My mom hired this moving company a few weeks ago and the movers were great. The movers worked really hard and they finished in less than the estimated time. I was surprised at how fast they worked since we had a heavy bedroom set, marble table, and big couches. Since they did such an amazing job, I wanted to tip them but I had no cash. I asked them to add the tip to my card and they said "no because sometimes they don't give us our tip when we put it on the card" I think it really unprofessional for the company to not give their employees their tips. That is stealing from them. This company lacks morals and apparently doesn't care about their own employees. We entered up going to the ATM and tipped the movers cash instead because they deserved it. read more

I'm extremely happy with my move & the process with Move 4 Less. The team sent to me was Kjeld, Michael & Pete & they were very professional, considerate of my things, hard working & efficient. I was pretty surprised at how well they maneuvered things & got them down & packed in the truck. They checked my TVs before & after my move, & even packaged & wrapped the ones I didn't have the box for. My furniture (which is white) was not dirty, or damaged. And neither was any my other furniture. I'm happy I got a good team because after reading some of these other reviews, I can't relate. Nope nope nope! Do not recommend. As someone who has moved countless times with the military and have had my stuff moved many times into and out of storage and moved across country, I have never seen such a disaster. First I will start with the good stuff. Erick came our and gave me an estimate and was very professional. I do question his honesty when I asked him about the workers they hire in Dallas. The foreman couldn't tell me exactly where these guys were going to come from-I.e. Day laborers or another moving company. The crew for packing were prompt and polite. They each introduced themselves to me. They seemed to be doing a good job when packing when I was watching them. There were a few times I was asked if I wanted certain items packed, I.e tablets, toiletries, kids clothes, etc. the following day, the crew arrived, all of them different than the first day with the exception of the foreman, Andres. No problem with Andres at all, answered my questions, was polite. Rest of the crew the second day didn't introduce themselves at all. But, they were nice enough. I treated them all with respect offering them both food and water both days. They do give you the industry standard of 60 cents a pound for broken stuff. Such a joke, but most moving companies operate like this so just be forewarned. So, the bad. First of all after almost everything was loaded onto the truck, Andres informs me that nothing in the garage was inventoried-say what?! It was just loaded onto the truck. Next let's move on to Walter. I called to confirm when the driver was leaving and when to expect my stuff. Well he obviously has better things to do because he was super short and just wanted me off that phone. We got to talk to Walter again, lucky us, when our items arrived damaged and he said he couldn't help us and that someone would call on Monday. I guarantee that call will not happen! Many items arrived damaged or boxes were not taped shut. Including my high end patio table which I told them was super heavy and mentioned they should probably take the legs off the first day. Apparently they thought it was a great idea to stack a ton of heavy items on top of the table which resulted in a bent leg. My fruit stand was not in a box and was bent. Why this wasn't boxed up is beyond me. So we have an inventory list and nobody is calling off the inventory. Like I said, I have moved many times and this way of cutting corners is ridiculous. Every single item should have an inventory tag!! How do I know it made it here?! Walter assured us everything was there even though he has never even seen my home or it's contents. Sorry Walter, I don't trust people like that. Move 4 Less and Amy moving companies need to make sure their employees clean up after themselves. Sorry, I am not your maid and didn't appreciate the soda bottles, tea cans, and balls of tape you left behind. They did clean up after themselves some, but I don't want to clean up anything you leave behind when you are being paid to do a job! Everything was good, representatives were sweet until you book them and they have the job. But, that seems to be the sad way this world works nowadays, not just Move 4 Less. It looks like Move 4 Less hires employees from another company to unload the truck for out of state moves. At least in our case. These movers seem to actually care about our stuff more than Move 4 Less. The driver Hector just kept saying it wasn't his fault and he didn't pack the stuff but he was there on loading day! The first day they were there they didn't pack everything and had to pack many items the second day, including the garage. My Dyson vacuum also wasn't wrapped in a moving blanket like I requested. So irritated with this company. I will update my review only if they take care of the items that were broken to my satisfaction. They need to be held responsible for their crappy loading job and can take their 60 cents a pound nonsense somewhere else. If you want a company who will threaten to put your stuff back on their truck, not take inventory, load the truck improperly and break your stuff then this is your company! read more

