My wife and I stopped in after doing laundry just around the corner. We are in between meal times so there was only one other table with a patron. Our server was young, friendly, and professional! She did a great job! After cruising the menu we we ordered. My wife decided on the grilled chicken Panini and I their baby spinach salad, adding black and salmon. I also ordered a bowl of chowder. Little did we know this was nearly the same meal that we ordered during our last visit until I checked Yelp. I also ordered a Maine Lunch beer while my wife ordered a ginger ale. My chowder came out first. It was absolutely delicious! Our meals came out shortly thereafter. my wife's Panini was huge as were the french fries which I jokingly called potato logs. My baby spinach salad was huge as well. Topped off with a lovely large piece of salmon! It was blackened perfectly! My wife took home half of her sandwich while I devoured my entire salad. What a great find this place is in Ossipee. Cute restaurant with super friendly waitstaff. The dumplings are to die for on the appetizer menu. I don't know what kind of dipping sauce it is (ginger and soy maybe) but it keeps me coming back for more. Absolutely delicious! At lunch, my favorite is the turkey club. Nice and crispy bacon is key and real turkey meat off the bird, no deli stuff here. Hubby enjoyed his mozzarella triangles w marinara dipping sauce. He also had the steak tips that he enjoyed. Both of our meals came with unique French fries that were also fresh and crispy. We have also had the Mac & cheese with pulled pork at dinner and the burgers, also delish. This place alluded me for several years...well we came here once like 5 years ago and it was closed. Now when I was going to be back in the White Mountains (close but not super close) I somehow stumbled onto it by doing a big research of restaurants in a large area around where we would be staying and going on hikes, etc. This place came up on my radar again, but it was far enough away I thought it unlikely we would make it here. Well we were about a half hour or so North of here and then decided to come to a Thrift Store about 5 minutes away...I guess it was meant to be. We called this time and decided to give it a whirl even though it was under new management. Well I don't usually say this, but this place was cute as a button. It's in a small old train depot-like where people might wait for a train to get out of the cold. It had some model trains on the wall and such and was roomy for a smaller place. Some places the tables are really packed in, but this place was very comfortable. Our server was a girl (with blonde hair) in her teens and while I didn't get her name, I was very impressed with her patience with my mom who mumbles stuff sometimes... All around she was very attentive when she needed to be and backed off when we clearly needed time to just eat. Big fan when young people are very professional-anyway she deserves a raise-and we tried to do our part with the tip! Food wise, and this is the best part: Everything we had, and I do mean everything was very good! First off we were starving after hiking and doing touristy stuff all day, so we got onion rings and chicken fingers to start. Both of these were about as good as one can expect-they clearly change their oil regularly. For mains, I had the cheeseburger (4.5) and my mom had the Station Burger (5/5) with BBQ Sauce, onion rings and I forget what else...both were very good and were clearly not a burger paddy from a box. My girlfriend had the steak tips with mashed and zuchinni/summer squash...also very good, even good enough for me to order and I am very picky with my tips. Oh they had really good fries-I think they were a little seasoned but not overly so. We were stuffed and even brought "home" leftovers... Can't comment on dessert because we were all stuffed but I will say everything I saw at other tables looked very good. Saw clams, a few sandwiches including a chicken salad one I almost got. Overall this place is was excellent and I would put it on your list when your in the area. Our server came pretty quickly, and we ordered poutine as an appetizer, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was good. Not overpowering on the spice, I personally prefer a bit more. The chicken tenders were so good, huge portions! We had enough for lunch the next day. Overall great food and service. We took our kids and unfortunately, they do not have LIDS for the cups. This was a bit stressful since of course, they spilled their drink. They said they don't use straws because they got caught in the plumbing because people were dumping them in the sink. I get that, but a lid on the kids cup is a must. read more

Since the new owners took over, I have NEVER had a bad meal here. They had a beet salad special and it was delicious and the best salad I have had in a long time! Their clam chowder is excellent too! Was very pleased to find this treasure in Ossipee. A historic restaurant, the menu was diverse and simple. The waitresses were all extremely nice and funny and their crab cakes were delicious. Our first time going and it was delicious, I had the scallops which was over penne with mushrooms, spinach and sun dried tomatoes and a delicious sauce. Wife had Salmon with Mustard sauce with asparagus and roasted potatoes, Salmon was cooked perfectly. Had the Mussels for an appetizer, PEI mussels in a great sauce. My family and I have been coming up to Madison annually for the last 9 years or so and we were looking for a new restaurant to visit. Yelp didn't disappoint. I was intrigued by the reviews and decided to take my family here to try it out. The first night we came (yes, we came twice in one trip!) was on a Thursday, It is very easy to miss this place, and Waze didn't do a great job directing us to the right building. Just look for what looks like an old train station, and you will be there. There is very limited parking in front of the restaurant, but plenty in the back. We were told there would be a 40 minute wait on the first night we went. It ended up being closer to 25 minutes. They give you a buzzer while you wait so you can sit outdoors if there is no space inside to wait. We were seated in a cozy corner of the restaurant with a padded bench. Behind us were cards and games and we found a deck of Uno cards to keep us entertained while we waited for food. It's the little things that add to the charm and appeal of this place. By boys really wanted their turkey club sandwich, but they ran out of turkey. In one way, you'd think I'd dock a star for them running out of food, but the reality is that it was the end of their open hours and the fact that they make fresh turkey every day just makes this place better! My boys ordered the chicken parm and ate it all up. It was a huge portion and they ate the leftover pasta next day for lunch. I had the clam chowder (they ran out of the fish chowder) and fish and chips and the fish and fries were amazing. Perfectly fried! A few days later we decided to come back with my in-laws so they can try this new find. I suggested they try the fish and chips as they were that good. They loved it! The boys finally got their turkey club and they sandwiches were so big they could only eat half. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings. It was very filling, though I'd prefer the fish and chips when I go back. I also finally got to try their fish chowder, which is more broth than cream - but not Manhattan style (there was milk in it, no tomatoes). It was light and delicious and I preferred it over the thicker clam chowder. We also sampled their ice cream sundaes and strawberry shortcake which were both amazing. All in all this is a place to try. Don't be discouraged with the antique exterior - it's what's inside that matters. Get there early (before 5:30) and make sure to try the fish chowder and fish and chips! read more

Driving home from North Conway and starving. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! I had the fish chowder, which was full of big chunks of flaky whitefish and a rich (but not thickened) broth. Poutine was full of melty cheese and savory gravy. Hubby's tenderloin tips were cooked perfectly with a tasty marinade. I didn't have any of the seafood, but based on how many people ordered the fish and chips and clams, and how good they looked, I'll have to get them next time. read more

Incredible!!!! We had a wonderful, really amazing dining experience on Sunday August 3, 2025. I had heard great recommendations from friends but wasn't quite sure what to expect. This is a homey and friendly local family restaurant. The hiking friend and I had lunch here after a local hike. Bayle Mountain has great views with just 2.5 miles round trip! We were visiting from warm Arizona and went to Mountainview Station. In a word PHENOMINAL!!!! I could not believe how amazing the food was. Being originally from NH and missing great seafood what a treat this place was. First off, the fish chowder. Absolutely the best I've had. So fresh, so flavorful and so damn good. 10 out of 10!!! The whole belly fried clams were perfection, so fresh, perfectly fried and so delicious!!! And the onion rings, home made and perfectly fried.
