I've now given Imperial Dental in Yucaipa two chances, and unfortunately both visits left me extremely disappointed due to excessive waiting. For my first appointment (dentist and hygienist) a few weeks ago, I intentionally scheduled the earliest time of the day to avoid delays. I arrived 15 minutes early, as requested. Despite that, I waited...and waited...and waited. I was repeatedly told they would be with me "soon," but no one ever came. I finally left 45 minutes past my actual appointment time without being seen. I decided to give them another try and rescheduled. Today's appointment started off better. I arrived 10 minutes early, was called back on time for X‑rays, and the dentist was professional and efficient. No complaints there. But after that, I was sent back to the waiting room to wait for the hygienist. And once again, the waiting began. The front desk staff actually asked if I was waiting from someone receiving treatment. Really?! Eventually I was told the patient before me was taking longer than expected and that I would need to wait another 40-45 minutes. I declined. I understand delays happen, but this seems to be a pattern here. I don't pretend to know the inner workings of a dental office, but I do know I value my time and don't appreciate being kept waiting--especially after arriving early and scheduling morning appointments specifically to avoid this. At this point, I can't recommend Imperial Dental based on my experience with their scheduling and wait times. read more

I took my grandfather to get dental work at Imperial. He had a couple issues and they quoted him an amount that appeared quite high to us but ultimately we decided to move forward with their suggested treatment. I did ask if the quote included his insurance and they confirmed. To calm my 'sticker shock,' they showed me a comparison of what it would be if we paid out of pocket with no insurance. After his follow up appointment, they said they identified a couple additional issues and that his revised treatment would now come out to around $3,500. I was appalled by the quote as my grandfather is on a fixed income and has insurance. We decided to check out another provider (Western Dental) and they charged less than $100 total for the same work that Imperial quoted us. Additionally, I showed Western Dental the quote Imperial provided and they said they weren't surprised as they've heard a similar story from other clients... I left with the impression that Imperial over charges to an extreme. I would not recommend getting treatment here. read more

I went to this place yesterday it took them 5 to minutes to do X ray and maybe other 10 to check gums and to tell me that I need a cleaning because my gums are kind of separated from the teeth and about 2 hours and 30 sitting down while they were checking on insurance and prices and Hell NOOOO ! Office staff is nice enough, however the signs of a money hungry corporate ran office is evident. I typically stay clear of these places, but their online appointment system was really convenient and I took a chance. I used to be adamant about visiting the dentist every six months, but have fallen behind since moving a year ago. I'm not a medical expert of course, but I am very familiar with dental exams and procedures. Additionally, I had a military dental exam (I'm in the Air Force) about four months ago, and the dentist told me I only needed a basic cleaning they just didn't have time to do it. Moving on to the experience: As soon as the hygienist began her periodontal probing, I could tell I wasn't in great care. She was extremely heavy handed and I've never had an exam cause so much discomfort. After the exam, she recommended an array of treatments including a laser gum procedure. Keep in mind, my teeth are healthy, I have never had a cavity (I'm 36) and my x-rays showed no signs of periodontal disease. This procedure costs $400 out of pocket and would have been completely unnecessary. Again, the staff was nice, but it's obvious the care of their patients is second to the care of their wallets. I left as fast as I could. There are plenty of good dentists in this area, so do yourself a favor and go find care somewhere else, as I will. read more

Beware this place! My husband had a really bad tooth ache and I called this place to make an emergent appointment. They did give him a next day appointment that we were very happy about, until my husband got there. They did X-rays and told him he had an infection and that the work they were going to do would cost about $4000 out of pocket AFTER charging our PPO insurance. It would have been $10,000 without insurance. We went somewhere else where we received excellent care and for the exact same work they charged $150.. these people are only out for your money! read more

