I brought my Hayward pool vac in to have tech Rick look at it, vac was twisting hose again. I've had to bring this vac in for one reason or another 9 times since I bought it in 2023. Today, I set it on the counter, let Rick know I was back with this vac again, and he got angry, told me if I wanted to argue then take my vac and don't come back. I've had Rick help bunch of times, I liked the guy, and he sure surprised me by ranting and telling me to get out of his store. I defused the situation, told him I like the store, I liked him, no issues with me. It helped a little but he was visibly still angry for whatever his reason was. I told him I was willing to look at a new vac, purchase from them, he told me to go buy it online. Is that how you treat long time customers? Ones who would still spend money even when you chew them out for no apparent reason? I left the vac there for him to fix, came home and decided to review Mountain View while I remembered details. Seriously, dude got angry, pointing in my face, where did the anger come from??? Bottom line, I will take my business elsewhere. I won't accept that kind of treatment, too many other shops close by who could be more customer friendly. I would advise anyone else to do same. read more

Mountain View is very knowledgeable upfront and will help you with anything. My husband and I have lived in Alta Loma / Rancho Cucamonga area since 1979 and have used them as long as they have been there. Also our neighbors all use them. Always a great price, you can trust them as most of the same staff have been there for years and they know what they're talking about. Mountain View Inland Pools resurfaced my pool recently. They were easy to work with during the scheduling phase. They contacted my several days before the start of the job. Marco who is the foreman introduced himself and gave us a timeline for the resurfacing. He was friendly, informative and professional. The crew was amazing and did a fantastic pebble tech job. Jennifer was nice to work with regarding the payment schedule. I highly recommend this company if you consider having any work done for your pool. read more

We have been going to MV for years. Today I took in my Hayward for service and was requesting a filter cleaning. I didn't appreciate the hostile and rude attitude. I understand things can get hectic but it is not necessary to take it out on the customer. When I am supporting a local business I expect some common courtesy. There are too many other businesses to support. After thinking about the way I was treated, I decide to pick up my Hayward and cancel my filter cleaning. Team does not have good communication with customers or to each other. My dad went in to drop off his pool pump that hasn't been working. Brought my pool pump in early on a Tuesday. The technician told me he had one ahead of me and he would call me by end of day about my pump. Didn't get a call, then didn't get a call on Wednesday either. Went in on Thursday around 9:30 to find that they had not even looked at it yet. When I asked why, after they had promised me to have an answer on tuesday. The tech accused me of yelling at him and told me if I didn't like it to take it somwhere else. I did. They lost a loyal customer who spends $1000 plus per year with them. I was probable going to buy a replacement pump from them too. Customer gone. After calling several pool service establishments in order to have my koi pond pump serviced, one of my calls was successful where the gentleman was kind enough to direct me to "Mountain View Inland Pool". As it turns out most pool services will not bother to service your pump if you are not one of their customers. Since I do not have a pool it was not feasible for me to have a pool service relationship. Anyhow, Rick from MVIP was very friendly, honest and fair with his quote to have my pond motor rebuilt. His quote was about 1/4 of what I paid for my high efficiency pump for my pond. Since koi pond pumps run 24/7 it is wise to pay for the energy efficiency pumps...etc. I dropped off my pump motor on Sunday and picked it up Wednesday. Three-day turn around is awesome! When I picked up my motor, I did not recognize it... it was like new! read more

I've been a long-time customer of Mtn View pools and even trusted them with our pool remodel two years ago. They are always helpful, nice and professional and NOT trying to up sell me on things I don't need. For the pool remodel, it was the same crew that worked onsite from start to finish, which seems to be rare these days. It was a full remodel from replacing the decking to bringing the pool and design into this century. My expectation isn't for them to be the cheapest, but their prices are competitive. I have been a customer for over 20 yrs. Most of the service has been filter cleaning, picking up chemicals and small repairs. I recently had them fix a crack in the side of my pool, and install a drain in my pool deck. John and his crew were excellent! John worked with me and came out to see how the job was going on a couple occasions. He also took the time to let me know what my options were regarding the jobs. The rest of the office staff are very friendly, and make you feel like something more than a number. They are also very good at following up with any questions you might have when leaving a message. My review is based on 20 years of service and not a one time incident. I am a fairly reasonable person, but can be picky when it comes to certain things. Most of the time things can be handled through communicating, and not assuming. Highly recommend them for general pool service, or remodeling jobs! I have been shopping here for years but when I went there today for a tricky problem with a leaking valve all I had was a picture on my phone and the man knew exactly what parts I needed and not only did he get me the parts but he pulled out the complete assembly and showed me how to take it apart and how to install the pieces I purchased and how to put it back together. I had spent an afternoon shopping around for a replacement for my pool heater and came to Mountain View as my last stop for the day. I walked in and received no help or greeting. There were 2 female employees behind the counter that didn't acknowledge that I was in the store and obviously looking at their inventory, mind you there were no customers in the store at this time. As I was taking a look at the heaters one of the aforementioned employees rudely power walked over and squeezed between myself and the heaters with barely an "excuse me". The 2 employees continued chatting as though I wasn't even a customer in the store. I immediately left and decided to do business with Leslie's pool supply across the street. This was my second time visiting Mountain View and I had hoped that this experience would be better than the last given the amount of time that has passed, but I was wrong. So many people on the Rancho page recommended this company for pool leak detection, so I thought I would give them a shot. I called and spoke to Lindsey who scheduled me with a technician between 9-1. The day came and no one showed up. I called the company and the woman on the phone told me that they don't do leak detection, despite it being on their website and their employee telling me they do. I wasted a whole week and a half waiting for this appointment, when I could have went with a more reliable company. Very disappointed. read more

