Vets just don't get better than Mountain View. From the front desk team to the techs to the vets, I've never been to an establishment that cares as much as they do. After an unsuccessful battle with hyperthyroidism, I had to say goodbye to my 15 year old cat. Everyone I interacted with treated my cat like she was theirs. They were gentle and kind, giving her love and attention. They let me take my time saying goodbye and never rushed me. I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for about 10 years now, and I really couldn't say enough good things about them. They are good with disabled dogs. I had a dog that was deaf. Right now I have a dog that is missing an eye and she can't see well through the other. She's also a biter because she gets startled easily. The staff is very patient and compassionate towards her. Yes, sometimes it is hard to get an appointment but they will try to squeeze you in if it is serious. Dr. Dempsey is very thorough and she likes to have her clients make follow up appointments and phone calls. Oftentimes, she will have us call the following day to tell her how our pet is doing. If necessary, she will have us come in-- or we can drop the dog off and she will give it additional care as needed. My dog Chuck has separation anxiety so if he has to have lab work done, they let his sister stay with him. We would drop them off and pick them up later. I have lost two dogs thus far, one to cancer and the other to heart failure. The staff was there for us both times. They were very caring and professional. For the last dog, Holly. Dr. Dempsey and another vet observed her at the clinic for several hours before recommending I put her to sleep. Also, she wasn't offended when I said I wanted a second opinion. read more

Long time customer. NEVER AGAIN! Bad customer service from front staff. Had multiple "regular checkups" where they pushed us into "optional" medications that increased our bill to $500-700 for younger, healthy dogs. Final straw, this week our older dog was in pain and dying. His body was shutting down. I explained everything and begged for an appointment. Nobody would even call me back. Nothing. Literally, last week we agreed to hundreds of dollars of suggested heartworm and flea medications (dog has never had either). We didn't question a thing and just paid the $650.00 bill. Literally, this week they ignored us calling while our dog was dying. There are plenty of good Vets in the Upland, Rancho area. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs that have been coming here for years. My cat needed to be seen, I was told there were no openings. They recommended 2 veterinarians, one couldn't see my cat, & the other was a nightmare. The following week we tried to get into Mountain View for my cat again, explaining how uneasy we were about going back to the referred vet. I wa told again, there were no openings. But we could get in 5 days later. I found a brand new vet who saw us right away, and was beyond helpful. Is this how you should treat existing patients? And referrals should be made with total confidence. These referrals were terrible. I know its hard now with Covid, but I was very disappointed. read more

Five years ago we adopted Charlie as a pup and had a vet in Claremont that was just too expensive. We were referred here by a neighbor and we have felt blessed to have Dr. Lopez for the last 3 years. She always takes her time especially with our Bailey who is so scared. The ladies at the front desk always go out of their way to provide me what I need for our insurance company. And if I need to get either one in, they really try to make it work for us. We have never felt gouged by their prices. We finally decided to try Mountain View which is very close to us. Since January, we have brought our 11 year old Rottie boy, our now one year old terrier, and our baby Morkie to Dr. Cull and have never been happier. Her surgical skills, her knowledge of current veterinary practices and resources. the time she takes with us, and her desire to put pet welfare first are all top rate. In fact, Dr. Cull helped save our beloved one year old terrier's life by her astute assessment of his condition and by her swiftly and personally securing an emergency appointment with a top neurologist, in Los Angeles, for us.Her office staff and vet technicians always make us feel like we are welcome and in the best of hands, and honestly, the payments for services have been shockingly reasonable. After our prior vet closed shop, we started coming here based on prior vet's recommendation to see Dr. Dickey. So far, so good. It's been about eight visits, and I really like Dr. Dickey's bed side manner. He has been able to help Ramsay with his back flare ups and all the usual stuff we need (vaccinations, thyroid meds, flea meds, expressing anal glands, etc.) The only reason this is a three star review is because the office environment doesn't seem pet friendly, and I don't get the same good vibes from the staff that I get from Dr. Dickey. The walls are white and bare with the exception of a leash/collar display. No tv, no bulletin boards, no music, no water dish, no office cat or dog, and no cookie jar (much to Charlie's dismay). And they also lack computer technology--receipts and vaccination records are handwritten. Medical charts are kept in paper files. Oh well, I guess we got spoiled at our last place. For now it's important to have a regular vet, so we will likely stay here for awhile. read more