Went here for 3 years. Biggest regret of my life. They are only after your money. Most recently I had a root canal done there and something felt off. I went back for a check up with the endo and he said to pull it and said that it was my fault the root probably broke (no evidence to prove root is broken). Went to another office and turns out the endo went too far and the plug is sticking out at the bottom of the root causing inflammation. This is just one of many horrible experiences...I'm in constant pain and they RUINED my teeth. If you see this review please please please do not go here. Well its not that they aren't doing their best. Some of them are great. But I must say EVERY SINGLE Crown I've gotten there has fallen off. I have very good hygiene and no gum problems, so it is not me. I've had a couple crowns done at my last dentist that are still on fine!. I've told them their glue/cement (?) stuff sucks! Today, I had one put back on that I just got 2 weeks ago. So, like I said, it's not the students' fault. It's their "glue." By the way, did I say that that's who works there? Protect the elderly from going to this place .. luckily I understand how insurance works. They gave me issues with my insurance thinking I wouldn't call my insurance to clarify my coverage. They will try to scam you! They tried to charge me over $5000 for my child to get a root canal and my insurance actually covered everything accept the co pay. Had I not of called my insurance they would have got me. I can't imagine how many people they trick into paying out of pocket. Although it took multiple offices to find the right fit I can say confidently that 3rd time was a charm! Im so grateful we came to Imperial! From the moment I spoke to the staff by phone-Veronica felt warm and inviting. She was indeed warm and inviting in person -such a sweet person. We didn't wait long periods like in other offices either. Dr Phillips is amazing! Super patient, gentle and extremely informative! I appreciate the time he took with my daughter and explained everything to do with the treatment plan. Nicole walked me through the financial portion of the visit. It was easy to understand and I even made it a point to make appointments for the rest of my family. Rudy & Tiana were both so nice and didn't mind answering my many questions. I love this place, I've been going here for almost 10 years, I got my braces done here, all of my check ups, and my cleanings done. Sandra is amazing with sensitive teeth and making sure that the quality of care is always at its best. Although this place is alittle more expensive, I believe it's worth it for the experience you receive from them. The the only nice thing I can talk about is some of the front desk ladies. Kim, Helena and Jose, are very nice and patient. I don't have anything good to say about De Leng. I now have a hole on my molar with my nerves wide open with a temporary crown that hurts like crazy. They were supposed to do a crown but they don't have an endodontist of their own and the only option you have is a subcontractor, Mohammad Sirjani. Horrible arrogant man. He tried 2 1/2 "minutes" to do a root canal. He got up threw his tools on the small table and mumbled to himself no I can't do this in a very angry voice. He didn't come back to tell me nothing. I found out from the assistants that I should have my tooth extracted because "he's a lazy rude" Dr. That doesn't care at all. I've been left crying to the assistant Jose (an angel of a man) about my molar. The assistant said they were going to send me home with some pain killers (that he never prescribed). I am enduring this pain for about a month now. I don't have time to look around for another dentist. I am everyday in pain. They are barbaric. I'm am so disappointed in this establishment. I have recommended my friends here and was embarrassed by how much they want to charge and other things that happened. What they say on their front page "why choose imperial dental?" it's a lie! Dr. Leng cares crap about patience base on my experience. I wish I've never gone to that dentist. I should have read the reviews and avoided this place. I feel I gave them a good chance, even though the wait time was longer than I find acceptable. To begin with, you walk in and go to sign in and they ask what you are there for. There are 2 sign in sheets, no signs. The really big mistake they made was trying to over charge for a procedure. Their reply was it was an upgraded procedure as the doctor requested. They can't just change it, the doctor has to change it. This upgrade was never discussed with me at all. So, with insurance, my crown was going to cost me $1,625. Kind of crazy. I have changed dentists to a smaller office. I am hoping less overhead will result in better care and less upselling. read more

