A dinner and movie combo is always good weekend fun. We selected this location to see I Can Only Imagine 2. This theater is located in the Hulen Mall parking lot near Dillard's parking garage. You can order food and drinks at the lobby bar or inside the auditorium. We opted for ordering from our seats. The seats are comfortable but I've definitely experienced better seating. We stuck with popcorn, salads, milkshakes and drinks but the food options looked good also. Just a heads up the servers tip themselves 20% on their tablets when you put your order in. I've seen a few movies here. The movie experience is average nothing like the picture and sound quality you get at the larger Cinemark or AMC theaters. Last night I ordered food for the first time and it was an absolutely horrible experience for the price of $39.07 I ordered the pick 3 platter with sliders, mozzarella sticks and potato skins. Took one hour to get my food and then once I did it didn't include napkins. Took 20 more minutes for napkins. All the food was dry and flavorless. I ate the mozzarella sticks. I could only eat one potato skins because it was like cardboard and only 2 bites of one slider. Just couldn't stomach it any further. Never again! read more

Nice clean theater, staff all seemed nice. I had the chicken quesadillas which were pretty good. Chairs were comfy, all seemed to work, some louder than others. Tried to take wife out on a special date. We ordered food the waiter came by twice to have the bill signed and said food was coming. I was content thinking SURELY the food is coming while the wife was worried about it but I wanted to watch the show not investigate the status of our meal. Manager comes by after the kitchen is closed and apologizes and says the will give me refund after the show. Wife is pissed, we have missed parts of the show, and after the show the manager is NOWHERE to be found! I walked thru the kitchen, in closets, in other theaters and no body can be found. Me and my grandson order burgers, wings, fries, popcorn, and candy. A promise I kept because he did so good at school. I ordered at 724. Flagged a waiter down at 745, 750 755, and again at 8. Finally I was told they lost the order. Then they lied and said they tried to find me but because I just had surgery on my leg I've been in my seat the entire time. To know their staff lied is so shocking. Just say you didn't work your online orders. The manager could care less that they took my grandsons experience away from a premiere. He will never get this experience back. Ever!!! I want t money from the tickets back. I was refunded the ticket for food but that's not the point. I will grant them that it was Christmas night and busy, so maybe just maybe a few things were off based on that. I ordered our food ahead and it was brought exactly on time, but it was missing three items. It took a good deal of time after pressing the button to even ask about these items. The food was meh, which we weren't expecting gourmet, but we've eaten at other movie taverns and not been this disappointed. Avoid the fried pickles!!! The original ones we got were so sad, half didn't have any breading, they were all potato chip level crispy, and had no flavor. For the very first time in my life I asked for a replacement order, they were so bad. The replacements weren't much better, but this time almost half of them were edible. I have never had fried pickles this awful in my life. Next we will discuss the bathroom. It was filthy with used toilet paper on the floor, an overflowing trash can, and it smelled awful. Now on to the biggest problem, the theater chairs. They squeaked and groaned if you moved even a little bit, and I don't mean the motors, I mean the seat itself. So we went to the movies on the 25th to watch the movie Snow White the 9 o'clock showing we get in there if you're still going press a button to get our food our server was absolutely amazing. He did a great job serving us brought us our drinks first which was amazing. He did good but when we got our food, our food was absolutely cold. Everything was fucking cold and by the time we got our food, there was already closed in the kitchen, so it was really no real reason to even press the button for them to reheat it that those kitchen's already closed by the time we got our food everything was absolutely cold and if They knew it was cold, I don't know why they were still bring it till it was cold. they should've reheated everything or try to do something but our server was amazing but the food was cold. We went to see the 9 o'clock showing and we sit in row GC9 and 10 serve was amazing. I gave him a 10 out of 10 but the food from the kitchen I give it a -2 out of 10 next time. Order got food first .20 minutes later got the Pepsi then 6 mi. Later my sangria. They had me tab out instead of waiting to see if I was going to need more off the menu. I wanted another sangria so I again pushed the button.it took 40 min.for them to a take my order.again they had me tab out . ( thankfully that drink only took 3 to 5 min.) I didn't think the service was good. But even though , both tickets had 20 % gratitude on there so please don't give them anymore money if they haven't been good servers. They automatically give them selves 20%. I don't know if they get paid like a server and have to make up the difference in tips but the employer should pay them the livable wage not the customers. I have had kids who worked as a server so I know that you should tip ,but if they are not doing their job and are goofing with co workers I shouldn't be expected to give a full 20%. They need to work for their tip so we want to give you thanks and tip not be expected to make their wages for them with bad service. Maybe if a manager stayed in the back when light goes off customers wouldn't have to wait so long. Place has gone down hill. Seats are dirty and peeling, staff is rude. Brought in my big water bottle that I take everywhere with me. When walking in wasn't a problem my boyfriend goes to refill it and the ticket person has a whole bitch fit even grabbing security. Mind you I wasn't ID'd when coming to see Deadpool but my boyfriend was. Other people in the theater were loud, kept whistling, snapping and talking loudly. This was my second time to go to this movie theater. We bought the tickets online, we ordered the popcorn online, didn't even show the ticket when we went in, and that was it. The problem is, it's gosh awful expensive. The first night we went, hubby and I ordered popcorn, two drinks, and a gluten-free pizza. (I have celiac disease) All said and done with the senior discount it was nearly $75 for the night. For two of us. We're trying to retire! Not realizing where we were going the second time, I allowed my family to buy tickets once again for the theater. The theater itself is very nice, my one super complaint other than the amount, is that people order food all through the movie - so you have the people coming in to bring the food. That could be quite disruptive. Not 100% sure I wanna go again. This time we only bought coffee, two drinks, and a bucket of popcorn. I haven't figured out the damage yet because it's too close to Christmas. On the brighter side, for the $3.50 for a cup of coffee, it was bottomless! We watched Avengers: Endgame on 3D, theatre 11. The $5 Movie Tuesdays isn't bad at all, we got free popcorn and free water. The dolby surround speaker is nice and crisp (the same as XD Cinema). What I don't like about this theater is the smell of the ambience, parking is a little crowded especially the parking garage ground floor and in front of the theater. But I saw plenty of parking lots on the second floor parking garage. The ticket line was quick. The reclining seats are a little bit comfortable for me. The space for walking through the seats are somewhat narrow even for the servers when your seats are reclined. Not all of the food here are the best but some are good. Sometimes the servers are distracting during the movie. Some theaters that offer dine-in usually takes the order outside of the theater. What I've also noticed is that most of the reviewers are complaining about their orders taking almost 1 hour, having the wrong order, & etc. and I think that's because the servers device for logging your orders are mostly broken, when we we're ordering this lady told us the thing was not working. So what she did is memorize our order and if it was broken, they could've used paper and pencil to write down the orders. I looked on other servers and they do the same thing. Also, when they serve your food (especially when you have alot of orders), alot of them aren't sure what seat number is the order, so they have to improvise by asking some of the customers if they ordered this food. This place really exists?! I didn't know a movie theatre could be so bad. So you walk in and you immediately go back in time. I don't know what time because I was born in the 1990's but definitely a long time ago. The place is completely retro but not in a cool way, more like in a run down, cheap way. There's no concession stand, so you order at your seat. You proceed to the shotgun theatre that's incredibly narrow with a small screen, only to sit in the middle and feel like you're miles away. You then press the button on your wooden desk tray to order. A person comes out 15 minutes later. You order popcorn with butter and a drink. They tell you the drink comes in one size, so your first thought is oh it must be a large. Your food comes out 10 minutes later. Your drink later comes out another 10 minutes after your food. The drink is a kids size drink that you can finish in two sips. You watch the movie in your far away seats with low quality volume, then the check comes. They charge you $1.00 for butter. You cannot believe that you paid for a movie in a shitty theatre, a drink in a sippy cup, and fucking butter. read more

