Also, I was very happy to support a Veteran owned business. I needed items moved from storage into a house on short notice. I also needed a mover that had a truck, which can be hard to come by with little lead time. I contacted several companies, but none were as quick and as courteous as Donnie at All Veteran Transit. We had a major move between two homes, moving out from a two story to a single story and items into a storage locker that I needed a bid on. Donnie was responsive to my request and his estimate was clearly spelled out to make sure I knew what I was getting. I received the military discount as a result of my father having served in the US Navy and in WW2. He passed away recently and we were moving in to be with my mother, so this move carried some emotional elements for me. They arrived on moving day (four gentleman), ready to work. We did a walkthrough that highlighted what was going to the new home and what was going to storage. We discussed the valuable items and they quickly set to work protecting and coordinating. They made it seem effortless, though having moved a lot I knew otherwise. Did I mention that it was 100 degrees, a two story, with VERY HEAVY furniture and miserable??? They did not miss a bit. It was amazing how easy it seemed for them, I guess having served has given them the tools they needed for this level of work. I found them to be honest, caring, involved, HARD WORKERS, KIND, great listeners, and effective communicators, they communicated and assisted each other like an organized military squad must be!!! The bid was very reasonable, all items arrived in perfect condition even though we were going to a home and a storage facility, on two different days they did not miss a beat. I am the Store Manager of a Multi Million dollar Luxury Mattress store in Las Vegas so obviously we are not allowed to use un-reputable companies as our reputation is also on the line. The moment I called Donnie, I had a great feeling. He answered the phone right away, and I could hear he and his team were actually on moving a job. I could tell he knew that phone calls = business, and happy customers! Meanwhile at my store we had some customers that needed immediate pick up of old mattresses during the COVID crisis as our company stopped all pick up services. I was quite in a panic as I wasn't sure the moving date for the guests as our stores warehouse was also involved in making a delivery of the new mattress. Wanted to leave a review sooner but we've been busy unpacking. Donnie and crew did such a great job moving our household locally. The crew did such a good job meticulously wrapping our furniture, which probably took most of the day with the amount of glass and fragile objects we had (3200 sq ft home). As most of the day was spent packing, we ended up using them for two days to help offload and set up furniture and appliances at the new place. We didn't expect the move to last longer than a day, but we underestimated the work that had to be done. As with many moves: 1. Keep a realistic expectation of what you're moving. We knew towards the end of the day 1 that it didn't make sense to keep the crew up all night, and opted to add another day. Try to pack and move small items and valuables separately. We would've spent more than two Days if we didn't do that 2. Plan a good budget for your move. Donnie does take care of veterans with prices that were better than other local companies. I normally don't leave long reviews, but wanted to thank this company for moving my family's furniture in one piece! Moving is always a chore. Any little thing, that can make it easier, is always appreciated. Same day service? That never happens... except when it does! After several hours, calling multiple movers, no one could offer anything better than 40 days, from today, to move my daughter to her first apartment. That is, until I called All Veteran Transit. Not only were their rates better than anyone else's, by far, but the voice on the phone said, "We can fit you in tomorrow or Friday, but if you'd like, we're just finishing up a job now and could move you tonight. We can be there in an hour." This just never happens! Not only were they on time, as promised, but the speed and efficiency, with which they worked, was amazing! They did an amazing job, overall, but they were so accommodating in special request as well! On top of everything, they had such positive attitudes and energy that the time flew by. They completed a job, that by all rights should have taken four to five hours, in less than two! Well done, gentlemen, wel done! Lastly it must be pointed out that all the employees are veterans. I can think of no better organization to patronize than one made up completely of people who have already honorably served their country. I was worried about a couch I have that is huge and about $10k. Was here without a spec of dirt on it. The guys were polite and prompt. We inherited a baby grand player piano and picked it up from a storage unit in Calif. once we Realized how heavy it was and had to get others at the storage unit to help. We had to get the rental trailer back and knew that we couldn't lift it alone to get it into the house. Came across Donnie's company while looking through yelp. I was able to schedule a date easily and always got quick replies. On the day of, they showed up promptly and got things packed up quickly.
