode all of his life. These horses are seriously old and broke down. The condition of their hooves is unbelievable! Waaaay overgrown which is not good for the health of the horse or the safety of the rider. For them to just use the same horses over and over the same day shows lack of care for the animal. For them to just keep them tied to a post after they complete a ride is lacking basic care as well. These horses just came off a 3+ hour ride. We were put on a couple of the same returning horses. The rest were left tied. Still there when we returned 2 hours later. No water was available to them! This was a summer day. Also, children had just came off the horses we were put on. The stir-ups were obviously not in a good position for a adult. I mentioned this to the "cowboy" he said it was fine and in a good position... NOT! Again, lack of care and consideration for the comfort of the horse and the rider. Clearly this place just uses these poor horses for money only. Giving not a thought to the health and well being of the animals. Its so sad. Really. I would never return. I felt so sad for the horses. I refuse to $upport a business that abuses animals.*** **** My response to the comment **** I stand by my review. We own horses. I would suggest you at least provide water to the horses after they return from a ride. Also, take better hoof care. The hooves were over grown, chipped, missing shoes. This is not acceptable. Also, after they return from a 3 hour ride, do you really think it acceptable to not offer water? but instead take them back out for an additional 2+ hours? 5 hours on a summer day, without water is abuse. Sad to me. Most people do not know how a horse should be kept, what a hoof should look like. So, they think all is ok.... I know better. And there is NO way a ATV could have made it on some of what we were on. The horses were walking around trees, stepping over roots, on a very narrow path. And yes, there was quite a drop off to one side and a mountain on the other. Your location is beautiful. That's the good. read more

Wow, what a beautiful lodge in the middle of nowhere (well, Plains, WA). This is where you meet to start your Leavenworth Zip Lining tour. It's so quite & tucked back into the woods that you wouldn't even think that it's there. It has log cabins & lodges you can stay in. Everything looks rustic & old country western-y. I didn't get to spend much time inside of this place, but from what I did see, I was very impressed. I would totally stay here if I was making a weekend getaway to Leavenworth. It's about 25 minutes away from the shopping area, which isn't too bad of a drive. read more

We have been here twice, once for snowmobiling and once for horseback riding. Both of our experiences were great! The snowmobiling was a bit spendy, but I found the horseback riding to be reasonable. The guides here are very friendly, as are the lodge staff. I would recommend Mountain Springs Lodge for either of the activities we participated in. read more