The 1 big Dolby theatre has great sound and the large number of theaters means they have a bigger selection of films to choose from. On the flip side, the location is terrible, & the staff is frequently very loud in the hallways to the point where we could hear it in the theatre. Go to the West 7th location unless you want to see a movie that's only showing here. read more

After a Covid hiatus this theater does not disappoint. Basically one star once again. No seat service! So maybe let people know when they order drinks that there is no seat service. Turn off seat service lights! Got yelled at for having ours on. Seats are an improvement. Popcorn is horrible, turned in first batch second batch was bad as well. We did order drinks so why we were not asked about a food order is beyond me. Gave a $7,00+ tip on a 28.00 tab. Poor customer service. knowing the Marcus Family I am sure they will be embarrassed by this review, as I left Wi where their theaters are extremely nice. Overall, the service is mediocre. The staff isn't lively, or even warm, but they did do their job. The establishment is clean and I received my order less than a few minutes after the movie began. The real reason I've decided to leave such a low rating is because of the end of my experience. I was watching the credits of Elemental with my 3 children (which we always do), a movie we've been waiting to watch for months. A custodian approached us, plopping a very full trash bin as my seat and said very plainly "Trash?" to which my children and I stood up and obliged him. Even though I've been to countless theaters, I've never encountered this before. It was barely 8:30 and I felt like we were being rushed. As we threw our trash away, my 7 year old, autistic son with very severe speech problems but VERY friendly, spoke unintelligibly to the man as he threw his trash away. He was so excited from seeing the movie, he fumbled even more over his words and the mans response was plain again "I don't know what you said." I smiled while pulling my son close to me, as I'm use to varied reactions like this, "I'm sorry, he can't speak very well." And the man replied laughing "YEAH SORRY!! I don't speak monkey!!" I couldn't believe it!! I covered my son's ears and the man noticed my disgusted face and gave a very weak "sorry" and walked away. I wanted to go off, but my children, my son especially, are very sensitive when I become angry, and since it was just me and my children, I chose to leave, disappointing my children further, as I broke our ritual of watching the credits all the way through. I have no words, I feel furious that this man interrupted us as we were still enjoying the movie, gave my son the ugliest insult I've ever heard, and the fact that I let him walk away is still burning me up hours later. Starting with the food, all of the options were expensive. The cheapest item on the menu was $5.95 for a cup of soup. I ordered the edamame without the ranch sauce because almost all items were upwards of 900 calories. My boyfriend ordered the steak and shrimp for the same reason (they listed it at 600 calories). We waited about 20 minutes to get the food. We ordered a side of french fries 10 minutes after we ordered originally and they came out first. When our food did arrive, it was a great disappointment. Part of the edamame was warm while the other was still as cold as the refrigerator. For the price, I was pleased with the portion, but not the quality. For my boyfriend's steak and shrimp, I did not have high expectations; but geez, it was like a frozen meal... one that had been in the freezer way too long. The theatre itself needs a deep cleaning. Even without food, I would not return to this location. The carpets seemed to have soaked in all of the smells from the kitchen and the walk to your designated theatre is not pleasant. It was noticeably humid inside the theatre, which added another layer of funk. We did have a positive experience with our server and ticket collector, but it wasn't enough to forget about the above issues.
