I was on the hunt for a gyro at 9:30 on a Friday night. I found this place and got excited because they advertised late hours. I ordered 2 gyros they didn't have an option to add fries on the website. Then I got there and the owner(?) says when you order a gyro wrap you get fries for $1.99. That explains the bread my gyro was made with. It was very thin, small and the bread was a wrap instead of a pita. I wasn't a fan. I will admit, the ambiance is nice. read more

2 stars is a compliment here. Turkish coffee was gross. The hummus was pure tahini. Tabbouleh was dry and missing lemon. The kibbeh and the pita bread were the only decent things we tasted. Our order was missing an item and after I complained, the manager ordered to give me a free meal later on (we were here on vacation so that was not an option. Also, a refund isn't fair when we waited so long) he said he would deliver the missing item within 45 mins. Granted, our Airbnb is 35 mins away, from the location. I gave him some buffer. But when I called him back, he claimed he was "doing us a courtesy by delivering the item. And he also dropped off the item to the wrong door". Normally I would be more accepting.. But don't give me attitude because your own team messed up. It's not as if it was a Saturday night. It's a Monday! Do not piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. How about you pay attention to your team and your own job. I lived in the Middle East for 24 years and this treatment is so offensive to the culture. This place is amazing and the staff is so sweet. They stayed open later than closing to allow us to sit, and when we offered to take it to go they insisted we dine in! I'll definitely be back to this restaurant! I ordered a falafel pita wrap and a Greek salad. The salad was large, fresh, and delicious - I especially loved the feta cheese and dressing. The falafel pita wrap was one of the best I've ever had. The pita was soft with the perfect texture, and the falafel was plentiful with a great consistency. Delicious food! I had the Kofta Kabob combo platter (kabobs, salad, hummus, and pita). Large portions, great price. I don't think they have a soda fountain, just cans. In case that matters to you. The food is good and they have cool decor but this place won't make it based on our experience today unless some things change. We were the only people in the restaurant at 11:45 on a Saturday morning. We had to walk up to the kitchen to get a water and tea refill (2 times). Also, there was a German shepherd who walked right thru the restaurant into the kitchen & I can't imagine that's to code... there was no excuse for the poor service given we were the only table. Went back for a 2nd time today and I'm even more impressed. I had the Shish Tawook with salad instead of fries. The fresh grilled chicken wrap was wonderfully spiced but the real star was the toum and hot sauce that came with it. I've made toum a few times and it's nothing like theirs--it's light, fluffy, garlicky but not over the top. The hot sauce was herbaceous and fresh. This place is a family style restaurant. The decor is kinda cute. However I didn't go there to be awed by the look of the place. The food was outstanding. When you go make sure to try the lemon-mint drink. You can decide how much sugar you want added to it. All foods and drinks are home made. My wife and I had a wonderful meal at the new Jaffa Restaurant Saturday evening. It is a family owned business that took over the space previously occupied by Jerusalem Chef which had been around for years. While, Jerusalem Chef had been our favorite Mediterranean restaurant, the new owners have expanded the menu and the food is just as wonderful if not better. You will not be disappointed! The portions are generous unlike some places where I find myself searching for my food on oversized plates. For an appetizer we ordered the Baba Ganoush which was out of this world. It is served with 2 pitas and we were offered more (for no additional charge). I ordered the Shish Tawook dinner plate and my wife ordered the Chicken Tender dinner plate. Discovered this place one night when I needed somewhere to eat late at night, and I uncovered a gem. Some of the best middle eastern food I've had in my life. the prices are pretty good and the portions are great. What made jaffa stand out was some of the menu items I haven't seen/had since I was in Egypt. The Salahb is amazing and something you just don't find here in the states. The customer service is also great. I've eaten here a few times, and today something tasted off different about a drink I ordered, and I didn't even ask for a replacement or mention, just asked for sugar, but the manager brought out another, let me keep the first one, and didn't charge me anything.
