Super friendly, efficient, and genuinely caring. Every time we visit, everyone is always friendly and takes the time to say hello. The facility is always clean, doesn't have that overwhelming "nursing home" feel or stinky smell, and my dad actually enjoys the food and he's super picky, which honestly surprised us. It's a huge relief knowing he's comfortable and being looked after because we're so busy with our own lives. Mike, the manager, has also been great to work with. Any time we've had a question, he's been easy to reach, always willing to help and I trust him with the decisions he makes for my dad. Sorry we bug you so much! You need to train your staff to speak in a more sensitive way. Especially after a bad news had given to the family. "I am so sorry your dad has passed, however; we do have policy the body has to be removed in x amount of the hours. Please drive safely to get here asap when you can." I see a lot of work as they're trying to make improvements. For a visitors, employees, and residence of this facility. I had a question where my friend was located at. They were very quick to look in the computer and guide you which way to walk closer to the room. Smiles on each of the workers. For they truly care of what type of care they give to each resident that lives there. They work with post acute patients that come out of the hospital. Claremont Heights provides physical therapy so the residence can be more independent so they can go home quicker. The beautiful activity room was wonderful to see as this is a heart of each residence, getting better and stronger and feeling loved. They provide the medication each residents needs. The check-in kiosks is so easy to understand and use. Once you walk in the lobby, the staff is very happy that you were there very kind and always has a smile on their face. The only downfall I noticed is the facility. Some rooms have cracked in the ceiling and in the wall. There needs to be a custodian team to keep the rooms swept and cleaned to whether you'll find trash on the ground. To all the nurses that work there the CNA's that work there the kitchen crew that works there. I am so thankful that every resident has a smile on their face, knowing they are safe and well loved. There are vending machines and some courtyards so the residence can buy their favorite snacks. The roses and the colors of the gardening are just so beautiful. It feels like you were at home. When you walk into the lobby, there is music being played. And there is a TV screen and it shows the most amazing colors of every season like a picture window.

She and my father-in-law spent six of those years together in the same assisted living apartment. The staff and management knew them well. We believed she was part of a community. We trusted that she was cared for. After my father-in-law passed in 2017, everything changed. With new ownership and management came a noticeable decline -- fewer gatherings, fewer thoughtful touches, and a clear shift away from the residents who had built that community. The warmth disappeared. The effort disappeared. The food declined significantly. We dined with her often and eventually began taking her out because meals there were so poor. Over the past year, she lost 35-40 pounds. She was not able to tell us about the food because she had a stroke many years before and could not speak. We later learned she wasn't eating -- and no one alerted us. No one noticed. Or if they did, they failed to act. That is inexcusable. After 15 years in the same apartment, her unit was never properly updated. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom cabinetry was falling apart. The space looked worn down and neglected. For two years, we were repeatedly told renovations were coming. They never happened. Then, after Christmas, she became ill and passed away 20 days later. She spent her final three days on hospice in the very place she had called home for a decade and a half. In those last days, only three staff or management members came to see her. Three. After 15 years. We did hear one staff member comment that she was sad she would no longer get clothes from my MIL (who was always very generous). After her passing, there was no card from the Regency management. No condolences. No acknowledgment to my husband, who had just lost his mother. They once posted notices honoring residents who passed. This time -- nothing. We did everything we could to give her a life filled with dignity and love. We trusted Regency to do the same within their walls. They did not. This is more than disappointment. It is heartbreak -- and a profound sense of betrayal.

My family had a very difficult experience with Pomona Vista Rehabilitation Center. My mother was…read moreplaced there following hospitalization and required very specific medical care, including strict dietary restrictions related to a feeding tube and recent surgery. Unfortunately, there were serious communication and care concerns during her stay. Despite repeated efforts to inform staff about her medical restrictions, she was given food that she was not supposed to have. This led to complications, including her feeding tube becoming dislodged and requiring an emergency hospital visit. Even after the hospital provided updated instructions, it felt like important information was still not being clearly documented or followed. In addition to the medical concerns, it was very difficult to get timely responses from staff, and we often felt that our concerns were not taken seriously. This created a great deal of stress and worry for our family during an already challenging time. We ultimately requested a transfer to another facility closer to home so we could better advocate for her care. I strongly encourage families to stay very involved, ask detailed questions, and closely monitor care plans if their loved one is placed here. I am sharing this experience so that other families can be informed and prepared.

First thing that stood out was how immaculate everything was and it smelled so fresh and clean. This was very important for me if my mom going to live here. They gave me a tour of facility and the living quarters where my mom would stay. She has her own bedroom whom she shares with a wonderful roommate. They were very careful about matching mom's roommate, so they carefully introduced my mom to a few ladies and we found the perfect one. My mom has been her for 3 years and she loves it. They even have a program where a bus picks up the residents that are able, to have fun filled days dancing, singing, doing crafts, then the bus brings them back. They are very involved with many onsite activities. They have lots of parties, holiday parties too, they bring in musicians/bands so they can dance and enjoy, bbqs, dress up..etc. I just had to share my experience with anyone looking for a place for mom or dad. Dementia again has impacted our family, my dear Auntie is suffering with this horrible disease now. They truly try to give the best care to them but when the owner and management does NOT provide the appropriate tools and necessities needed to provide the care expected even the best intentions fall short. 4) the building is old, dirty and unkempt. Mold, feces, bed bugs and trash riddles the floors of this facility. 5) the management and owner keep the truth from both authorities and families here. They give the run around for any question you might have of your loved ones and of any reports of negligence, abuse or violence in the facility. Do NOT send your loved ones here…read more My family member spent 6 weeks in this facility. She came in with an infection that was not treated through its course; she finished her course of antibiotics, but her symptoms returned shortly afterward. She got weaker and weaker, and complained of abdominal pain. The staff did nothing; one nurse even had the gall to tell me there was nothing to do for stomach pain. I had to ask them to take blood and stool samples, and when the results finally came back positive for C Diff, I learned they had not even started her on a course of antibiotics despite having the results in hand! In that moment, I insisted that they transfer her to an ER immediately that night; she was so weak she could no longer stand or use her arms and hands. I regret so much not taking this action sooner; it's unbelievable to think you can't trust medical professionals to take basic care of your loved one. Prior to that, my family member reported that the folks leading her physical therapy appointments were often on their phones, and disengaged with her care. The food is also the worst of the 5-6 hospitals and facilities my family member stayed at in the area. The staff is largely unresponsive. The social worker at the time (Joy, winter 2025) set up a good informational meeting with the care team when my family member was first admitted; then she promptly disappeared. She would not return phone calls; she was always "in meetings". When I finally would connect with her, she would promise to stop by to visit my family member to communicate with her. Days and days would go by, no visit, no returned phone call. Absolutely unprofessional and shameful. Search previous low-star reviews, and you will see a pattern. Re the care my family member received: she was in such bad shape when she left Glendora Canyon and went to the ER (colitis, sepsis, then she had a stroke) that she spent 2 weeks in the ICU, and then another month recovering in a hospital. Glendora Canyon, her health was in your hands and you deeply failed her. SHE ALMOST DIED in your facility. And finally, adding insult to injury, when my family member was taken by ambulance to an ER, they lost her personal items that were in her room. I tried in vain to find them; they first gave me two bags of someone else's clothing and items, and then tried to push someone's else items on me. At the hospital my family member went to, I met family members of a different Glendora Canyon TCU patient who had his phone and iPad go missing when he was also transferred to a hospital, also for not being cared for adequately at Glendora Canyon. So this is a theme. Beware. Terrible establishment; do not send your loved ones here!!
