She provided a ton of USEFUL information ahead of time. How to block the street in front of my house. Are you kidding? Score! Pricing includes blankets, shrink wrap, wardrobe boxes, etc. at no extra cost. Then came moving day. (Insert "high anxiety" here!) The two men and a truck called me with notice they were twenty minutes away (how professional!), and they were exactly prompt. They did a walk through of my apartment, went over the pricing and contract, and started loading. And they never slowed down. These two guys were so delightful. They made this stressful experience such a pleasure, I can't even believe it's possible. Jesse and Emi are incredible. Honest. Sweet. Strong. They are absolute treasures and assets to this wonderful company. They carefully wrapped every piece of furniture that I had with blankets and then shrink wrap. Poor communication and customer service. I requested a move date, and they asked for my email address to send information. I never received it. Then they said they would send the email later that day, then they said tomorrow, then the next day. I told them that I wanted to lock in the date, so I know the move is all set and I don't have to book another company. They said they had me down for the requested date. A day later, still no response from Lindeman's, so I called, and they tell me someone else booked the date. We almost got stuck with no movers on our move date due to the Lindeman's poor communication and customer service. What a sham! Quoted 8 hrs for $195 cash rate. I expected an 8 hour day with 5 movers. No pianos or safes or jacuzzis. When they arrived, the charged me an addition $1200 for 6 items they considered heavy. Really? 2 dressers, 2 tables. A buffet and a potted plant. Outrageous. They also sent 2 inexperienced movers who didn't know how to wrap furniture appropriately. Nickel and aimed me for shrink wrap, bubble wrap and blankets. It became a 12 hr day, plus time and a half. My move cost $8000. A 4 bed home going to a storage unit!! Never again will I use these guys. No one charges extra for these furniture pieces. This was by far the easiest moving service I've ever dealt with in my life. We called on the weekend and they were able to move us within a couple days. Quoted $1k but paid $4k. I still have to knock down a star because I'm still upset that I don't have my custom made armored plates. AVOID THIS SCAM OF A MOVING COMPANY AT ALLLLL COST!!!!!! ON MY MOVING DAY THEY TRIPLED THE PRICE!!!! There are no words to describe how unhappy I am with this company. I was quoted $165/hr for 3 movers to move me locally (less than 5 miles) I told Julie that I had a piano and a grandfather clock, plus two rooms of furniture.... was quoted 6 hours. I also told her that I need to have my kitchen packed and they talked me into another mover...now 4 movers at $220 hr for the same period of time so a total of $1760 for the move plus mileage. I told her my budget was $1500 and they said all was fine and I signed a confirmation. Fast forward to today my moving day and the day I had to be out of our home. When the foreman came in he said "wow this is a lot less than we thought" and I commented I had sold almost all the furniture. He then proceeded to quote me $4500 ( this he said was a lowball - it would most likely be more.) He said 10 hrs. and overtime after 8 hours!!! AND I had to pay for plastic, blankets, boxes, tape, etc!!!! Who does this???? I spoke to Michael and offered $2500 since they were there and I had to be out EOD....He said he could not help me and I needed to find another mover. I was in tears but I found a company to do the whole move last minute for a flat $1700 fee -including labor, packing and fuel charge. We selected this company off of a yelp review and we were quite surprised at a reasonable prices and excellent service. We were trying to move an 83 old lady from a three bedroom house and that required five guys and two trucks. When the crew arrived they realized that we needed a few more guys and provided them within a couple of hours to help us pack a lot of the stuff that we all assumed was already packed. This move took longer than expected and there were no complaints from any of the guys and they went out of their way to help our 83-year-old client as she wanted to stay in her new house for the first night... Even though most of her belongings were in the truck and we're going to be unloaded the next day. Since she couldn't find her sheets or blankets, our movers offered her a few new moving blankets so that she can get a good nights sleep for the large amount of stuff we had to unload the next morning. The crews were excellent, well mannered, and took care of everything without any damage whatsoever. There are flexibility in going to both a residence and a storage facility was greatly appreciated. Although we spent more than we had budgeted we highly recommend these movers and will use them again should we have a move here in Ventura county. I don't write many glowing reviews but when a company goes out of their way to help, I make sure people know about it and Lindemann movers is one of those companies! I was told that 2 movers and a truck would be enough to move my 3 bedroom condo in 3 hours. The "contract" I was provided was lined with misleading information that on moving day turned into additional charges and unfinished work. My son and I had to do half the moving ourselves because the crew worked slow. When told to finish in 30 minutes and drive to the new location the crew couldn't do it. That was 2.5 hours into the move out. My son and I moved at twice their speed, filled two additional vehicles and unloaded nearly 80% of the truck ourselves. This company is a sham. They under quote and over deliver. When I called to confirm days before my move I was told by Anna that there was no additional charge to get the piano for a 2nd location. Then once the truck was there the driver told us $150 to move this because it's "heavy". It's a piano. Of course it is heavy. Another misleading action by this company. When I called and spoke to Anna she assured me that the manager would call me to work it out. He never did. He spoke to the driver and then he handed me the phone. Mike was never going to call me. All he did on the phone was tell me about the fine print of his contract and how hard his crew worked and all the expenses they incurred on my behalf. He kept telling me how important it was for me to understand that they never gave me a quote. That their estimated time didn't matter. Absurd. Two guys showed up in a Uhaul truck and took as much time as they could. Then this company nickel and dimed me for tape and shrink wrap. Terrible experience. Terrible work. While the actual movers were of average quality, I can't recommend this company. Be very careful to wrap and secure all of the items you wish to have moved, and this includes your furniture. Lindeman's will charge you for all of this if you let them, and it gets expensive very quickly. For example, each roll of shrink wrap used to wrap your furniture is about $45. Expect 6 rolls for a simple 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home. 10-to-15 rolls of tape at $5 each. This is above and beyond what you'll pay for the movers, they will charge "double time" for driving between location, but it's closer to quadruple if the crew decides to grab snacks or drinks on the way. So a 15 minute drive becomes an hour billed. All together, just under $1500 for a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath move within the same city. Again, the crew did a normal job, but you will get better value elsewhere. read more

