I have been taking my dogs to this clinic for about 10 years now, and I really couldn't say enough good things about them. They are good with disabled dogs. I had a dog that was deaf. Right now I have a dog that is missing an eye and she can't see well through the other. She's also a biter because she gets startled easily. The staff is very patient and compassionate towards her. Yes, sometimes it is hard to get an appointment but they will try to squeeze you in if it is serious. Dr. Dempsey is very thorough and she likes to have her clients make follow up appointments and phone calls. Oftentimes, she will have us call the following day to tell her how our pet is doing. If necessary, she will have us come in-- or we can drop the dog off and she will give it additional care as needed. My dog Chuck has separation anxiety so if he has to have lab work done, they let his sister stay with him. We would drop them off and pick them up later. I have lost two dogs thus far, one to cancer and the other to heart failure. The staff was there for us both times. They were very caring and professional. For the last dog, Holly. Dr. Dempsey and another vet observed her at the clinic for several hours before recommending I put her to sleep. Also, she wasn't offended when I said I wanted a second opinion.

After reading some of the reviews I felt I needed to write a positive one since that is truly how it's been for us. Five years ago we adopted Charlie as a pup and had a vet in Claremont that was just too expensive. We were referred here by a neighbor and we have felt blessed to have Dr. Lopez for the last 3 years. She always takes her time especially with our Bailey who is so scared. The ladies at the front desk always go out of their way to provide me what I need for our insurance company. And if I need to get either one in, they really try to make it work for us. We have never felt gouged by their prices. We just love them and appreciate their care and love they show to both of our babies. So if someone is checking out a vet, please contact them, you won't be sorry.

Been going here for 30 years and Dr. Culley has always taken the best care of my dogs. The staff, techs and front desk are always kind and thoughtful. Their pricing has been fair, and I have always trusted this hospital to do what is right by my pet, using conservative methods unless the situation warrants something more aggressive. Dr. Culley has been honest and professional and I appreciate that he will not hesitate to refer me to a specialist in a given field if the situation requires, instead of trying to treat something he does not specialize in.

I took my dog, Billfred, to this veterinary clinic on 7/8 because he was bleeding from his mouth…read more My regular veterinarian was completely booked, so I had no choice but to seek care elsewhere. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. I felt like the focus was more on making money than on identifying and treating the actual problem. My dog was seen by Dr. Austin, who performed her initial exam in the back instead of in the exam room with me present. I found this unusual since every other veterinarian I've been to has examined my pet in front of me. I specifically mentioned that Billfred had rotten teeth and asked that they be checked because I was concerned they could be causing the bleeding. Dr. Austin told me that his teeth were "the least of our worries" and instead recommended extensive blood work, including fecal testing. I was quoted approximately $500 for routine lab work or $1,000 for STAT labs. I agreed to the routine labs because I wanted to help my dog. Later that same evening, Billfred started bleeding again. This time I was able to locate the source myself--it was clearly coming from one of his bad teeth. That left me confused and frustrated. If the source of the bleeding was his tooth, why wasn't that identified during his exam? Why were expensive lab tests recommended before ruling out the obvious issue I had specifically pointed out? It also made me question how thorough the examination really was since it was performed out of my sight. The following day, 7/9, I called the clinic and asked to speak with a manager to express my concerns. I was told the only thing they could do was refund the office visit because Dr. Austin is the owner of the facility. While I appreciate the refund, it did not address my concerns about the quality of care or the unnecessary expenses I incurred. As a pet owner, I expect my concerns to be heard and for the most likely causes of a problem to be thoroughly evaluated before recommending costly diagnostic testing. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Based on my experience, I would not return to this clinic or recommend it to others.