The floors full of hair and the couch smelled like urine. The ladies on the front were nice (of course for them I am their paycheck) but they were busy taking pictures in their phones and laughing loud. Very unprofessional. If my nurse would have these much time in her hands, I would let her go for sure. I don't even want to think what's going on in the back.Not my business, not my payroll, no problem there. We see the vet. Looked like a cool guy, he was young like me. Basically I just wanted an ear flush, and to introduce my dog to our new vet. Boy oh boy was I wrong. I know what my dog has, I JUST WANT an ear cleaning since I can't do it and I do have all the drugs for my dog (my mother owns a pharmacy). He still did what he wanted to do and had the courage to charged me for something I didn't want to. Laboratory test, $30 to find that my dog has Yeast infection and some "other" bacteria lol I almost laughed when he told me that. Yes I know, I just told you 8 minutes ago that I know what my dog has, I just want an ear cleaning. The nurse gave me the medicines and I can tell right way they are over priced. Cipro where I can find it way cheaper I was charged $19, and of course his " special medicine mix" $28 where you can find it for less than $10. I din't ask for the medicines, I told him I have Otomax, Prednisone and plenty of antibiotics too. Honestly didn't want to give the ladies in the front a hard time. I get the bill, $187, felt I was robed in daylight, with a smile and a handshake Come again $$$$...Most likely they charge crazy amount of money to other people too. It's sickening. I understand everyone wants to make money now days but "pinching" money in daylight by a vet, like a car sales man is outrages. I kept my cool all the time and even though you feel like a number, like a chop shop...Money making machine that preys on people and their wallet. Asked the front lady if I could give her an honest advice, by separating every prescription by price and number so the people can understand what's being charged. She gave me a funny look, like I was dumb to ask to know how much every prescription was and started to right them down for me. I didn't meet Dr. Dickey but its ok; I am not fond of his place anyway, which is pretty sad, I was so happy to go there and introduce my dog to his new vet. Mountain View Animal Hospital is the best veterinary clinic/hospital in all of Southern California, maybe further. Their staff are amazing and go above and beyond for your pet's health and well being. My dog Blue recently had a medical emergency and had to be rushed into surgery. Mountain View was the only hospital in a 100 mile radius that was willing to help me. They admitted Blue, performed his surgery and have been keeping him for observation. They provide constant updates and photos of your fur ball the entire time they are in their care. All of the staff are so knowledgeable, friendly and caring; it really helps to puts you at ease during stressful times like these. Special thanks to Dr. Sobotka who first caught the issue with Blue, Dr. D for performing the surgery and saving my baby's life, Jennifer for her hugs and compassion, and Shianne for helping me through this process, getting him admitted right away, checking on my baby afterwards, giving him all the love and hugs during his recovery, sending me photos and updates and just everything in between. If you would have asked me a year ago I would have given 5 stars but no longer. Our dog is very ill with cancer and needs to be euthanized. I called the office and they told me to go to an emergency vet. I was in tears and said I really wanted to talk to a vet. The woman said they were at lunch, did not offer to have a vet call me back, told me they were way too booked and, again, told me to take her to the emergency vet. I called today for my 15 year old dog who is not eating, lethargy and bloody diarrhea. I was told, "Sorry, we're booked all day today and tomorrow.". Really, you couldn't have fit him in? If there was an option for 0 stars I would be leaving that. Since they don't, I'm leaving 1 star. I am an in home pet sitter and was sitting a small Maltese mix male dog that owners belong to this vet hospital. He was sadly bitten by another dog and I needed to move quickly so called this vet as quickly after as I could. I called, they looked up the dogs and owners information and told me that I needed to tell the owners that they needed to authorize me to come in with the dog to be seen, which I completely understand. So since the owners were out of the country my site that I sit for called the vet and sent them documentation that I was the pet sitter and sent paperwork from their company. After not hearing from them the representative from the website emailed them and with still no answer an hour later she went ahead and called back and told them I had just been in and they had to turn me away. I went in because I was extremely concerned with the dogs well being and they then decided to tell me that they could not take appointments today because it was the vets surgical day and they don't see any appointments today. WHY DID THEY NOT TELL ME or the site representative that when we had called 3 times prior? It was very unprofessional and put my dogs health at risk and in extreme danger if I had kept waiting for them for a response. I have no idea why they could no relay this information to me sooner so I could have taken the dog to an emergency hospital, which I had to end up doing anyway. I truly wish this never happens to any of their future patients because it would be the absolute worst to lose a pet over such nonsense like this today. read more