I had more or less settled on this company to do a small move (1 BR to 1 BR locally)--until they could not give me any guarantees that they wouldn't arrive to start the job 4-5 hours after the time we agreed. It is outrageous and unacceptable to me that a business can't even give guarantees within their own 2 hour operating window. My time--the time of your customers--is not less valuable than the time of your movers. You would not accept me arriving to my house ready to move 4 hours after the time that I scheduled the move--and I AM PAYING YOU. When you're the party receiving funds for services, you have an obligation to be at least reasonably timely. I found a moving company that quoted me a lower price AND who could guarantee a start time within an hour of the time scheduled. Showed up with mask. The moving part was great, but the cost isn't "less." Paid about $1000 for bubble wrap, labor, truck, extension. Just rent your truck and hire movers. It wasn't a good job either, they just moved everything in the garage because we were short on time. $1000 should be a good quality move. From one story house to 2 story house move. They charge by the hour, but they have 2 people moving everything. Of course, it will take long. The more people would take less time, but it is the intention of getting more money. Should have read their reviews beforehand, but they were one of the preferred vendors for the building my parents were moving out of, so I mistakenly assumed they would do a decent job. I was quoted $160/hr for 2 movers to load our u-haul with a 3 hr minimum. Sounded reasonable, so I scheduled them. As soon as the movers showed up, they requested payment for the 3 hrs up front, before getting started. My parents made the payment, and a little over 2 hrs into the move, they requested we pay for an additional hour. When I questioned why they wanted to charge more before we had even gotten to the 3 hrs, I received a surly response about drive time. I explained we weren't having them drive anywhere, they were just loading the u-haul. I called the company, and was informed we had to pay for 45 min drive time for them to drive to our property, and return. When I asked why I wasn't informed of this in advance, the response was "Sorry, they should have told you when you booked". On top of all that, the movers were slow, argumentative and careless. Twice they leaned a metal bed frame on the wall, and twice it slid down and crashed on the tile. Oh, and the icing on the cake: They stole the sunglasses my dad had sitting on the counter. They were there throughout the move, and suddenly disappeared when the movers left. We hired them to move our 4 bedroom home last October. Positives: Reasonable prices. The company did a good job communicating with us. They were on time, and actually finished the job early. For the most part, they took care to move our items with care but... Negatives: after unpacking and unwrapping our stuff, we did discover that there was some damage to a few of our items. One of the rolling wheels to my sewing table was completely broken, and the top of one table was scratched with pretty deep gouges when it was turned upside down to fit in the truck. Our daughter's bed frame was also badly scratched. We found other dings and scrapes on some of our other furniture, particularly on the corners. If budget is your biggest concern and you don't mind packing and wrapping your items extra carefully, they were a good value. If you have very valuable furniture or are super particular, you may want to go with a more careful and conscientious company. read more

My husband and I have used this company twice, and the only reason they get the extra star is because we had a great experience the first time. This past experience made it so we will never use this company or refer them ever again. We requested 3 men and were quoted $195/hr and it was estimated to take around 4 hours. The crew showed up, I took them around the house to tell them what all was being moved (despite them having a list from the quote), and they started moving things. There was one guy that seemed to know what he was doing, and the other two seemed completely lost. They moved everything with a hand truck, no team lifting was done, so it took longer because they took things apart that they didn't need to take apart. Despite knowing what had to go, we were asked is this going, is this going about a dozen times. 2 hours in, they tell my husband they are running out of room, so they can't take everything. My husband directed them to take as much as they could, and was told they wouldn't come back for a second load. They then proceeded to demand my husband move a bbq grill, basketball hoop and multiple large tvs on his own. When they arrived to the new house, they had me walk them around to tell them what was going where. Same thing, they didn't listen and had to keep asking where things were going. We had to run back to the other house to finish moving things they refused to move and while we were gone, they solicited my mother in law for a tip, refused to move a rack in the garage when asked and then left with our garage filled up with stuff that they should have relocated into the house before they were finished. The final straw was they finished the job, they invoiced us saying they finished the job at 7:45pm, but they were long gone since 6:15pm. We're beyond disgusted. I have personally referred friends to this company and never again. Save yourself the hassle, pay someone else and don't use this company. I'm attaching pictures of the mess they left behind. We did finally get a refund on the extra time and the tip that they didn't deserve, but that was not enough to use them again. read more

