I chose this location based on Yelp reviews, so I came in sight-unseen. First impressions count, and the reception/accounting team of Veronica & Lilly set a tone of professionalism and care for their patients on my very first visit. I will miss talking with these wonderful ladies. Several support staff (interns and future therapists) on hand to assist the staff therapists, and every single one of them was professional and devoted to doing the job right. A special shout out to Tori, who took care of me almost every single visit. Hard working, caring and pleasant, I have no doubt she has a great career ahead of her. Alex was on his 2d of 3 intern stops before receiving his degree, and under Bryan's tutelage, he took exceptional care of me. Easy going, yet focused on the task at hand, I could rely on Alex to make me feel at ease, as well as test the bounds of what I could do with my shoulder. He's gonna make a fine physical therapist. Lastly, so much gratitude to Bryan Woo for his 'good hands' and literally making my PT sessions bearable and even stress relieving. He's an expert at his trade, and just seems to sense what his patients are feeling. Additionally, his leadership at the clinic is well established, as he sets a light-hearted, yet professional tone that his employees all embrace. They send out past-due balance notices before applying payments, which makes it look like you owe more than you actually do, and they do not return calls. Their voicemail says you'll receive a callback within 24 hours, but I waited weeks without hearing from anyone. When I asked the front desk for help, I was simply told, "Well, they are aware that you need to talk to them," with no further assistance. I finally managed to get ahold of someone only after repeatedly calling the number myself, and there was never even an apology for the lack of response to my voicemails. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've experienced billing issues here. I had similar problems last year with inconsistent balances and difficulty getting responses from the billing department. And I have always paid my full copay at each visit so I should not owe a single dime. It's unfortunate because the physical therapists themselves have been wonderful.

There are individual treatment rooms with beautiful calming views out of the windows in the rooms. The therapists are well trained and listen to you to be sure you are getting the most effective therapy for your situation. They also offer massage therapy which I tried and loved. Red light therapy is another service that is offered. Vicky is the first person you interact with and she is so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'm so glad that I found Jordan Larson's Active Physical Therapy!

The chiro then comes and says they can bill my insurance for some things, but a lot of things will be out of pocket. He proceeds to try to get me to commit to a 6,800 "treatment plan" out of pocket. In which I need daily sessions for weeks, need to buy his foam roller and stretching tool, etc. I ask, will I be able to get itemized bills for these services? He explains they don't have enough office staff to give me an itemized bill, but that's how much it will cost. Very strange. I was able to find a normal chiropractor who takes my insurance instead in town.

Karen took the time to provide education regarding pelvic floor and the benefits of strengthening it, including alleviating back and hip pain. I was surprised how many exercises and stretches there are; all of which were helpful. Karen also gave me tips for movement during labor to help with baby's positioning and descent. The most helpful piece of advice was the updated recommendation of how to breathe while in the pushing stage of labor. For my first pregnancy, I was only in labor for ~6hrs and only pushed for 1 hour. The delivering OB relayed that I had no tears and attributes this to the daily stretches I did for about a month and a half. I had a very smooth labor and think that pelvic floor therapy by Karen greatly contributed. Thank you Karen!