Let me first start with saying the doctors here are all very nice and caring towards our dogs. Dr. Dicky especially seems very down to earth. However I always felt they were a little on the pricey side. My dog had a fatty tumor that needed to be removed. Dr. H. looked at him about a year ago and gave me a quote of approx. $300. He even told me he was going to write it in my chart for reference later. A year later we decided to get the tumor removed. It has a grown a little since the first exam, so I thought the price might go up a little. I scheduled the surgery and the day before I called to confirm the appt and pricing. I was SHOCKED. All of a sudden they couldnt locate the reference of the pricing in my chart and now the new pricing was $500 to $750. Sad to confirm they are WAY over priced. But this experience led me to find a GREAT new doctor (PetTime in Upland), that charged me only $350 for the removal and we really liked the doctor. PS - when I questioned the pricing and told them of the price Dr. H originally quoted me, sadly they offered nothing to remedy this; it was an "oh well that's the price, take it or leave it" attitude. read more

Oh Dr Dickey, you are awesome. My 10 yo son (yes dog) had a growth on his side that needed to be removed. Dr D was so sweet and compassionate. He came recommended by a friend and she was so very right. I felt so comfortable through the whole process. Finn dog is on day two post surgery and is doing great. Mass gone along with two other growths and got his teeth cleaned. So very pleased. Finally found my forever vet in California. In trying to set an appointment for our dog, we told the receptionist that we prefer not to see Dr Lopez. They called us back and said that since Dr Lopez was buying the business, to come and pick up our file, that we were no longer welcome there. Never even asked us why we didn't want Dr Lopez, just told us to go somewhere else. We had been a customer for several years. Last year our Shepard had surgery on her back, Dr Lopez told us to start walking her which made her condition worsen, and hurt her. After that we decided to never allow her to treat one of our dogs again, but were willing to be seen by another Doctor there. read more

It's taking me a year to write this review! I lost both of my dogs this time last year ... there's not a day that goes by I don't regret taking them there . my 11 year old lab became very ill , we went in prepared to put her down instead Dr Shuana suggested we do blood work and also thought this was not a dog ready to be put down ..but she thought that my dog just needed to get her nails trimmed ... my poor dog was in so much pain .. Then I was sent home with some medication for the wrong dog ! That was a Friday .. I watched my dog take her last breath on Sunday After about 1week our 3 year old German Shepherd started displaying similar symptoms... unable to go #2 , he had a bad Oder , and was not eating Took German shepherd to her and told her these are the same symptoms that my Labrador had ... Basically she acted like that was impossible! I told her both dogs ate the same kind of bone that we purchased at target .. she said that Both illnesses had nothing to do with each other ... My German shepherd died of cardiac arrest during her attempt to clear the bone fragments out of his colon... She asked us if we wanted to say our goodbyes and see him .. no attempt was made to clean him up .. I can still see his face in my memory.. My mistake was letting my kids go back there and say goodbye to their beloved German Shepherd.. It was a sight no one should see .... to make it all worse they ordered his ashes for us which were delivered with his name misspelled.. I blame myself for taking both my dogs there ... I absolutely know without a shadow of doubt that my Labrador died of the same thing .. Yes she was old but her cause of death was from those bones .. and if there would have been further investigation of the true cause of death I could have had those bones pulled from the shelves ... We will never recover from what we saw there ! read more

