I was very disappointed with the Blossom Kitchen. We ate lunch during the summer and the restaurant was about 80 degrees. Air conditioning was on, but not cool enough. The tables were sticky, and drinks were served in plastic disposable glasses. This is very poor quality for a rather expensive sit-down retaurant. Offering up fried wonton noodles and candy as part of the meal before it was serviced, didn't make up for the poor food quality. I ordered the chicken chow mein. It was a fresh large portion, the noodles were very good and the dish had lots of ingredients. The spring rolls were average. They were mushy and a vented packaging choice might make them better for takeout or delivery. The best was the egg flower soup! It was a generous serving, FULL of fresh ingredients, including egg. We stopped in before shopping for groceries at Fry's. We had picked up from there and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is pleasant and clean. Service is pleasant and helpful. My hubby enjoyed his chicken, but my beef entree was very good. It was just beef and onions (green and white), but nothing else for veggies. The meat tasted different and after a few bites it seemed like liver & onions to me. I obviously ordered the wrong thing. Let's talk about the odd, the good and the bad here. I came here on a Saturday evening. I ordered orange chicken and sweet and sour soup. The Odd things - the demographic in the area is no secret, largely retirees. With that said, the place is as bright as a hospital on a Saturday night. Definitely not a great date environment if you're looking for one with evening ambiance. You will, for sure, have a spot light shining down on you. A odd feeling with the soothing almost lullaby music playing. - the menu isn't consistent. There are only TWO beef options. I'm sure you can substitute beef on any other protein option but why not just list some of those same chicken dishes with beef also? - the appetizers are slightly higher than most. For example, the potstickers are 10.99. Still within an okay range but higher than you'll find many other places - a little off with equipping place settings properly. For example, I had no serving spoon to scoop up sauce and chicken for example. - Two out of the three soups say they contain seafood. However, my sweet and sour soup didn't contain one shrimp The Good - as everyone has said, the staff and customer service is great. - plate presentation is very thoughtful and pretty - food was hot and appeared fresh. Usually with breaded chicken often you can tell it came to them premade and frozen to which they simply wok heat and add which ever sauce needed. I believe mine was all freshly made in house - sweet and sour soup is above average and cup is a more generous cup size than I typically find Cons. - I ordered my chicken spicy. It really didn't have a kick but it did add what I think was pretty needed flavor. And again, lighting mixed with music mixed with news on all tv. Just all a bit odd. Is probably recommend this more as a lunch spot for that reason. Update: tried a second time. I tried calling repeatedly for take out. I ended up having to drive down there. This was a terrific addition to the town. The food is yummy and fresh. And yummy! My 'regular' is Orange Chicken, but I can't help but also get a bunch of appetizers to hold me over for a few meals too. My fave appetizers are Crispy Shrimp, Potstickers, and Cream Cheese Rangoon. Not spicy enough? Let them know and they'll bump it up a notch or two. I love that. I'm not a fan of the hot-spicy and the hubs is, so we're both happy. They do have online ordering capability, it's not the best but once you figure it out it does the trick. I've never done delivery (I do believe that they have it). We pick our order up, even during COVID. My former paramedic husband has me being VERY particular about where we go to pick up our meal, we don't want to pass any diners to do so. Blossom has the perfect set up for people like us. They've got a table right inside the door and there's always someone there to greet you. You can pick three starters three entrées and three sides for that price and the sizes are plentiful I did all chicken with the orange chicken and the mushroom chicken and another chicken as well as fried rice and a side salad and edamame a chicken eggrolls and crab Rangoon. Absolutely delicious if I had any advice it would be to have a paper take-out menu of the other items on their main menu.The only way to order your food if you want to pick it up is through either GrubHub or Uber eats.
