Been a patient on and off over the last 4 years, Dr Taylor was amazing at treating while training for a marathon. I came back today for new evaluation with Dr Su. Loved the session. Was hoping to come back to see her on a weekly cadence. Well that was until I get the front to pay my co payment.... Im notified there that my visit is at of out of network and I will need to pay full price. Although I provided my updated insurance when I booked the appointment a few weeks back, and I asked if my insurance was covered and in network and was told yes over the phone. Again, when I got to my appointment, I re-provided my insurance card and info again, no one said I was out of my network and should be expected full price for the service. Go through my appointment, go to pay my co payment which expecting $20 (maybe $35 for specialist) and was told "your visit is $120". Of course, I was shocked and upset, and the explain to the three staff members at the front desk about how I had spoken to representatives before hand about my insurance coverage and no one had flagged not being in network or covered. The response was "we assume you know your insurance". Of course, that made me even more upset. I paid for my service, of course, but unfortunately I won't be coming back for more visits. I really enjoy Dr Taylor and Dr Su services, have recommended at least 5+ people over the years but I'm very sad to say I won't be doing that in future. I would recommend they work on their customer service since it's costing them great clients. read more

Dr. Taylor and her team did such a good job rehabbing my shoulder and knee.... the only reason I'm not continuing is that I feel great. I just have to say how lucky I feel to have found Su and her team. I came in with 15 pounds of muscle loss from being bed ridden for few weeks. Within a month and half they had me back to where was before my incident. A month and half more they got me stronger than I have been in many years. I have to admit that I don't like being corrected often but after quieting my ego's inner voice I realized that it was exactly what I needed. Once my focus was on listening and form instead of just getting thru the exercises, my progress was significant. I'm very grateful for the whole team. No bullsh*t I've read yelp reviews for several years, however, I've never written one. This is my first. And this is also my first major injury. I'm a Police Officer and I tore my ACL. My entire life is based around a physical work environment and sports in my free time. After I got the diagnosis, I was lost. I had never gone they anything like this. I had second and third opinions, spoke to others about their process, read articles, and along my search for answers I found Dr John and Dr Su. (Oh and can't forget Ian!) Honestly out of the dozens of surgeons, doctors, nurses, therapists, insurance agents, and medical supply reps, I didn't believe much of what they said. But when I walked through the door, sat on the table, and Dr John, Dr Su, and Ian looked me in the eyes and said "We will get you walking again. And you will get you're job back..." I believed them. I was off crutches 9 days later. The journey has been difficult but Dr John has given me all of the answers I was searching for. The aids are great, the Drs are personable and well trained, the space is clean, but most of all their primary concern is your wellness. The doctors at Movement Specialists know exactly what they are doing! It's taken me a while to write this review, I went there to do physical therapy after trying multiple places. When I went there at first I was a bit skeptical giving other experiences but I decided to give it a try. To my surprise their program really help me and Dr. John Huang was incredible very knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell he is someone who takes his patients seriously and that he is professional and passionate about what he does. I've been coming here just under 2 months now after a bad car accident left me with hand, neck and back injuries. In that short amount of time, I've regained so much strength and range of motion with the help of John's expertise. My daughter is a competitive gymnast, so broken bones, torn ligaments, and sprains are all too frequent road blocks on her journey. The work that Dr. Su does is nothing short of miraculous, her knowledge of her craft is astounding. She understands the musculoskeletal system intimately, and knows exactly what to do in each instance to promote recovery safely and swiftly to get my daughter back in the gym with minimum down time. My experience with Movement Specialists has been nothing but positive. I've had shoulder pain for years, and finally decided to try and fix it this past April. I was referred to Dr. John by a friend who spoke highly of him. After explaining my fitness history, and performing some stretches/exercises, Dr. John pinpointed what caused my pain, what I had done to further exacerbate this pain, and how I could recover and avoid future shoulder pain. I've been going to Movement Specialists for a few months now, and my shoulder pain has disappeared completely. Now, I'm working on strengthening my shoulder to help prevent future injuries. The team at Movement Specialists is great. