Everyone was very careful with our things, respectful of home and extremely polite. Those guys worked their tails off. Overall it was a good experience. I really appreciated the follow up we received from Bill in their main office - calling us to confirm and offering extras like wardrobe boxes. To me, good communication is the most important factor in eliminating stressful situations. I should mention that Sheeler's pricing beat the other two quotes we got by more than 30%. We selected Movegreen for our office move after getting quotes from other moving companies. We selected them as they had the best pricing and agreed to work with us for a second move in six months. Rod Castillo who came to quote the move for us was very professional , efficient and responsive in getting back to me on the numerous questions I had. What made the move the best was the moving crew - they really are the back bone of the company. Any move is stressful and every crew member was great - Charlie, Sebastian, Aron, Felipe and Zecharia. This review is for Sheelers before they were bought by Movegreen. The movers showed up an hour and a half late a damaged every single thing they touched. (Good thing I moved my own boxes!) Even though I had requested insurance on signed contracts, the office said they had not charged me for insurance so if I wanted to pay for insurance I could make a claim. Very shady. read more

I can't get a response from them. The fellow came out to look at what I needed moved (interstate), and said he'd get a quote back to me in a day or two. After around a week or ten days, I emailed the company and asked for the quote. No response. I called, and they switched me to his message service. I left a friendly message asking him to let me know if they just don't want to go interstate, and if not could I hire them to pack my grandfather clock and antique record player. Another week or ten days and no response. I don't know if they're just flaky or don't want to go interstate. They really should be professional enough to at least reply to me. read more

My husband and I moved locally this last weekend and we asked a good friend last month who she has used for her moves and she highly recommended Sheeler Moving company after using them twice. After I called Sheeler, they sent their employee, Jeff, out to give us an estimate and the pricing was very reasonable and he guaranteed that they would take very good care of our belongings so I hired them. His employees, Kenny and Jose, were right on time on Saturday morning and I've never seen two men work so hard! They had to move our furniture and belongings from a 3-story location to a 2-story location so they had their work cut out for them. But they didn't even stop to take a break - they just kept moving to get the job done! And they were very polite, nice men and went overboard in wanting to make sure they put our belongings in the correct room and location when they brought it to the new house. Bought all of my own moving supplies (boxes, tape, paper, etc) Made it simple for them as can be. Slime balls charged me that night more than my NOT TO EXCEED! AMAZING service! I have never used a moving company before. I typically used friends but after you move three times in eight months your friends become scarce. I was so impressed with to Debbie Thomas for her personal touch that I decided to try Sheeler Moving. WOW, what a difference! I had packed but I had some extremely valuable original paintings that I had not wrapped properly. The two men that came where professional, kind, courteous, and hard working. The carefully wrapped my valuable paintings, re-wrapped my mirror that was not done well, and even boxed my clothes so they did not get dirty! These guys were wonderful and nothing was too much. When we got to my new place they moved everything in and even helped me move things around so I could start getting my home in place. I have finished unpacking the last box and I am so grateful for Sheeler Moving for their fast, professional, and courteous service. It did not cost me an arm, a leg, or any body part. So incredible. Horrible experience with sheeler moving. Not only did they show up 3.5 hours later than promised but their employees were really inappropriately rude. Highly unprofessional with incredibly offensive comments in regards to their late arrival and that they could just "leave right the f*** then if we had a problem". Hi. Nice to meet you too. To top it off they broke several pieces of our furniture. They literally dropped our $$$ bookshelves breaking the crown molding and then dropped our fridge on the stairs dinging the hell out of the doors. After being assured by management that we could submit a claim form and that the employee was 'cranky sometimes' we hoped to at least recoop some repair costs. No such luck. We should have taken their employees advice and hired 'some guys from the corner'. This company does not care about moving your home in a respectful responsible way. Moving is hard enough without this kind of treatment. I would give negative stars if I could read more

