Our group comes here yearly for a retreat. We love it at MVL. They are very accommodating. It is a pleasant place to stay and well maintained. I've only had minor things arise and everything was promptly handled with a positive attitude. This great property had an awesome Living Social deal that I happened upon and so we booked our very first trip to Lake Chelan. Luckily, MVL is pet friendly and we could bring our pup. As it turns out, we didn't find the town/area around Lake Chelan to be dog friendly at all, so maybe next time he'll stay with friends. Back to the review, the staff was great and very accommodating and the hotel provides its guests with everything they could possibly need. There is a fire pit, a pool, hot tub, volleyball set up, grills that guests can use. All the amenities that you could think of, they already thought of it! The room as very clean and had a great TV. We had a great weekend away and when we return to Lake Chelan, we'll definitely stay at Mountain View Lodge. read more

I can only say good things about the Mountain View Lodge and their staff. We stayed there several times while we were building our home in Manson. We were always treated very well. What stands out for me and puts them head and shoulders above everyone else is I was in the Seattle area working and my wife was staying in our trailer on our property, over-seeing the build. Her back went out on her to the point she could barely move. She call the motel and told them her problem and within a few minutes they were at our property to pick her up along with our pet dog, Corky. She remained there for three days and the staff would check in on her several times a day. More like family than a motel. read more

I booked this trip through a living social deal for a quick get away with the hubby. The staff was so sweet and accommodating. Even when I called to make reservation which I kept changing, I felt like I was talking to a friend. The room is pretty standard, but we didn't come over to be holed up in the room for the weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub and outside fireplace. There were tons of other couples that we talked to and it was a like a little retreat There are tons of fun little places to walk to, or a quick drive away. Such a cute little place! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have everything you need to enjoy your stay here. There are 4 built-in outdoor barbecues under their large covered areas with refrigerators and sinks! They have all the tools you need to have a full BBQ. Also plenty of seating and tables. Decent size pool and great hot tub open until 10:30pm which was great after a long drive and some wine tasting. They're also very dog friendly and charge reasonably to bring our pup along. They also gave us a cute little bag with doggy treats, small towel and doggy bags upon our arrival. I would definitely love to stay here again upon retraining to Manson. read more

Pet friendly and nice place. But they need to manage for fleas better and clean their carpets more often. This is one of only two pet friendly places in the Chelan/Manson area. We stayed there in mid September. They have great amenities with pool, hot tub and BBQ pit and covered gathering area. It is well maintained and relatively clean, for the most part. It's also in a great area of Manson. The front desk folks were friendly and pleasant. So much so that our wait to check in was rather lengthy while they visited with the guests in front us for 15 minutes. Our room was on the first floor, because we had our dog. The downside: walls and ceiling very thin and not well reinforced. So you get a lot of noise. We were there for 5 nights. The first 2 nights we had a work crew above who stomped around in heavy boots. The following nights were families with children, which was not nearly as bad the work crew. The carpet in our room was filthy. I made the mistake of walking across it barefoot a few times and the bottom of my feet were black. Keep your shoes on. The rest of the room seemed quite clean and was just fine. By the time we checked out to return home, we discovered our dog and her bed were covered in fleas. We live in E. Washington so fleas aren't as prevalent here. Our dog has never had them in the 5 years we've owned her. We notified them and the person I talked with assured me they've never had fleas and housekeeping has never reported finding them. I would recommend this place, just be aware of these issues if you stay there. Also, ask about the free continental breakfast at the coffee shop when you check in. They forgot to tell us about it. We found out from the coffee shop after being there 3-days. read more

It was way too expensive for what you got. No continental breakfast. They also charged me an extra $100 for a pet urine stain which our pet left with us everytime we left & she doesn't have accidents! I already paid a pet fee! Won't stay here again!!! read more

What a great place. Not the newest but one of the cleanest and inviting places we have stayed. Has a great view from all rooms and a great pool and covered BBQ area with a super firepit. Also a good rec area and pet area. We went in the off season (April 20th-23rd) and had 4 days of SUN. We have already made reservations for next year on the same week and are staying longer. The staff is great and the area is just perfect for it's great wineries, sights and food. Manson is cool. Also a great casino just down the road. read more

We've stayed here every summer for years and years. It's always an excellent experience! Very friendly staff that cares about the quality of your stay. Great pool area and covered cabana with a fire pit and scalable bbq's. Rooms are neat and clean. We love staying in Manson compared to "downtown" Lake Chelan. read more

