It was an honor to be part of this historic landmark hotel which was established circa 1912. There are 9 rooms in which 5 rooms have their own private bathroom. The other 4 shared two bathroom. Each rooms are named after favorite local hiking trail. Each room are also decorated with combinations of William Morris wallpapers with dark and light hues. If you see it in person, it seems like you're time traveled from the first time it was established. They were also able to preserved some of the original wood and decorations inside this historic hotel. Alyssa one of the staffs is the most kindest and warmest person who always greeted us. Her and other staffs worked so hard together to keep the place going and cozy as much as possible. There's also a fire place that's available to use during winter. Also a complimentary coffee, tea and cider to help warm you after a chilly hike somewhere. Every where yo set your eyes in this place has a very special touch from people whose involved in this place. Glad we stayed here throughout our Juander Mt. Rainier. Best decision to book here! The creaky floor was one of the original thing here so t'was a fun bonus. Walk slowly fellow Juanderers.... Cons: Price is too steep and for the 10 days that we booked here we only got 10% discount and at the time they don't serve breakfast nor dinner. We have arrived very, very late on some occasions, and the owners are there, friendly and ready to get us checked in. Last time I stayed they had a small fridge in the room, which was new from the previous stay. One time my TV was missing the remote (I noticed right when I walked in) and they moved me to the next room over. I am an extremely light sleeper, but the motels on the highway location has never bothered me. The highway isn't very busy, especially at night. I have come here alone (I'm female) and with my husband. I have always felt very safe. I have recommended this motel to my family, who now stays there each time they make the trip to our side of the mountains. They have had nothing but positive experiences as well. I believe they also have little cabins behind the motel with kitchens. We might book one this summer for a family gathering.

The land itself is breathtaking--towering trees, soft mossy trails, and peaceful stillness that invites you to breathe deeper and slow down. I spent hours wandering the hiking paths and felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the Tahoma cabin, and wow--it was cozy, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. (They must have updated them based on what I have read from previous posts!) Every detail in the space felt intentional and grounding. After a day of exploring, soaking in the outdoor hot tub with that stunning view of the trees was exactly what my body and mind needed. And the lofted sauna? Absolutely the coolest (and warmest!) little gem--such a unique and relaxing experience. What really made this place special, though, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about creating a healing experience for guests. Also: there's a sweet dog who wanders the grounds and melts your heart--truly the cherry on top. Wellspring isn't just a place to stay--it's a place to remember. I already can't wait to come back.

Having said that - sharing everything there is to know before you book. 1. Expensive? Yes but the experience was worth it. This is the best location within the park in our opinion when planning to visit for an extended stay. Situated right at the foot hill of the majestic Mt. Rainier, the location cannot get any better. The night we stayed was also the night the blue moon was supposed to happen - a very special occurrence where 2 full moons happen in the same month and happens rarely across years and we were able to see the moon rise rise all the way to its peak right from our room. It was very beautiful. 2. Yes, the rooms are small and there is no TV (which I loved and have no complaints whatsoever) but parents with kids who absolutely need their TVs - get your own gadgets! Also, the room heaters work so very well - no need to carry extra blankets or layers. The rooms are stocked with additional blankets apart from the comforters on the bed but we didn't need to use them. Rooms are full up to date and personally, we found it very charming. 3. Amazing staff at the front desk. We couldn't get a room facing Mt. Rainier but the front desk was kind enough to switch our room to have a view of the Mt. Totoosh and it was great! We never asked - they upgraded us voluntarily. Also, they are super warm and walk you through everything with timings specifically highlighting closing times. They also offer board games at no extra charge which is amazing. Just check out and return once done. 4. Inn has its own dining lounge with a fine dining menu excellent staff and very nice food. No need to look any further. 5. Inn has its own coffee shop with excellent coffee and breakfast/snack options that stays open till 10pm. There is patio seating outside the cafe to savor your drink/food enjoying the beautiful view of the Mt. Rainier. 6. Inn has a beautiful lobby and gift shop. You can enjoy beautiful piano music live during the morning and afternoon hours. Lots of lounging options by the windows to enjoy the sun. 7. Accessible entrance with minutes from Myrtle Falls, Narada Falls, Reflection Lakes and Christine Falls. In fact the trail to the summit starts right outside the inn. 8. Inn offers parking as well. Rainier National Park entrance. As soon as we parked to check-in, Bob and Joe (Owners/Managers) made us feel welcome. The cabin we had was great. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The views were wonderful. It was so peaceful and quiet. A great place to relax and re-energize. While there, Bob and Joe shared their knowledge of Mt. Rainier and the surrounding area. Telling us the best places to eat, all about the mountain, where to go for pictures, trails to walk, best places to see wildlife, and so much more. They had a campfire one night and provided everything we needed to make Smores. Many of the guests came out to the campfire, enjoying the smores, the conversation, and the stars. It turned out that one couple had stayed there several times before. At the time we were there, the park required vehicles to carry snow chains. They rent chains at the lodge for half the price of the places you can rent them in town. Unfortunately, they didn't have our tire size but immediately offered to go purchase a set for us to rent. By far, Stone Creek lodge was the best place we stayed during our trip. If headed to the National Park or the Ashford area, we highly recommend Stone Creek Lodge.

They take zero responsibility for fixing any issues stated by tenants in any type if timely manner. Like all entitled bullies they harass tenants and threaten them with eviction, if they try to stand up to them and have them do what's right. Septic tanks and water issues left unattended, leaving human waste and filth behind, without regard for human decency or human rights. Whilst raising the rent 3 times now, to almost triple what it was. Knowing most of the residents are on disability and considered long term residents (many since before the new owners). Expected to bring and replaced their own amenities of ANY type.Tenants are treated like lesser people unless they completely comply and let mgmt. bully them. The people talking nicely about the mgmt are actually scared to tell the truth about the conditions at the Tatoosh Motel and it's staff.