Sadly I just fired Mt. View from doing my weekly pool service after using them for almost 3 years as they came highly recommended. We had a repair on a valve that became a "he said - she said" issue about the amount charged and after 1 phone call and 2 visits never heard back from Jennifer. Today I saw that I was charged for the repair, even though the invoice is not due until next week, so I went in to find out what was going on. They did credit back the charge as I will pay the bill when it is due but them not calling back in regards to my call and visits and then being charged for the repair early meant to me they have too much business to worry about taking care of their existing customers. Their pool service was good, not great, but the experience with their customer service is not worth keeping the monthly service. Lesson learned and helpful advice - get a written estimate on all work with a do not exceed amount. read more

As much as I can't stand to complain I feel I must warn others. Used Mt. View for a couple years and they were great until this year they let my pool go for weeks with algae. Had to cancel three pool gatherings as they told me it would be clean by the weekend. After several attempts to contact the supervisor I was advised I was dropped from their client list. Went to get pool tested and they told me I had zero salt and chlorine. Now I know for a fact that I put five or six bags of salt in my pool and My chlorine was fine. The people at Mountain View don't seem to know hardly much of anything except for poor Rick in the back. Lily is always angry/depressed and the dopey kids don't know anything.Everything went downhill after Tim left. The employees just don't seem to even want to be there. I went across the street to Leslie's pool service they tested my water and everything was fine and my salt was over 3000 and my chlorine was actually a little high. I just don't see that business surviving much longer without Tim or At least with a crew with a good work ethic and customer service. read more

Service guy showed up for 4 minutes ( looked at the time when he came and left). All he did was make sure there were Chlorine pills in the floater and left. Didn't even add liquid chlorine. I come here to buy my chlorine and acid because it is close and the gentleman ( who i think is the owner ) is very nice and helpful. But I am not going to give them my business anymore because of the old lady. Not the first time she offended me but today she just pushed my button for the last time. I took my empty box in for the chlorine and acid and she kicked it across the floor. That ticked me off but I let it slide and asked her a question about a product and she told me to read the back. She treated me like i am dumb. And she does not treat other customers that way. I feel that she is discriminating. A really awesome place to go for anything you need for your pool. It's a family run business that's been there for decades (can't remember how long). Everyone is always nice and helpful. Their prices are just slightly higher (not much) but the customer service you get as well as knowing that you're supporting local small business is well worth it. We just moved here & needed a part for the pool pump. We saw Zachary's pool truck outside & asked about pool service. He told us he works here & was very helpful getting us set up & accommodated for the day we wanted. He was genuinely happy to gain us a a client & really takes pride in his work. Next was parts. I took in my broken parts & got a call shortly after that the new parts were ready to pick up. When I got there, all the parts were in a bag & when they started explaining how to get them together, I knew it was out of my league. They offered to assemble it all for me & then sent it with Zachary to install at no extra charge. Since it was taking longer than I had anticipated, my dog had been in the truck for a while. They asked me to bring her in where they got her water and refilled it about 8 times, poor hot dog. Very sweet of them. Overall they're just really helpful, down to earth & make you feel right at home. Prices are great, they don't try to gouge or upsell. First of all they are friendly and welcoming, they don't get annoyed with the fact that I never know the proper name for what I'm searching for. Their store is beautiful and prices are very reasonable. Their service department is beyond amazing. Most recently my pool lost suction (again). They send out the most respectful young man who cleans the filter and wrestles with my Mickey Mouse inherited pool motor. After 40 minutes I have a clean filter, washed down pool area and best of all suction!!!
