Also have heard from former staff how the owner treats employees that arent white differently. Very unfortunate spoil to the old era of climbing here.

It smells like feet moreso than other gyms I've been to. The place is compact for the amount of climbs it has. Climbs: Nice variety of climbs that are fun and challenging. I like the natural wall in the back. Holds could be cleaner (i.e. some holds are so dirty you might mistake it for another color, feels extra greasy). The climbing tape markings are not well maintained (i.e. missing start tape so you're not sure what's considered the intended start).

I think this gym is highly underrated. It is mostly a bouldering gym and features a more compy style as well as tough out door feely boulders. The gym features crack climbing as well. The lead wall was temporarily shut down, but was used as another bouldering/crack climbing wall. The setting is 9/10 easily. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone who is interested or new to climbing. The staff was friendly, helpful, and interacted with us! Overall I'd say the gym was 9.5/10. Each month, they do provide discounts on certain programmes for anyone who is interested in climbing. I like to climb with Hubs on the weekends, especially on a Saturday morning when there are a few climbers. But my favorite time to climb is during the weekday mornings or afternoons when this place can just be called "my own sanctuary". During the weekdays especially from 5 pm onwards this place can be jam-packed with climbers alike. Each month and every other month, they do change the routes for climbers to progress in their climbing with different range of climbing difficulties. There is also a place for you to do bouldering as well if you dont have a climbing partner to belay. Even my cousin from Singapore who came for a visit sometime around July/August 2009 was awed about this place. If you want, do give them a try to climb. BRC deserves more than the 3.5 average it has right now…read more I can't comment on hearsay about managers or "uninspired" climbs (I am not a route-setter nor do I claim to be one) but BRC is pretty solid. The gym area is really nice, far surpassing The Spot Boulder (the other climbing gym BRC is usually being compared too). And unlike Movement Boulder, BRC has auto-belays so you don't need a partner to rope climb. BRC also has a small lounge area where you could theoretically work from (free WIFI) and free coffee and tea for members every morning until 11am. The biggest downside to BRC I'd say is that it's really a rope-climbing gym. The bouldering area has a lot to be desired if comparing it to The Spot (which in BRC's defense is a bouldering-specific gym). And though there are auto-belays, there's only about 1/2 dozen (I think?) so unless you have a partner to climb with most the climbing is inaccessible to you. On a side note, I do find the crowd at BRC about 20'ish years older than that at The Spot too. I received a free week at BRC after taking one of their belay classes and thoroughly enjoyed my time.

While Movement and The Spot have several gyms within driving distance of each other, the BRC charges nearly the same price for their single location. That means that members here are paying for less product than they would receive at other gyms. Second, the management is bad. The general manger exudes a kind of psycho energy as he stares at climbers through the front desk window. Multiple BRC youth team members have said that the managers make them feel uncomfortable. This has been going on for years and as far as I know they have done nothing to address it. Finally, the climbs at this gym are uninspired. There are a couple talented route setters on their staff, but the majority are inexperienced kids with an inflated sense of importance. It's truly amazing that a company that only needs to set a few routes per week is somehow putting out worse climbs than their competitors with 3x-5x the amount of setting.

Fitness center side has a good size cardio and weights area. They also have one large dance/class room and another smaller one. This facility is for ages 15+. They have a child care room but this place is basically for grown ups. Next door, the rec center has a large gym for basketball and a large pool area and all of that is for people of all ages. Now that I've clarified about the boundaries, the reason I go to the fitness center is because I'm a hooper. I work out via 'hula hoops'. Now, ideally, I would love to use one of the dance/class rooms that are often vacant during the day, but regular folks are not permitted to use those unless you are taking a class. The large cardio/weight room has mirrors, but not enough empty space for me to hoop. Upstairs, in the hallway (it's a really big hallway) outside the classrooms and the child care there is plenty of space for me to hoop. Also, (and I checked first) I can do this for free because technically, I'm not going into the workout facility and it's a community building. They would get five stars if I could use those awesome rooms, but I can't, so they don't. I know this review will not be relevant for many but it is what it is.

This is in the Sprouts shopping center so lots of easy parking. The studio is super modern, clean and has a fun disco vibe. They have bathrooms and offer filtered water. There are about 15 machines in the studio, most classes I've been to have been about half-3/4 full. One 5:30pm class was completely full. I really enjoy Lagree as a workout compliment to the rest of my training, I like that it's low impact and really works all those little muscles you probably wouldn't hit otherwise. I like all the music the instructors play here, it makes the class go a little faster/easier etc., but don't get me wrong - this is HARD! I've been going for a week and a half and while my understanding of what to do when has gotten a little better, actually doing it is still really hard, and I often leave wobbling.

Locker rooms only have one bathroom but there are 2 showers and lockers to use. My friends and I have gone there to take the zumba class that is offered in the upstairs studio every Tues evenings from 6-7pm. It's an awesome class and the teacher, Rhyann, is fantastic!!! I am NOT a dancer and am NOT coordinated at all and definitely have no rhythm BUT I have sooooo much fun in this class that I don't care that I look like a total spaz jumping around the room! The music is energetic and uplifting and Rhyann has really fun routines for each song....AND it is a total workout! I am totally sweating and tired but full of energy after each class (she also teaches at our work gym)....she never makes you feel silly and is always encouraging. Rhyann also changes up the class by introducing new music/routines in so you are never bored...and she is always open to suggestions and ideas.....5 stars for the zumba class! Studio is a little on the small side so it's good for smaller classes, like 10 people, since you MOVE during class....but you have mirrors on 2 sides (since it looks like it's used for dance/ballet as well), so you can see every silly shaking move you make! So, I would highly recommend trying the zumba class out at least once...just to try it! I never thought I would love it as much as i do when I first agreed to try it with a friend :) You can also check out the gym while you are at it...but the zumba classes are separate from the gym itself so you don't need a membership to drop in :)

This gym is great and very welcoming. They have a strict no judgement policy and just straight up fitness and working out. You come in whether there's only one trainer or maybe 5 trainers working with people everyone is friendly professional and courteous. Just fitness helps you achieve your goals and doesn't try to empty your wallet in the process. It has 24 hour access to members and have everything to machines, free weights, yoga and aerobic room, treadmills, ellipticals, row machines and other training equipment. I prefer working out early in the morning before work since it's less crowded like most gyms in the afternoons, or late in the evening. Check them out they're located on Industrial Lane in Broomfield, you won't be disappointed. Their name says it all.
