We stopped by on a Saturday around 11am walked in, told to seat ourselves. The restaurant was empty, only four of us dining and noticed the food did take awhile to come out. I looked over at the kitchen and I saw only one lady cooking all the food, meanwhile the servers were seen standing around yapping. Our server was really nice and patient but we did have to fetch someone to refill coffees and bring water cups to the table. Our server was familiar with keto and the low carb way of eating, so she went above and beyond to answer questions and find something for us within those parameters. I had the shrimp cake Benedict on sourdough toast, with fruit on the side. My husband had an omelette with fruit on the side. Our meals came out in a timely manner and were delicious. When we got the bill, we were somewhat surprised that we were charged for tiny ramekins of salsa and pico, as well as upcharged for the fruit. Great Tiny diner with a huge selection no matter what you are in mood for. The loaded biscuit and gravy half portion was plenty for me. It came with an egg and hatch, bacon and cheese. We have eaten here several times for breakfast. It's pretty good. Service is friendly. But, we have noticed it's a bit before you get your food even when it's not that busy. And, sometimes things are not very warm. We went recently and I really enjoyed my salmon toast but my husband's breakfast wasn't hardly warm and the biscuit was not edible- they had forgotten some ingredient and it was so hard!! This is a nice little spot in Fountain Hills. Located within a strip mall, the "mountain view" is not much and the patio sits next to a dirt lot. However, it is nice to have a patio available and they've dressed it up with potted plants and colorful furniture. Most of the food was good, although the potatoes were so overcooked that they appeared freeze-dried. I ordered the "Build Your Omelette" with egg whites and veggies only and it was quite tasty. The biscuit was very dense and didn't come with anything (butter, jam, honey) so a bit dull in flavor. The server was pleasant, although the service a bit slow (maybe because we were sitting outside). After our food came our server never came back to check on us so I had to go inside to ask for service. With lots of breakfast options around, I wouldn't choose this one a second time. read more

Stopped here for lunch today and it's a cute little restaurant. Was quite slow at noon which made me nervous, but no events were happening in the Hills today so *shrug*. Young waitress was nice, made sure to get our order correct. We both ordered lunch sandwiches (The Hero and Chicken Club). It felt like it took a long time for the food to come out which was weird as the two other tables had already eaten. When we received the food is where everything went downhill. The food had NO flavor, it was really strange, just the blandest thing both of us had ever eaten! It literally felt like we were just eating bread. We were both SO confused! Even the fries which looked so promising were just, BLAH. After we left we both stated we were so disappointed to have wasted calories on just tasteless food. Not to mention the $35 with tip for lunch. A disappointing waste all around. We brought the food home for our dog. At least he was happy. Worst experience ever. I felt unwelcome. The Staff was rude and initiative. I had to ask for the most basic utensils, cream and sugar for the coffee, syrup for pancakes. My breakfast was cold. The two female waitresses and the male who brought food to the table were standing around the entire time behind the counter chatting with each other and looking at their cell phones. Our waitress never stopped back to see how we were doing. I finally walked up to the counter to ask for more coffee. We got that coffee 10 minutes later! There were very few people in the restaurant for breakfast, but one table was not bussed for 25 minutes. Better than Five guys, almost as good as Roaring Fork restaurant, but Mountain View kitchen has the better fries to match up with the burger. Tiny spot unpretentious but clean. The pancakes were small and tasteless. The maple syrup was brown sugar water. It had no body. My wife ordered an omelet which was missing one of the ingredients, was small and wasn't good.