On June 2, 2012, my partner and I arrived to check into our room about 3 pm. We were informed that there were no rooms that pets were allowed in. Our room was prepaid for two nights for the two of us and our dog. Our room had been "given away". We were instead offered a room that would require us to pay an additional $100 non-refundable charge. Given we had driven from Lynnwood, WA, a 171 mile one-way trip, this was extremely inconvenient. As this issue was not of our making, we asked for them to either put us in another room at no additional charge, or find us another room in town for the same price or less, or make up the difference. We asked to speak directly with the manager, who was not on-site. After waiting about an hour and one-half, we were informed she would not be coming and instead had instructed the desk clerk, her daughter, to refund our money. In other words, they were simply dumping us and leaving us to fend for ourselves. At this point I informed the clerk that we would be taking any necessary legal action to obtain equitable satisfaction. She called her mother. Her mother, Kim Ustanik, the owner/manager came to the motel within 20 minutes. In tow was her husband, Gerald Ustanik. The first words out of Kim's mouth were, "So you must be the guy who's going to sue us!" My response was, "Now why don't we talk about this situation." There was no reasoning with her. She was absolutely obnoxious. As far as she and her husband were concerned, it was all our fault and there was no compromise. We left and were forced to find another room on our own. I must report, though, there was a happy ending. We stayed at Kelley's Resort and had a wonderful stay. Home away from home. The owners Jerry and Kim are the best, very accommodating. The rooms, the pool area, and the grounds are kept up very well. The BBQ area with a propane fireplace is beautiful and relaxing. We go here every year and could not imagine going anywhere else. read more

What a great find! We were there for our daughter's wedding and everyone at the resort was very welcoming and friendly. I reserved 4 rooms and a townhouse and the owner told me they will take care of everything at the resort and to not worry about a thing, and I didn't. All went smoothly and one of our friends loved it there so much, they booked a room for next summer. Would highly recommend this place. Truly a home away from home. read more

I recently got married at Atam Winery (the owners recommended the lodge to us!) in Manson and my new hubby and I had the most wonderful first night as a married couple at Mountain View Lodge! They were amazing! The rooms were newly renovated and very nice! We first walked up to a welcome on a cute little chalkboard outside our room:) I had asked them if they did anything special for a "first night" type of deal and we walked in to a wonderful card and bottle of champagne and glasses! We were up at Mill Bay casino and decided that we didnt want to drive home so late at night. I called Mountain View and spoke with Kim. She booked us a room and actually drove to the casino to give us the room keys. WOW. She went above and beyond. So so thoughtful and very much appreciated. The room was very nice as well. Clean room, ultra fluffy robes, and really nice and quick customer service! When we got to our room we noticed the smoke detector was beeping indicating the batteries needed to be changed. We let them know, left for the winterfest and it was fixed when we got back. Easy peasy. They had a small breakfast (waffle, cereal, coffee and fruit) started at 8, (if you want to start early you're out of luck in the winter at least, summer hrs may be different) they may have more to offer but I didn't hear about it or see it, coffee was good, service was awesome. They try really hard to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Room service ends at 10 pm (totally expected in a place like that, if you want the Hilton, stay at a Hilton) and parking was a little tight for a big truck (snow piles take up a lot of room I think). We stayed here in January. We got into Manson, visited my parents, then checked in. When we got to the room is was ice cold and smelly. In the morning, when going to shower, we discovered our room had no hot water. We went to the office to see what they could do and were told the owner/manager was out of town. I went back to my room, unsure if what to do. After a bit I go back to the office and get owners number and call her in regards to the water situation. She says they will be right down to remedy this. It is now 11am and I have been trying to shower for 2 hours. The owners husband Gerald arrives, asks if we are sure we haven't showered, then proceeds to feel if tub is wet or dry. He finds tub wet and accuses us if already showering! Then he looks at my belongings, sees a candle I received as a gift and then tells me since there was no hot water he won't charge me for breaking the no smoking rule with my unlit candle. Then, without fixing the water, he hands me a 15% off my next stay coupon! We returned to my parents to shower. We will never stay there again. read more

Stayed here from 8/22-8/27/14. The pros- first nice & clean hotel with good amenities & conveniently located. The cons- during our stay we had the misfortune of being here when some sort of film crew for probably a never to be seen B movie was roaming the grounds. The crew was constantly blocking access to our room, running from one location to another around the complex, & generally a nuisance. We had our door slightly open & were enjoying watching a show with our kids, when one of the film crew swung open our door & came into our room! The last straw was when my husband went to the office for complimentary coffee in the morning & could not get in because the stupid film crew was shooting a sceen! It seemed like the hotel let these idiots have full range of the grounds without consideration of their other guests. Also on Sundays during the summer there is concerts in the field next to the hotel & you have to have a wristband on by 4pm to walk around the grounds or you could be booted. Concert not that great, noise goes from 7pm-10pm, & inconvient for guest to have to show their wristband everytime they walk outside. There's more, the day of our check out we went to breakfast & came back, & there was absolutely no where to park to pack up our bags because a construction crew was doing some remolding & blocked off about 5 stalls to set up saws etc. Thats understandable, what is not understandable is allow the contractors to park their rigs(there was about 5 of them) in the parking lot as well, especially when people need access to their vehicles for checkout, & maybe dont want to carry all their luggage to the street! These contractors could have easily parked their rigs in the lot behind to make room for the guest during checkout. Again seemed like the regular everyday guest was overlooked & inconvienced. Prices were also high compared to other hotels in the area. We could not wait to get out of this place & will not be coming back. read more
