I can't say enough about my experience here. Before starting private Pilates instruction three years ago, a lower back problem kept me from walking more than a few blocks at a time. Since then, I've greatly improved my core strength, and have virtually no lower back pain. The instructors are highly qualified and customize my exercise routine to account for the condition of my body and the goals I want to achieve. Love their Pilates cardio class. Been taking their classes for the past year on and off and never disappoints. All the instructors I've had are super knowledgeable, friendly and corrects your form. This is review is for zumba only on Saturday afternoon . Very nice teacher , I forgot her name , but terrible class. The moves were out of dates and I didn't sweat for the 40mn (I left early, I couldn't take it anymore) that I was there . I like zumba for great cardio and toning, none of which I experienced. The space is so small that a dancing class makes no sense whatsoever. I will try plates class that everyone is raving about however , but hell no to zumba read more

Took the Pilates plate class today with Raleigh today. This is no ordinary Pilates class. I was very challenged and sweating which doesn't often happen in Pilates. My triceps were already sore before I left the class. I'm sure tomorrow will be brutal but at least that's a good indication that I got an amazing workout! I HATE working out beyond belief but this place is so close to where I live and I felt compelled to give it a try. I took a TRX class and to my disbelief I actually LOVED it!! It made me feel really strong and I've actually gone back several times now which for me is not usual. The teachers are great and it's a small intimate studio which I also really love. Patricia, the owner, is extremely organized, responsive and friendly. I bought an AmazonLocal voucher in October for 4-classes and have been trying Pilates Reformer classes for the first time with my friends. The studio is small but it helps give a more intimate setting so that the instructor gives each person time. I am learning to love Pilates and will likely continue going even after I finish the four classes because its been a great work out and the instructors have all been very attentive and helpful. read more

I have tried Moving Strength for 2 TRX classes so far. I had a wonderful experience! My very first TRX class was with Rob and he is excellent. I apreciated all the corrections he nicely gave and the encouraging attention he provided. The space is small but comfortable. I live far away in Tribecca but went with friend to take TRX class he raves about. It works with ropes. Your hands pull your body weight as resistance. Class was well taught I broke a good sweat without fear of strained muscles. Space is unintimidating and staff was friendly. I would join if it were more convenient to where I live. read more

All-Stars!! I was fortunate to be able to take the trx-Pilates combo with Rob who has the absolute perfect balance as a teacher and role model. He taught a challenging class topped with a sense of humor. I could only aspire to have glutes like his. Patricia's Pilates equipment class was challenging with options to tone it down. I got a groupon for pilates equipment classes and loved the studio! I travel over an hour from the Bronx just to reach to the UES. I've taken classes from a number of the teachers and haven't had a single bad experience. The owner, Patricia, is extremely helpful and very responsive to emails! The classes are capped at 5 people and are typically at 3 or 4 students. I've had a few classes where I was the only person and was very grateful that they weren't canceled. I have some back and hip issues but all of the teachers were very understanding and helpful in making sure I was doing the exercises properly! I highly recommend any class from this studio!! read more