If your pet is ever unfortunate enough to be diagnosed with cancer, this is the place to go…read more My dog, Henry and I have had an exceptional experience at MarQueen Veterinary Oncology Clinic in Upland. The front desk check-in ladies are always friendly, helpful and professional, and the clinic itself is clean and well run. During my initial referral appointment, Dr FitzPatrick explained my dog Henry's grade 3 mast cell tumor diagnosis clearly and honestly. He took the time to walk me through the prognosis, next steps, and all available treatment options. I appreciated that he was straightforward about what to expect while still being compassionate and supportive. We are now about six weeks into treatment, with weekly bloodwork and chemotherapy. One thing that has stood out is the consistency of care. Veterinary Technician Shannon always comes to the waiting room to take Henry back for his treatments. I truly appreciate seeing the same person each time. Shannon is kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and Henry is clearly comfortable with her. Henry is feeling pretty good overall, even after his chemotherapy sessions. Seeing him do well has been a blessing and has helped reassure me that his treatments are helping. While I understand the prognosis is serious, I feel confident that Henry is receiving the best possible care here in order to extend his quality of life. I'm very grateful for the level of care Henry is receiving and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone needing Oncology services for their pet.

Please read this before coming here. I brought my very sick senior yorkie in yesterday morning…read morearound 10 am since we were referred here by another EMERGENCY hospital that was not equipped for an ultrasound which was what my baby needed. We didn't get vitals until an hour later and then once we're in a room an hour after that to talk to a dr we waited for another 2 hours and then the dr tells us they'll go ahead and do the ultrasound and said it will be done anytime before 6pm because we were a "walk in" THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION and my dog was actively dying!! Mind you we got there at 10 and the whole time his gallbladder was ruptured and leaking and there was no sense of urgency at all. Not to mention the doctors attitude was so cold and casual I believe her name was Zamora. Once the ultrasound was done around 3/4 pm we waited and waited and waited still for them to talk to us about the results probably over another hour or two we were waiting all for Zamora to come in very causally once again and say his gallbladder is the cause of all this and it has mucocele which is causing inflammation and he needs surgery. She just came in, opened her laptop and told us the findings. She didn't even SHOW us the ultrasounds or go in depth like every other place I've been to. You would think for $1,900 they would do that but no all they care about is the money and it shows. After she told us the news I say when are you doing the surgery and she responds "right now I'm holding the surgeon here" and then quotes us 17k minimum and 20k maximum for this surgery and hospitalization. So we're over here panicking and stressing because he's actively dying and they're trying to rob us and on top of that giving him a 50/50 chance of survival. Me and my mom were in panic trying to find another way another place to just save my dog since this is just not realistic for an average person but they seem to think otherwise. Anyway we asked if we could have a moment to discuss and make phone calls and throughout this whole time suddenly they were readily available and not busy and kept coming in to the room asking if we've made a decision yet and then at one point come in to say "so you're not doing surgery then? So I can send the surgeon away" how could they say that when all they had done all day was making us wait and suddenly it's urgent only when it comes to getting money!! And every time I asked a question regarding his rupture and gallbladder the lady kept saying "let me ask" "let me check" because the doctor that was just there had already disappeared!! We ended up making a phone call to an amazing vet hospital in Tijuana called "hospital de Mascotas SAJI" we called them and they said to bring him in as soon as we could so we got our baby back from this place and declined the surgery which they did not look too happy about. On the way to TJ, the vets over there were asking for all his lab work in order to be prepared for his surgery and when I called marqueen for his records and ultrasound results to be emailed to me they took over an hour and I had to call 3 times! said the doctor needs to sign off even though we were just there and we're entitled to our records. We made our way to Tijuana Mexico where they did a quick ultrasound that took minutes as soon as we got there and then proceeded with surgery. Unfortunately our baby didn't make it I only wish I would have come to this place in Mexico sooner. If only MarQueen treated this as an emergency as it was after all it's in their name and did tests sooner perhaps we could have gotten him to his surgery sooner and he would have had more of a chance since he was too far gone by the time the whole day of waiting around has passed. To everyone reading this I suggest you find a vet in Mexico or go to this one for a pet emergency or even any need. They care so much more about your pet for not even a fraction of the cost and on top of that they were COMPASSIONATE. I was also quoted $1,800 in Mexico for the same surgery, medication and hospitalization if my baby had pulled through.
