Mountain Valley Winery Review While in Pigeon Forge, we made a stop at Mountain Valley Winery, and it ended up being such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We decided on a tasting of five different wines, and our wine specialist made it even better by sharing helpful tasting tips along the way. Every wine we sampled was delicious, and we even got to try a couple of their wine slushies--such a fun bonus! In the end, we settled on the watermelon wine to enjoy there, and I picked up a peach wine to bring home. After our tasting, we headed to their beautiful outdoor seating area, where we could sip our wine, take in the mountain views, and snap a few photos. I absolutely loved our time at this winery and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area--it's the perfect mix of good wine, gorgeous views, and a laid-back atmosphere.

One of the stops along the wine trail passport you can go on. Our bartender wasn't very friendly but the wine tasted good. You get to pick 3 samples to try from the list and they are all fruit forward and sweeter wines. Definitely recommend the wine slushie.

Went in for a tasting and left with three nice bottles. Very large selection. Michael was extremely helpful and guided us to what we really enjoyed. Had a drink out on the new patio out back. What a view !! Hopefully be back to visit soon.

I genuinely enjoyed the wine slushes. We did a wine tasting and tried all 4 flavors. Our favorite was the white sangria, by far. Took some fun pictures and then got a wine slush with an edible lime straw to go drink on their patio. They have 2 covered patios for you to enjoy a drink on. The wine slushes come with a glass that you can take home. 2 wine slushes and an edible straw was $28

Wow! If you are a lover of sweet or semi sweet wine, you must sample and then purchase the wines at Mountain Valley Vineyards when visiting the Smoky Mountains. Outstanding wines and a staff that not only knows their wines, but are the friendliest and attentive we have experienced. The young man, Travis, was exceptionally attentive and so kind to serving five seniors at the same time. Travis, you are an asset to the winery.

Got review from TripAdvisor that this place was the #2 destination to hit . Went there expecting a tasting, your and some info about how and where the wine is made. To say it was disappointing is an understatement! Our tasting was less then 10 minutes, the server was short with us, didn't really even interact and gave no information about the wine just asking us what 4 wines did we want to taste. The wine was good, tasting portion was almost not enough to taste. The building was clean, well taken care of and we did go away with some wine. I would not recommend the server or the tasting. Very much disappointment. Rated a 2 because the wine tasted good.

While my family was vacationing we drove past this business and made sure to make a mental note to stop by before the end of our trip. Let me just say we do not regret this decision at all. Service: The employees were all very helpful and attentive to our needs throughout the tasting. It was free and included 3 tastings of our choice. We were kind of indecisive considering we wanted to ensure everyone vacationing with us of age would be pleased with our selections. They were. The mountain peach was a hit with my family and good thing it was because we purchased 2 box kits. Thankfully the staff was very patient with us as decided. Covid: Those helping us taste and checkout wore masks from what I can recall and there was signage around the location asking customers to wear them as well. Which we appreciated. Parking: There is a very nice sized parking lot with ample parking so finding a spot shouldn't be an issue and it wasn't for us. Whenever in town I will surely make an effort to stop by and bring some wine back to Atl with me.

They offered a great tasting experience of either 3 free samples or 8 samples for around $10-11 something with tax, which is well worth it if you want to explore their selection. Their new 10th Anniversary Blueberry wine was excellent, and the Bourbon Blueberry was another standout, though both were a little higher priced than what I was looking to spend. I ended up taking home some of my favs - Strawberry, Blackberry, and Salted Watermelon Cider, and I absolutely love all three! They has a deal where if you buy 5, your 6th is free so I took advantage since I was buying for a family gathering. One thing I appreciate is that their wines don't contain preservatives, which gives them a fresh, homemade feel. Just be aware they recommend enjoying them within about six months. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the tasting process without being pushy. Whether you're a sweet wine fan or just looking for a fun stop while shopping, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Yes, tastings are free at most of the wineries and distilleries in town, but you're paying to get to them all safely (and without the hassle of trying to park) and hit them all in the same day. And I witnessed firsthand that we got more options to sample than people who just came in off the street. It sounds like there used to be an issue with one winery not giving full samples, but they are no longer a stop on the tour. We hit around 9 places: -Smith distillery. We liked this place enough that we returned later in the week. Really great service. The sweet tea flavor was a favorite. -Applewood Farm (two stops with wine and cider). I preferred the cider, actually, and it was nice to try something different. The cider slushies were delicious. Time didn't allow us to return her, but if we stay in Pigeon Forge again, I'd like to explore the Farm a little bit more. -Most of the other wineries blurred together, which isn't a complaint. They served really similar wines and even had similar decor. Most specialize in sweet wines, which isn't normally my thing. Tasting them is still fun, though. We bought a couple of bottles along the way. -Old Forge Distillery. We missed the first half of the tour, but there were still a lot of samples, and we came back on our last day, did another tour, and bought some bottles. Oatmeal cookie and elderflower were two favorites. -Mill Bridge Winery. This was my favorite of the wineries. First, it was really pretty inside. The woman who led our tasting was very knowledgeable, and the range of wines was more unique. We bought a bottle of Indian Summer. -Tennessee Moonshine Company (with an attached winery for tasting). Maybe my least favorite of the distilleries, but it was still pretty good and had some unique flavors. -Junction 35. This place was way more modern than the other spots, and it was a good ending to the tour. We wound up coming back here, too. We enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour. I think there were 22 of us total, which was a decent number. The bus was pretty hot/cramped, but I think that should be a given. We weren't on it for more than 15 minutes at a time, so it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely suggest this tour to other adults looking for a fun way to spend a few hours.

Our whole tour had an absolute blast. We took snacks on the bus for during the drives between to help soak up some alcohol. It also helped cleanse the palate. I love cider and after dropping over $100 on moonshine next door the day before, I didn't want to be tempted. But sure enough, I found myself inside looking at the tasting menu. You can sample 3 ciders for free or pay $5 for 8 samples of cider and 2 cream wines. We chose to pay for the tasting to get a broader range of flavors. Our bartender was nice, efficient, and friendly. Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off and we couldn't talk anymore after that (we were discussing tattoos). When the fire alarms stopped, we went back in and made a deal with the devil. Buy 5 get 1 free. The ciders are DELICIOUS! Oh boy, I might just need to find an AA meeting with how smooth and flavorful these ciders and cream wines are. I highly recommend doing the $5 tasting because it's entirely worth it.