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and willing to go out of their way to help. Whenever I have a question, someone can help me immediately, even if they're not working with me directly. I came in August because I had a hard time walking and my pcp told me physical therapy would help. I had been very skeptical of physical therapy because my previous physical therapist really didn't do much after I had seen them for 3 months for a workers comp injury. Dr. Sue is fantastic! She analyzed my body, assigned me exercises, and recommended lifestyle changes(how to hold my purse, changes in how I walk). After being a patient here I don't know what I would do with out her and her team! I see how she interacts with patients of all ages and if my mom and dad lived in California I would want them to come here. I also love that she works on training so many interns so they are Incredibly knowledgeable and I how much she gives back to the community. Gosh...where to start. There are so many great things to say about this clinic. The very first thing that I noticed was the warm vibe when I walked in. Everyone greeted me with a smile and you could tell it was truly genuine. Before I even saw the doctor, Ian sat down with me and explained the insurance/payment process. This stuff is normally like a foreign language to me, but it was clear that Ian had a true command of the process. He was really helpful and considerate, and the billing process was a breeze. Now on to Su...wow!! I've been to a few PT's before, and none of them were ever as detailed as Su was when it came to taking my history. The first consult lasted around an hour, and Su analyzed every little detail possible. We discussed my past sports injuries, my current concerns, and even my diet and day-to-day activities. What really blew me away was how Su analyzed my body movements. She quickly picked up on abnormal movements and specific muscle groups that have been over-compensating and causing pain. Her detailed approach and comprehensive understanding of the human body is truly amazing. I have now been going to this clinic for several months, and I can safely say that my shoulder has improved more in this time than it did over the previous 10 years of treatment. Dr. Su Wang is the best, she knows the human body and how to fix it quick and efficiently. I had a very bad shoulder injury (external rotation) from Jiu Jitsu last year and had to use Kaisers Physcial Therapy because they are my insurance provider, but I eventually stopped going after a few weeks because I felt like I was not improving and was a waste of time, they just gave me old flyers from decades ago on different exercise to do. So I had Dr. Sue look at me and she quickly knew what my issue was and showed me a few great exercise to quickly strengthen my shoulder back from this injury. Almost a year later my shoulder has gotten better without surgery and I know in a few more months I'll have completely healed. I can surf again and do jiu jitsu without pain and it feels great, I'm so thankful for Dr. Sue and her knowledge on the human body and how to fix injuries. Not only did she give me excellent exercises and movements to heal my injury. She also helped me fix my posture! She showed me some tips and tricks on how to sit up straight and properly walk up right correctly. I'm on the computer alot and badly hunch over sometimes, or sometimes I think I'm walking upright but I was really just puffing out my chest and sticking out my but, which is very bad too. Dr Sue was very helpful in not only my shoulder injury but also provided invaluable feedback on my posture as well. On my run this morning the only thing that hurt were my cheeks from smiling! Five stars is not enough to express the gratitude I feel towards Dr. SU. She is brilliant and understated. She has a phenomenal ability to assess your weaknesses and to fix what's not working. Previously I spent a year and a half working with "health in balance chiropractor", getting body work, etc and nothing changed. I felt like I was just sold a bunch of snake oil. I read all of the positive reviews and I had faith to trust and try her program she created for me after the initial assessment. At first the physical therapy exercises were challenging but at the same time just in the scope of do-ability. I didn't notice major changes at first, just less pain. Now after a couple of months of seeing Dr. Su I'm amazed by the changes I see and feel. I feel more strong and stable. Doing the physical exercises is the highlight of my morning. The Movement Specialist team is INCREDIBLE. They don't just focus on the pain site or pain management; they get to know your lifestyle and assess your overall movements to develop a recovery plan that includes targeted stretching AND strength. I found them after a bad rock-climbing injury (thumb and wrist of my dominant hand). I was honestly afraid I would not be able to climb again or I would always be afraid of re-injuring. But Dr. John put an AMAZING plan together ( I stuck to said plan - that part is key) and I was able to return to climbing and my other normal activities with confidence. He explained the goals of each stretch and strengthening exercise so I could progress on my own. Their entire team is friendly, outgoing and sweet. I do a combination of Strongman and Crossfit as well as play soccer. I tore my meniscus while playing soccer and my first PT place was awful. Saw the doc for a few mins for an eval, then was thrown into a room with a bunch of other people with assistants that checked in on me every 10 minutes with the basic exercises they gave me. At my follow up with doc, I explained how I felt I wasn't as far as along as I should have been and needed a different PT. I was given an open script (PPO) and was recommended this place by someone at my gym. I will say that I have not heard a single thing that I wanted to hear....which is exactly what I needed to hear. The Dr reviewed me in depth, hell, more than my last physical I'd say. Every step, bend, stance, hip placement, back, posture , everything was examined. They knew where things hurt before I told them. They knew what issues I had before I explained. They had a team review me, and at the most, I'll see 1 or 2 other patients while I'm there. They keep the patient load small so they can focus on you. Constant correction (because I'm really lazy and try to cheat), attention, and they really know their stuff. They've explained to me where my weaknesses are and how to help correct things so I can get back to my much more active lifestyle. Definitely come here!!!! read more