Had a real mixed experience with this company. I called about a week before my move, they asked if I wanted morning or afternoon, I asked for morning. In order to book this I had to put a card down as well, which is to be charged if you cancel anytime less then 24hrs with varying fees. We were told they would call the day before for our time frame. I get a call the day before the move saying they are not coming in the morning because they are booked and they will be at our apartment between 3-6pm. This was a problem for me because I had made arrangements to be available in the morning like we discussed and I had to be out of my apartment by the next morning for cleaning and inspection arrangements. By the time I was notified of this, it was too late to cancel without being charged a fee. As we are waiting in our apartment 4pm rolls around and we call for an update, the office says that a job is just being finished up, and our movers will be to us in about 30-40 minutes. Two and a half hours later at 630 they show up. Now I will say the actual movers were the only reason I'm not giving this even less stars. Paul and Oswaldo were amazing they literally were zipping up and down stars didn't take any breaks and took extremely good care of all our stuff, if I could write a separate the review for them and they would get 5 stars without blinking an eye. I have some pretty large pieces and they navigated stairs and tight corners without even a little scratch. They also had great personalities very respectful and just over great mood. Now back to the company, mid move they call our guys and tell them they need to be heading to our new house by 8 because they didn't want them working in the dark. I understand this, I wouldn't want them getting hurt either, but to load an entire home in an hour and a half when we had a 5 hour estimate? Come on. They didn't even offer anything for the inconvenience. Of course we were so crunched for time because of their 8pm deadline, we had to leave some stuff which I have to go back and get myself. Even after I called they said I would just have to pay the bill and call customer service to see "IF" they could do anything. Thanks anyway, Customer S. *** I wanted to let everyone know how this panned out. After speaking with Donnovan, I was told that Sebastian, the top supervisor, would call me. I was advised that I'd be refunded the $250.00 on the backend, that this fee was due to my street being narrow, etc. My items were supposed to be delivered the same day all these conversations were going on and there was a window of a 2-4 delivery. At 6pm I got a call telling me they'd be there by 730. I told them I wasn't home to accept the delivery and that they could come the following day. This naturally set off a whole series of conversations about being assessed a storage fee. I eventually gave up arguing and made arrangements for an am delivery. The next day, I called the dispatcher from the previous day directly who hung up on me. I somehow got the telephone number of the local mover that had been contracted out by Move4Less, who advised me again of a 2-4 delivery time. The driver called at 6pm saying he'd be there by 7. When he arrived, the movers were very professional. We were advised that three companies had been involved in my move-- Move4Less, a second company that had taken my items from Move4Less to a wharehouse in NJ (hence the "shuttle fee,") and the final delivery moving company. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of using Move4Less to move cross-country not to. I have never received my $250.00 refund across the back end. Many of my boxes were half-smashed. I recommend TDY for anyone moving cross-county from NY. Please see my review of them. read more

I understand all moves are different. Being that moving and packing is your business and expertise, for a same day moving and packing job- 3 men at minimum would be more understandable. Also, move 4 less was aware and informed that the same day moving and packing job for a 2 bedroom and bath apartment, and they would be filling a pod and uhaul ( so the little to no information explanation is not true). I updated my review because management did have an idea of what they would be moving and also when their 2 men crew arrived, I called their office spoke to Krystal before they even started to inquire about bringing more men. The crew assured me they could do the work and advised me dispatch seemed to be annoyed with adding another man, because they would have to be moved from another job. read more

Do not use this company!! You'll be glad you chose someone else! Literally 3 movers had zero clue on how to treat your furniture and they definitely do not know how to put it back together! Besides scuffed walls, a couple small holes in walls, broken shutter, they take beds apart and lose the hardware, took the peloton bike apart and lost that hardware...they told us to "go to Home Depot". This was just our experience, and then they moved our fridge to our new home. They didn't turn the water off all the way, so there was a slow drip and the people who bought our house are now having to tear out their entire kitchen to clean up the water damage that was left for 6 days before they moved in. They dragged our brand new sectional across the truck with their dirty shoes and no moving blankets, didn't assemble a king size metal bed frame correctly and left the middle portion at the old house. Also, we got a quote where someone physically walked around noting all of the items and it was over $600 off, when we even moved some of the items after the quote, so their estimates are way off. I talked to and got estimates from five different moving companies ultimately deciding to go with Move4Less. They were not the least expensive but my decision was based partially on the premise that since they are one of the larger moving companies their reputation and integrity would make the process smooth. I want to be clear in saying the 3 movers worked very hard on a hot day. After reading many different reviews, one of my biggest concerns was the final cost being substantially different from the original estimate. There is a foreman or driver that reviews the details of the move which takes about 15 minutes. They only have one size truck so if everything doesn't fit in one trip they will need to make multiple trips which will take extra time on your watch. This was definitely not explained to me when I made the reservation or at the initial arrival and review process. I also specifically asked Megan, the booking agent, if there may be any additional surprise charges that would increase the cost in comparison to the estimate. I certainly thought everything would fit in one trip. My 3 bedroom house was essentially less than 2 bedrooms worth of items. One bedroom was completely empty and I moved an abundance of items in the days before the actual move. I also made sure, other than large items, most everything was in boxes. Unfortunately the loading of the truck didn't work out so that everything fit in one trip. As a result, a couple of items were left behind for a required second trip. This added approximately 30 minutes to my time. I felt this should have and could have been avoided with a more strategically organized loading process. At your destination and when the truck is nearly empty the driver will collect payment. He will estimate the amount of time it will take to finish. Since it's an estimate it's possible you'll pay for time that wasn't needed. This is what happened to me. They finished 15 minutes before the estimated completion time. Since payment was already collected, I was told if I wanted to receive a refund I'd need to call the office. The driver assured me that since the trucks have GPS it won't be a problem because the office will know exactly when they left the property. If you have a question about being refunded be sure to take a picture of the truck leaving - time and date stamped. Something I found strange, 10 minutes after the truck drove away it was just sitting at the end of the street. I won't speculate why they were sitting there but it probably didn't help when calling the next day to receive the refund for the extra 15 minutes. It definitely wasn't as easy & straightforward as expected. I was told the move time was paid for and collected correctly. I responded that the driver assured me that getting the refund wouldn't be a problem, to no avail. Fortunately, I had taken a picture of the truck sitting idly down the road. I had to email it and ultimately await their decision. The next day I got a reply saying I would be refunded $34.75 which is 1/4 hour. My feeling was that I was due at least another 1/4 hour refund due to the additional trip that was required. I don't think the additional trip would have been necessary had the truck been packed more efficiently. I was also completely unaware there was a possibility that everything would not fit in one trip. This was never mentioned or discussed on either of my two phone calls - one for the estimate and one to book the move. The move turned out to be one hour more than the estimate (actually 45 minutes after I got the 15 minutes refunded). In summary, I would not feel comfortable recommending Move4Less. If you do book with them, be sure to accurately document starting and ending times with time stamped pictures. Also, be sure to inquire about additional charges that may occur. read more