This place is terrible. Every appointment takes forever no matter what time it's scheduled for. We've had multiple occasions where my kids' appointments have had to be rescheduled last minute and then I have to rearrange my schedule to get my kids seen. Very poor customer service on the office staff. And what's really great is that we have never been given toothbrushes at any of our appointments. The staff keep saying it's due to the pandemic but even before it started we never got them. Horrible! Made an appointment for my son to have all four wisdom teeth pulled. Checked in at 11:45AM because we are always early. The front desk told me to sit and they'll call me to fill out paperwork. Well we waited patiently until my son started getting antsy. He had to fast for eight hours so no breakfast or lunch and minimal water. So I went to the front to ask about how long at 12:30pm. She pulled out his paperwork and had me sign them and took payment. She told me he would be called next. Well nothing and it is 12:45, my son is now saying if we could just leave because he was so hungry. So I said we would wait until 1pm and I would ask for a refund and we would leave. Mind you my son is the most patient person I know. He never wants me to ask how long or any of that. I went up at 1:05pm to the "pregnant office person" who was just not happy at all. And told her I wanted a refund and we were leaving. She said she would have to have the office manager do that but she was on the phone and she would call me up. So I get called up and she said, "He is next." I told her he is hungry has not eaten and we are going to leave if I can just have a refund. Then she says, "Well there was an emergency surgery and it's going a little longer." I told her, "It would've been nice if someone would communicate with me and let me know instead of saying we are going to be next." Then she goes to say, "Well Check in time is at 12pm not the appointment"! What the heck is that? So our appointment is whenever you want? We just get here check in and sit here until your ready no matter how long it is?! It could've been avoided if someone would've communicated with us. read more

I went here last year to get my son braces off advise that this office was good and had competitive pricing. Come to find out they are overpriced as my other son we took him to bright now dental and was a thousand dollars cheaper. They front desk is rude and does not return phone calls. I would never recommend this location. On the other hand I just took my son to thier Corona location and has the same orthodontist and they are amazing there. I tried to transfer him but Yuciapa location saying I have to pay my balance in full to them to transfer, even though it is the same company. NEVER GO TO YUCIAPA IMPERIAL DENTAL, such a headache, overpriced, front office workers are all rude, the lady that gives you the qoutes rips you off. DO NOT let them work on your teeth!! My husband and I were patients here about 4 years ago and they are fine for cleanings and staff is friendly BUT as far as dental work goes, they are TERRIBLE! My husbands' on-lay has FALLEN OUT twice in the last two years and the dentist who fixed it was shocked that any dentist would gut practically the entire tooth, he now has to get a crown. I had two on-lays done, per their recommendation, and both have created HUGE food gaps that I have to floss every time I eat something. If they tell you you need work done I would definitely get a second opinion from an experienced dentist. I had at least 3 young dentists while I was there and each of them seemed inexperienced. I've been going here for 6 years but won't be anymore. I really enjoyed having Dr. Leng as a dentist (he has great rapport and is very friendly), but every time I've come here it is a minimum 3-4 hour visit, and I am always told that I need extra work done on my teeth. I'm brought in, sit in the chair for 30 minutes until they see me, then they pick around my teeth, then leave for another 30 minutes, then come tell me I need cavities to be filled, then I wait another 15 minutes till someone comes to fill out paperwork, then I wait another 20 minutes until they come and numb my mouth. Then I wait 45 minutes until they come back for filling my tooth. It's the longest process ever. I've never had a quick cleaning and check up visit. It's always long and drawn out, with extra money and fees. I take care of my teeth and I don't understand how they always seem to find something every time I come. You'd think after 6 years I would have learned. This will be my last time. Finding a new place. I don't have time to spend half of my day at the office. read more

Uodate**** dental insurance finalized my grievance and are refunding me over 800$$ due to over charge.

My name is Georgina C. Fadeley I had an appointment on July 17th. I was looking forward to this appointment at noon since my teeth and my jaw was hurting so bad I was gonna have a crown done. when I got there I was ready to pay my co payment which was 200 $ to my surprise they said I would have to pay 675$ they said my insurance would not pay for my crown because there was no decay. (much to my surprise) I did my homework and we were covered. I said I wanted to talk to the doctor. we finally did & the doctor said that the crowns were decayed, but there was a clause in the insurance that says they would only pay every five years for a crown. so I called delta care from the office that day and talked to the rep, they said we were insured and they would cover it because she has never made a claim with them and so I gave the phone to the receptionist and she told her I was covered, she didn't want to listen. she had talked to the doctor and whispered something so the receptionist told delta care that she should go back to her old dentist and I TOLD Them that she has moved to this location and she can't go back there. Never offered to take care of her, or take our co payment.