We've used them going on our 4th move. Very professional, fair rates. We moved a 3 and 4 bedroom home with all appliances, and are a family of 4 (yes tons of junk). We've always taken the option of 3 movers (works out to similar costs and cuts your move time down a lot!) Brandi is awesome. Shes been there as long as we've worked with them. She is very professional, efficient, friendly. We set it up as follows: -every little thing was in a box. And stacked ready to be moved. That way the movers just start loading -furniture (they will wrap and protect then move -sleep number bed (they are pros and tearing down and reassemble at the new location) -heavy and weird items (large furniture, etc) they need to be aware what you have to plan accordingly. If you want they will help pack up items also if you dont have everything done come the day of the move. Its just more time on the clock. The movers have been solid, respectful, friendly workers. They do take time off the clock to eat lunch (for a full day move). No biggy. We've tipped them each afterwards also. All in all we've really liked how they do business! Great job guys! read more

Hubby (Mike W) and I used Lindeman's over the weekend to move a bunch of stuff into our storage unit (so we can stage our house). We'd used them 9-10 years ago with great success (I remember Kong?? was awesome.) so we thought to use them again. We didn't think we'd use up to their minimum of 3 hours but their rates were reasonable enough that it was worth the convenience of professional help. Jesse and Javier were awesome (friendly and helpful), working faster than we could have ever imagined. Hubby and I admittedly got lazy about packing the rest of our shiz up the night before so we were really scrambling that morning. Unfortunately for us lazy bastards, J&J were perfectly on time and hit the ground running. After a quick run through, they immediately got to work. Furniture and boxes flew out of our house in no time and we were packing as quickly as we could to give them things to move. (I think I filled my Fitbit step counter that morning!) The guys were also intuitive...hubby and I would discuss moving something and either Jesse or Javier would be on hand to ask what we decided. Eventually only hubby took them down to the storage unit while I took a break but when he came back, the nerd in him was awed by the way they made everything fit in our unit....much like playing a game of Tetris, even rearranging what we already had in there before they came along. During the move, we asked them to shrink wrapped a few things for us (mattresses) and we thought "Oh here we go...upcharges...". I was a little afraid to see our final bill but I was stoked to see they were reasonably priced. Sweet! Once we get our place sold and are ready to move into another home, we will be sure to give Lindeman's another shout. read more