I've known Dr. Culley for 30 + years and he is not only an excellent veterinarian but also a great human being. I remember when I first met Dr. C years ago he drove an old Ford Bronco while most vets drove Mercedes Benz's or BMW's. My point is that Dr. C isn't in this for the money. He's a vet because he genuinely cares about animals and is the utmost professional in this regard. So I take exception to the review that denigrates the professionalism of the staff at MVVH. It's obvious that if a pet has "blood and pus" come out of their anus during a examination, that it is from a pre-existing condition that was very likely caused by poor care from the owner. And this has happened 3 times! I'm not hating .. just saying...maybe the owner should looked around home for whatever might be causing this awful situation before their next pet becomes #4. Dr. Culley is the only vet that my 12 years old Jack Russell goes to and is as energetic as when she was a pup. A large part of her great health is due to the expertise of Dr. Culley and staff. So I highly recommend that if you are looking for a vet MVVH is the place to go. I suggest that you stop by and meet the Dr's and staff, ask questions, and then decide for yourself if MVVH is the place for your pet. read more

I love this veterinary office ! The staff is very friendly and it is obvious that they enjoy their jobs. Dr. Dickey is SUCH a friendly man with a good heart; he doesn't just do his job, he gets to know the people and pets he is interacting with and that is priceless. A few years ago, we unfortunately had to put our giant Schnauzer, Midnight, to sleep and the staff was completely patient with my mom and I who were complete messes. Dr. Dickey came out to our car and carried our giant dog in, was so gentle with him, and allowed us as much time as we wanted after Midnight passed. Today, I took my almost four year old Yorkie for his shots and a checkup; he didn't even cry during his shot ! I was so surprised. The doctor commented that Gizmo had a pretty boring file which made me laugh but I know it's a good thing because he is healthy ! :) You can definitely trust that your pets - who are a part of our families - are in good and loving hands at this vet. been going here for 30+ years when owned by previous vets, who have retired. took my 15 year old Golden retriever there for check up..she comes out limping...they pass it off to the "slippery floors"..up until that day she walked 3 miles with me every day. she is now completely lame in her rear right leg..they finally fessed up she had a "fall", caused by the vet tech Lindsay, who jerked her in the opposite direction, causing her leg to slip out, and cause a severe injury. 4 weeks later, she can still only limp out to go potty. No more walking, which has made her very depressed. they did initial tests, which they did not charge for, and provided some medication, but now, 4 weeks later, my Sara is still lame, and they will not cover the cost of more medication . they caused her injury, and now won't continue to cover her ongoing care! Shame on them...you ruined my pets last few months on earth, she can no longer walk due to your negligence! Don't go here! read more

Just came back from dropping my girl Baby off at 9am. My girl needed her teeth cleaned desperately! Doctor Shauna Anderson was absolutely AMAZING!!! She took her time with me and all my questions. Dr Heisy (sp?) is absolutely the BEST! Everyone in this office is so wonderful and caring. Dr Heisy is thorough, and kind and took such wonderful care of our Golden retriever. All of my past experiences with other vet offices have left me feeling as if it was just a racket to see how much money they could milk out of you, with no real care or concern for your pet. The opposite is true if this office. While they are not the cheapest vet around I'm sure (which would concern me too!) they are conservative in their treatments and try to find the best possible treatment without charging an arm & a leg. As it turned out for us, our dog did end up needing surgery, and even though it was expensive, it truly was not out of line for what they did. Her care was excellent and I'm happy to say she's doing even better than before!