After using Sheeler Moving and Storage for clients moving from one home to another, or even out of town, I thought I should try them out myself. We wanted our whole upstairs furniture moved into the garage for painting, carpeting, etc. My clients all seemed happy so why wouldn't I be happy. AND I FOUND OUT THEY ARE TRULY THE BEST! I had already received two quotes for a move from Ventura, CA to INdio, CA( 2 bedroom apt to a house), quote #1- 1575.00, quote#2- 1650.00. quote from MOVEGREEN movers- 2770.00. Talk about trying to take advantage of people. How could their be such a deviation of more than 1000.00?? Doesn't make any sense to me. All I can say is that they are scam artists looking to greatly overcharge unsuspecting people. Awful. Be sure to get a couple of quotes to do a comparison. read more

I had the best moving experience I have ever had with Movegreen. After I arranged the move by phone, Nick came to my home to survey what needed to be moved and determine the size of the truck needed and the number of movers. On the morning of the scheduled move, JT and Benjamin pulled up and proceeded to carefully wrap lots of glass art pieces. They moved a gigantic rocking chair and a piano out the front door with ease along with other large pieces of furniture and tons of boxes, most of which contained heavy books. They finished ahead of the time estimate and followed me to our storage unit. They unloaded everything and arranged all of our belongings inside the unit leaving a pathway from front to back which makes things much easier to locate. They were polite, personable, efficient, and very hard working. I felt the cost estimate was very fair and less than I expected. I am very satisfied with the entire process and will use them again when I move from storage into a new home. read more

We are in the process of a move from California to Florida. Ten years ago another moving company did more than $10,000 worth of damage to our furniture and clothes. I didn't think that any company could be worse. Sheeler proved me wrong. To date: the sales person indicated that she overestimated the weight. She didn't. She underestimated it by more than 1,000 lbs even though we did not ship some of the items on the inventory. The value of the property was supposed to be $75,000. The driver tried to have me sign that it was $67,000. We requested $500 deductible insurance. They tried to charge us an additinal $200 for $0 deductible insurance. We were told we had a 3 day delivery window that we had to be present for. The driver was told he had a ten day delivery window. We were told that the driver would call us "when he got on the road" to narrow the delivery date. 8 days later, after several calls to the sales person, the driver called and told us that he would deliver 3 days later than the 3 day window we were given by the "dispatcher". The driver also indicated that if we had a problem with the delivery date, we should talk with someone else, and hung up. Today, after speaking with the driver I called the sales rep. and indicated that I needed to speak with either her or the "dispatcher" immediately. Ten hours later no one has returned my call. In short: if you want to overpay for everything you are told to be false, this is the company for you. read more

Bait and Switch contracts! Poor customer service! My sibling contacted Sheeler to move my elderly parents from Ventura to my home in another state. Their estimate was reasonable and my sibling felt that Sheeler was reputable because of their support of community projects. My sibling signed a contract with a delivery date twelve days after the pick-up. The day that Sheeler's employees came to pack, a new contract was given to my elderly father and he was told he had to sign it. The new contract pushed the delivery date back five more days! I discovered this only when Wheaton failed to deliver by the original date. Furthermore no one at Wheaton or Sheeler would discuss this with me because my name was not on the contract. Nor would they talk to my dad even though he signed the contract with my brother's name. The new date came and no furniture. On that date, a woman from Sheeler calls me and asks for my credit card for payment. Payment is now almost $400 more because of 'additional labor'. Oddly enough even though my name is not on the contract, I can pay the bill. When I complain about the bait and switch contracts, the late delivery, and the additional fee, the woman tells me that Mel, the owner, says that Sheeler will refund their fees but Wheaton required the money now. After I paid and the credit card went through, I was told that they could only discuss the possible refund with my sibling. Wheaton does have a policy of refunding $150 a day for late delivery but only if one submits a hotel bill. My parents stayed with me so they are not eligible for a refund. Almost a month later, Sheeler has not contacted me nor refunded any part of the moving costs. This company is not honest. They took advantage of an elderly couple by bringing a new contact and then failed to keep the terms of that contract. read more
