Incredibly equipped gym with the best array of machines and free weights. Not a bro gym but a place for serious training

Best gym in Longmont, well run, clean, and great equipment. Several classes are offered from Yoga to TRX

This review is specifically for Gonzo Tennis Academy, hosted by Longmont Athletic Club. We've…read moretried out a few kids tennis lessons and coaches in different surrounding cities, but Gonzo Tennis Academy is the BEST. Why? Because for my 5 year old and 7 year old kids, they get bored easily and act up, but Coach Gonzo and his brother Coach Diego are FUN and get the kids hitting! My 5 and 7 year old kids have dramatically improved with their technique in the 1 session we've been here and they always wind up laughing so much during their lesson. They talk to the side line parents for quick 10 second tips and advice during the lesson. Everything is broken down for the kids and easy to understand. We've had "tough guy" coaching techniques before, and they just aren't appropriate for this young age...usually my kids get discouraged with that kind of coach attitude. I travel all the way from Broomfield to Longmont because it's totally worth it and very reasonable prices for (non-member) tennis lessons. Oh, and did I mention lessons are *inside* a tennis bubble? Our last tennis session at Broomfield Tennis and Swim club was outside and we often had to cancel lessons due to poor weather, and I just didn't have the time to make up the lessons on alternative days. That, and my kids just hated the Colorado cold and windy days. They mentally gave up on playing before the lesson. We can play all year long and my boys don't have a huge lull between seasons. It's really the best overall place for little kid tennis lessons! Just don't take my 2 spots from my boys, okay? ;D

This facility is great. There is plenty of equipment with a decent setup of stations. My only…read morecomplaint is the staff does not seem happy to see me when I enter or leave. They are probably just busy or thinking about something else except today I walked in and Brandon welcomed me and said have a good work out. It's simple but makes me feel more welcome when I get here. PS it would be nice if there would be a little more strict dress code. Some of the outfits these people are wearing are quite relieving and as a man I don't appreciate seeing girls dressed that way.

I rarely leave reviews, but people should know what to expect from this location…read more I signed up for this gym largely because it offered a tanning bed, which was a big factor in my decision. The tanning bed has been out of order, and staff have openly said there are no plans to fix it because it's too expensive. That alone feels misleading. On top of that, the cleanliness has gone downhill. The cleaning towelettes that members are supposed to use to wipe down equipment are frequently empty and not restocked. As a result, people just stop cleaning machines, and the gym becomes noticeably unsanitary. What's frustrating is that staff don't seem to address it. Most of the time they're at the front desk talking instead of maintaining the floor or making sure supplies are available. I tried to handle this the right way and spoke calmly with management about canceling since the services I signed up for are no longer being provided. I was told nothing could be done and that notes would be added saying I refused cancellation paperwork, which isn't accurate. Overall, this feels like a gym that's cutting corners while still charging full price. If you're considering joining, I would strongly recommend looking at other options.

There were several rows of cardio and the elliptical machines worked just fine. They do still have the 30 minute circuit equipment, but it's in the middle of the workout area, but still effective. They had several smaller side rooms, one with the new squat rack and weights so that's nice. They also had an abs and stretching room, but there isn't a ton of floor space for mat work It was very clean, they have a really nice lobby and black card area and staff were super friendly

Poor customer service i hope the place i go in future communicates better.

CrossFit Longmont rocks!…read more As a lifetime exercise "hater" it sure sounds odd to hear myself saying that... But it's true: I've found "my tribe" here at CFL. I've been going to crossfit for just over a year now, and while it was hard as hell at first, I am now feeling better physically than I ever have in my life. Well, maybe I felt better when I was 25 but that was so long ago it doesn't count, lol. I really can't say "thank you!!" loudly enough to everyone at the box - to Sarge and Frank for doing the work it takes to even own and operate a box, to Cheryl for dragging me kicking and screaming in protest to just give it a go, to Trish who caught me trying to sneak back out the door my first day and kept encouraging me till I got past the point I wanted to quit, to the awesome barbell club coaches Brandon and Rocky and Bob for their seemingly endless patience with my clumsiness, and most especially to all the athletes (Sarge insists we're all 'athletes' - which amuses me - but I'm just weird) that make every WOD a fantastic experience. (a special shout out to the 6AM crew here: even 'Murph' is fun with that bunch of crazies!) My two bits? No matter what your fitness level is, you owe it to yourself to get your butt in here and find out for yourself what I'm talking about! You can thank me after, I'll be the old chubby guy lying on the floor in the corner gasping for air... ;-)