Moving sucks, packing is horrible, for the record, I'm never doing it again. For my last move, I was utterly unprepared. The movers from Lindeman's showed up right on time, the lead man Jesse, was great. Came in, did a quick evaluation of the house and realized he was gonna need more help. He asked if it would be ok if he added a couple more guys to the crew given how much work the move was going to be. With the exception of one guy on the crew whose name I wont mention, everyone worked fast and hard and with no complaints. The one guy on the crew complained incessantly and I swear spent more time complaining about the stuff I hadn't pre-packed than he did actually packing or moving things. This one guy was really antagonistic and made what was already a stressful day for me even more stressful. At the end of the day, Jesse apologized for the one guys bad attitude, and he and the rest of the crew worked hard on what felt like the hottest day of the year. They took good care of my stuff and got everything moved and put where it needed to be put relatively fast all things considered. I was serious when I said I'm never moving again, but if I do, I'd use these guys again and I'd have no problem recommending this company and crew, with the caveat that maybe you should be a little more prepared for your move than I was. read more

We recently moved using Lindemann's Moving Co. They were extremely efficient and treated our furnishings with care. They even went above and beyond what was expected when they repaired a little gouge in a wall of our new residence. I would heartily recommend them! Upon further review we have found that the most important box never made it to the new house. It was in the old house but never arrived to the new house. Could it have gotten stolen from the alley by a third party while the mover was in the truck arranging the other boxes? Perhaps. Just a word of caution to those moving: if you live near a public area such as a park, make sure your boxes are watched by someone all the time before they go into the truck. read more

Should I need moving services in the future, I would be comfortable using Lindeman's. *** I had used Lindeman's three times over a period of several years prior to this experience. Each time was truly exceptional. Very organized from the get-go, and my items were handled with the utmost care. I noticed right away that something was different this time - from the poor communication to the general attitude of the movers. As it turns out, Lindeman's was purchased and is run by different people now. And it's an obvious difference. My biggest complaint is that a few of my items were damaged through poor handling and, when I pointed it out, it was just full denial from the crew. Very disappointing, especially for the cost. Having had some not great moving experiences before in California, i was much more careful this time in choosing a professional mover provider. i corresponded with several and read their reviews. that's worth doing. some firms clearly had recurring issues with rudeness, lateness, breakages and not sending a big enough truck. also a couple of other providers had clearly sponsored others to give them fake reviews, in order to boost their ratings and sales. you can 'smell' those fake ratings (as on Amazon). that's a scurrilous and deceptive business practice. Lindeman's seemed down to earth, prompt in responding and what they quoted me and what we discussed together was how it was on the day. more than anything, Santiago and his team worked their hearts out, especially on the move-in where there was more steps than they expected. the effort and good attitude they put in was really impressive, and my wife and i were grateful to them for a terrific job. Being the person moving home, it is stressful and a bit overwhelming, but i have learnt that buying the movers team a good pizza or Panda lunch or similar, and tipping really well, is both good for morale, good reciprocation for the heavy lifting work, and also, really deserved and earnt. these guys work like Trojans with preoccupied clients (us), and every laborer is worth their hire. do consider giving them a generous tip for the effort they put in. they did an incredible job for us and i have saved Lindeman's details, as i will use them again - not something i can say for the previous 3 movers i have experienced in California. i'd say you can have trust in this firm. thanks, Santiago and Team. read more

Lindeman's made an otherwise hectic move very easy. I sent some leads to several moving companies on Yelp. Lindemann's was the only company that broke down the pricing in full transparency, gave tips on calling the city to secure public parking spaces for the moving truck, and was very responsive. I booked the move entirely on email and Brandi was friendly and responsive. On the day of the move, I was really impressed by the movers, Tyrone and Jesse. They arrived at 9am on the dot in company shirts and a huge truck. They were really friendly, had a great attitude throughout the day and definitely had an efficient system down. The boxes and furniture are all wrapped in blankets and Saran Wrap, so dings on your boxes are not possible. They took care of not touching walls while in the units and even helped move a piece of furniture from the living room to garage. And to top it off, the price was reasonable for the level of care applied to my belongings.
