    Baked Haddock
    Lindsay C.

Was in Saturday night for the first time . Long wait . 45 mins at least . Small place few tables . The fried calamari was the best tasting item. Lobster rolls looked good . Baked haddock , no flavor at all siting in water no butter in the crumb and no seasoning ! Not even salt and pepper. Bland as F . Everyone complained about the watered down drinks , from the pink lemonade to the alcohol drinks and the cole slaw . The cabbage was soft and limp like it was old .i do not think it's fresh seafood . Tasted like frozen to me or old. One or the other . The onion rings were pretty good . Waitress was not attentive . I will not be back . Lots of other seafood places around .

Had fresh scallops and the best Cole slaw in my life.

The food was fresh New England ocean scallops. I walked in late and the allowed me to come in 845 pm. I was amazed at the quality and attention Chrissy gave me. The world is filled with stress costs are high but she engaged and made me feel good. The food is not as expensive as others I have eaten but the quality was as good as others. With the visit.

Stopped by on our way to Maine. Had this insatiable craving for a lobster roll and this place exceeded my expectations. Definitely stop by for a lobster roll and the haddock bites are amazing

We have not been to Jake's in quite a few years as there were better places to go and did not care for their food, but thought we try it again as friends said it was good. Guess what, it was not. Clams and Scallops were overcooked, fries under cooked and no, they do not cross each other out. I got 6 clams and 6 Scallops and plenty of fries to fill and make it look big. If you are in the area and want good food, this is not the place, try Bay Haven Lobster Pound(worth the extra drive to get there) and Mountain View Station in Ossipee Center. Both are very good and portions are better and never overcooked. I did not include my wife's picture of her lobster salad, but it was so small, it is 1/4 the size you get from Bay Haven for the same price. On a good note, the staff is friendly and delivered food to our vehicle.

    Outstanding fried full-belly clam platter.

We went up to New Hampshire for the weekend and I thought we weren't going to get a chance to eat good clam chowder and fried full-bellied clams as many of the restaurants were closed on Sunday night and all day Monday. Fortunately, we found Jakes in Ossippee and it was on our way to the Manchester airport. It's a cozy homey place with friendly staff, and outstanding seafood. I enjoyed my clam chowder, not pasty or gummy which is the norm here in Florida, but very creamy and flavorful. If I could find one minor flaw it would be that I would have liked some bigger pieces of clam in the chowder, but the flavor is superb. The fried full-bellied clam dinner was also superb! Clams were so sweet and tender. Even the fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce deserve praise. Thanks for making our trip to New Hampshire complete. We will be sure to plan a visit the next time we are up in the mountains!

    Captains Combo

First timer and I loved it. Captains Combo of fried seafood -fries AND onion rings to boot. The breading light and crispy. Belly clams, scallops, haddock and shrimp. My pink lemonade was yummy and she even gave me a " to go " cup for my second helping. The place is extremely clean and decorated so nautical and woodsy. We WILL BE BACK. Great menu and the prices ( even in this economy) are great. Gotta check this little gem out! They're open Fri-Tues. Yelp says they're closed today but THEY ARE OPEN

Super friendly staff, super cozy restaurant. Fish tacos are tasty, the Sweet Chili Salmon is one of my favorite dishes anywhere.

A bit overpriced. I have been served frozen seafood . Their french fries are frozen and their coleslaw is not homemade.

Best clam or fish chowder in NH. All the people who work there are locals and like their job. Great service. You will be glad you stopped.

I last reviewed Indian Mound Pizza in 2017, and gave it four stars, downgrading it from five only…read morebecause of its small storefront seating accommodations. The pizza was excellent at that time. My wife and I have since seen it slide quite seriously in a number of areas since. Our most recent takeout pizza experience has prompted me to write an update. Our most recent pizza takeout order was for a large pizza, topped with mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach. It was prepared very promptly, and was ready for pickup in 15 minutes from the time we placed our telephone order. The crust was simply okay; it was certainly not the memorable crust as in former years, being rubbery and tasteless, and not the knockout Neopolitan recipe that I savored during my last review. The cheese was similarly rubbery and tasteless, not the wonderful stringy texture, mouthfeel, and creaminess of good mozzarella, as before. The tomato sauce was quite bland, almost tasteless. Arguably, my remarks thusfar are entirely subjective, based on my personal taste. You may take away a different experience. But, what prompted this review is a different matter entirely, as objective as the money that I peeled from my wallet for the toppings that I ordered. As mentioned earlier, I ordered three toppings: mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach. This paints a mental picture of a pizza dazzling with bright red tomato slices amidst a field of earthy mushrooms and green spinach. Put that thought away. Toppings are each individually paid for; they accumulate on top individually. Three toppings does not mean one-third amounts of each topping, unless of course the customer and shopkeeper agree to split one topping price for three items. Very, very few tiny, tasteless canned mushrooms were to be found, and they were entirely inconsequential. Ca-ching $2.00. The largest of the 15 slivers of tomato measured 3/8" x 1-1/2", or about 2/3 of a slice. Most were smaller. Ca-ching $2.00. The paltry samples tasted quite good, but I paid for a whole tomato. Spinach is one of God's most economical veggies too. Ten cups of leaves to the pound. A half cup would make an earthy, tasty, lovely green statement on a large pizza, and make plenty of profit for the proprietor. We got five leaves on the entire pizza. Ca-ching $2.00. So, what we got for $23.84 ( including tax) was a rubbery, tasteless pizza, with an imagining of toppings. I once raved about a pizza that is no longer offered at Indian Mound. But wait! They offer many varieties now. In recent months, they've served up overcooked and undercooked, and if you hit it right, just half the amount of rubbery tasteless cheese. I was extremely disgusted to see the dishwasher with his mane of dark curly hair, with no head covering, loitering in the food preparation area last evening. The cashier thought nothing of it and made excuses. Yuck! Hairy extra toppings I don't wish to conceive of. This is the last review that I'll ever do regarding Indian Mound Pizza because I'll have no means to assess their product in the future.
