However, we were their second move of the day. They showed up at noon at our house COMPLETELY exhausted. I had saved a dozen pieces of heavy furniture. Literally nothing else in the house left. These pieces were solid dark wood, very new and in about perfect condition. 4-5 pieces came to the new house with very deep scratches. One I saw immediately, and Travis, the mover in charge, admitted to scratching it and took $40.00 off. This particular piece is a $1200.00 bookcase. I wasn't quite sure how much investigating to do so I looked over the rest of the furniture later that day. Several deep scratches. It was totally devastating, as this was the ENTIRE reason I hired a crew to help us. The owner of the business, Arthur, is completely unresponsive about this, suggesting that me calling after the moving weekend was a questionable move. Was I supposed to see every scratch as his crew was waiting drenched in sweat? I couldn't possibly have caught all of it! Anyways, he told me Travis would call me back, come over and resolve the issue. This has not happened. It's been a week. My experience with EZ moving is that they overwork their staff. They are not honest. And they have terrible customer service. I rarely review but will do it to save others who are considering this company.

Our moving team Joshua and Cody worked so efficiently to load us up and make certain everything was packed safely and securely, and then drove it all to Portland and carefully unloaded it at our new house. A third member, Josh, worked in Salt Lake to pack our art collection perfectly- and everything arrived at the destination with no damage at all. There were a lot of elements to our move that needed extra coordinating, and Joshua and Cody not only managed it all extremely well, but they were so pleasant and kind throughout that it really helped us through what would otherwise have been a much more stressful process. They did a walkthrough at the end to make certain nothing was left undone, and even helped with a few extras that insured unpacking would go much more smoothly for us. There was a bit of a snafu with their arrival time but when they arrived, they got immediately to work. They loaded and boxed and wrapped furniture, along with packing the big things I couldn't. They were loaded by lunch time, took a lunch break and arrived at my new location ready to go. The second location had steps and they all took turns getting things upstairs. They placed a big cabinet inside the very large closet of one bedroom, which was a great idea and took up less floor space in the bedroom. They were done about 4 hours later. Through the whole process, everyone was cheerful, hard working and thorough. If I ever have to move again, and I pray that I won't, I would choose them again in a heartbeat.

They carefully wrapped all of my furniture in moving blankets and packed my stuff into the boxes so that the next movers, who will be moving me into my new apartment in a new city, won't have any issues. Before the moving day, I agreed to the initial job of three hours at their regular hourly rate. We packed up our entire apartment and moved all non-essential items to our new apartment in Orem before the movers arrived so that they would only have to move the large objects when they came. However, the three employees they sent were unprofessional. They seemed to take their time removing our bed and couch more than necessary. After several brief discussions with the "supervisor" in the group, I couldn't resolve the situation. After packing at our old apartment for nearly three hours, they asked us to meet them at our new place. We drove from Draper to Orem only to find ourselves waiting for over an hour while they were on the way. There was no contact from them during this one-hour-plus wait, even though I was being charged an hourly rate, even over the initial three hours. When they arrived at our new apartment, they tried to bring our couch up a small stairwell instead of using the correct freight elevator entrance. It was too big to exit the stairwell on our floor, so they left it at the top. Our couch was blocking the exit via the stairwell, and they refused to move it back downstairs and try a larger stairwell on the other side of the building. In addition, they damaged the stairwell door, knocked out a ceiling tile, and nearly destroyed an exit sign hanging from the ceiling. After going back and forth over what to do with the couch, I finally told them to move all the rest of our stuff into the new apartment, and my partner and I would figure out how to get the couch out of the stairwell ourselves. Remember, we're now on hour five of a three-hour job, and the rate is over $250/hr. Then, they took a "break" at their truck following the couch incident. Thirty to forty-five minutes later, they began to bring our other furniture up. As they dropped each item off, we noticed that our bed, a very nice wooden platform bed that was extremely expensive, was damaged. We asked them about it, and they said, "Sorry." The company had promised to unpack and assemble our furniture in the new apartment as part of their service. However, once they got everything into the new apartment, we were already over seven hours into a three-hour job. What was supposed to be a sub-$1,000 move turned into a nearly $1,800 move. Moving is expensive, and we don't have a lot of extra cash lying around. When I politely asked the "supervisor" to call his manager and see if we could get a discount on our services because of all the issues, the employee called his manager while I was present, but the person he spoke to wouldn't budge. The employee was not completely honest with his manager about all that happened during the move, so I pressed him again to call back and tell him we were upset over these things. Still, nothing. He offered me $200 off, but that was laughable. After all this, we had an eight-hour move that was supposed to take three hours, our stuff was damaged, nothing was put back together, we still had to deal with the couch, and the manager was unwilling to help. DO NOT use this moving company... the manager told me that her workers are "teenagers just trying to make a little money," and that she "stands by them all day." That's not the professional, premium experience they lead to you to believe they provide.

I am PCSing (moving with the military) to GA and chose uhaul + movers to get the majority of the work done. I am SO happy I went with Elements. Amber, the owner, was responsive and friendly from the very beginning. Not only that, but when I asked for her to meet me at a gas station so I could get the Ubox weighed before and after it was loaded she agreed without question. Her and her crew were fast, efficient, and extremely friendly.