Two part review. They moved us out of our old house and into storage. I'm not sure as I didn't inspect anything but that crew did a decent job. We did "rent" blankets from them and they told us we would get back 2/3 of the cost. I believe it was $15.00 a blanket, guy said we would get back $10 a blanket after they moved us into the new house. We moved into the new house two months ago. Table has a hole in it, dresser is has half a leg on it now, and our bookshelf has the whole side damaged. We didn't pay for insurance because it was $1000 deductible and this damaged isn't worth that. Just frustrating and these were of course sentimental items. Oh well. They put a hole in two walls as well. They came and "repaired" the holes after many phone calls. And the repair was simply throwing up the mud on the holes...no sanding, no texture, and no paint. I'll give them credit we didn't know where our paint was so fine. But it's just a glob on the wall now. Also we have called at least 6 times for the reimbursement of their blankets. Still don't have a refund. And it went from $10 reimbursed to 7.5. Which for 43 blankets is a $100 difference. Regardless it would be nice to have an actual reimbursement two months later! Tired of having to call these people to get the money they owe us back. Update...three days after posting this review looks like they're finally reimbursing us (the lesser value but at least it's something). Excellent crew - Hugo Aparicio, Juan Torres, and Anthony Gonzales were extremely professional and friendly. My parents and I were sharing a year rental and were moving to separate places. The crew was able to figure out the chaos that was our apartment and separate my belongings (which were going into the garage until being loaded to a trailer) from my parents which were being moved locally. We lived on the 2nd floor and had some very heavy pieces. The crew took their time and really planned the best way to move furniture so as to not damage it. They were very easy going and careful. They struggled with disassembling my computer desk. I had a previously good experience with move for less in 2019. Covid 19 has impacted us all here in Southern Nevada. Despite that I was excited to use them to move again this year until their worker decided it would be a good idea to ask to use my bathroom. Since men don't have to sit down i agreed to let him. This nasty man left feces on my toilet seat and rather than clean up after himself, leaves it there. I called and he goes well i did ask if there was a public bathroom do you want me to come clean it. Are you serious? It's covid 19 and I'm spending part of my moving day cleaning your shit off my toilet? DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT USE MOVE 4 LESS!!! What a horrible company with nasty sales and customer service!! I reserved the movers on September 5, 2019 for today, November 1st at 1pm. That was almost TWO MONTHS AGO. They took my credit card number to hold the date and time, and sent me many emails stating the price, date and time. They told me that the movers would be here between 2-5pm TODAY. I confirmed with CHRIS ANTONNEAU ONE MONTH AGO, then again A WEEK AGO, then again yesterday with DONOVAN VANDEVER over email, and he confirmed that the movers will be here today. I have it in writing in email. Well at 3pm today, I get a phone call from WALTER, that said they were way behind schedule and cant get over to move me for another 3 days! And that was it. He was sorry but nothing he could do. WHAT????? I've been sitting here waiting for them to show up, and instead I get a phone call saying that you can't move me. I'm a disabled female and cannot move or lift anything heavy, that is why I hired them.... if I had known they were going to stand me up I would have called another company. When we hooked up our TVs the next day, our $2000 4K tv is cracked in the middle- a mark you can't see until the TV is turned on. Literally we moved 5 miles from one house to another.
