Enjoyed Happy Hour outside on a beautiful day! The service and drinks were great! Looking forward to trying dinner one night.

It had been a minute since I visited, I specifically visited them for their blacked creole chicken during happy hour. It is so comforting and the creole butter they put on the chicken, makes all the difference! The mash potatoes they serve with the chicken is soooo soft and tastes amazing with the butter as well. It also has seasonal veggies and cajun spices. I'll definitely visit them before the year ends specially for the chicken again! My fiance got their garden burger with truffle fries which was good too! They had a new minty boba drink that they usually don't have on their main drinks menu. It was good, really liked the boba! The service was amazing as always, the food came so quickly.

    Crispy Tofu Bowl (vegan)

I would never choose to come here, but I got dragged here. They have some vegan options, which I appreciate. I ordered their Crispy Tofu Bowl ($24.50 plus tax), a basic bowl with sweet chili sauce-coated fried tofu, over a bed of white rice, with some edamame, radish, avocado, mango, cucumber and minimal green leaves. The tofu is the only thing that is seasoned/spiced/sauced -- everything else just comes plain. The portion was fine, but this seemed like a very boring, uninspired dish, not to mention overpriced. Though the tofu was nicely seasoned, everything else was just basic ingredients; why would I pay for this when I could assemble this in 5 minutes at home? As always with Cactus, the service is friendly, though it wasn't particularly astute on this evening. Much of the stuff seemed to be distracted by a sports game playing on TV.

First of all, we were sitting in the lounge.. where you would think it only adults, I will say that suddenly we are noticing that a family with children (14 years I would put him at.) they didn't like how loud we were speaking. (It was only two of us.. )talking about work.. how loud could we be speaking.. maybe a swear word. Regardless , we had words with the parent, meanwhile the kid was Filming us!! Now I have an issue. At first management was on our side until I called later, asking about the filming.. suddenly they say I was raising my voice to manager .. trust me, I have a witness and my own film.. and spoke to a lawyer... I was NOT raising my voice... I was upset about being filmed by this child. I will not return to this location

Great happy hour and summer specials! Perfect spot for a summer evening. Attentive service and good selection of drinks and appetizers to share.

Cozy place to sit and wait.

I had a cozy place to sit and the energy felt good. Happy Hour just started and the restuarant started filling up. I stayed and had a glass of the 8 oz cab Sav and the Tuna Poke Bowl. Both were good. The service was polite and professional. The wine and food were served in good time. I love the luxurious bathroom.

Always amazed at how great the food and service are at Cactus Clubs. The Broadway and Ash location is no different. Friendly hostesses right when you walk through their doors. Waiter Sammy B. was very attentive and checked up on us constantly. Food again was amazing as always. Keep us the great work.

What an amazing spot! We stopped here for lunch on the way to Whistler, because so many locals recommended it, and we were not disappointed! We made it in time for happy hour so everything's all reasonably priced. Definitely has an upscale vibe to it. the service was super efficient, and the food was fantastic and unique!

    Steak frites! So delicious!

This restaurant was such a lucky find on our first day in Vancouver! Our first server Sammy, recommended amazing food and was such a terrific server, patient and attentive to us! I had the best salad of my life so far there! (Green Goddess with salmon) We loved the food so much we came back the next day for dinner! Our server Sam from lunch the day before remembered us and said hi too! Our kind and lovely waitress for dinner, Sarah, was so sweet and made our dinner so much more enjoyable with her being on top of everything including never letting us run out of our water! Her recommendations were excellent as well! Seriously the appetizers, mains, and desserts were beyond wonderful! This would be a regular place for me if I lived locally! Don't miss out on this gem! The people and food are so worth it! 100/10

    Happy hour for Bellini
    Mary C.

Fifteen years ago I was a fan of Cactus. The past 5 years Cactus Club was not on the top of my radar due to disappointment in food. Yesterday, I decided to give it a shot due to the location and having an early happy hour. Was not expecting much but was amazingly surprised with the visit and will certainly come back to this location. Called the morning to reserve a table and got one for happy hour. Usually happy hour offer small dishes so was surprised when full entrees were being served at happy hour prices. Good selection of drinks and items. Here's what impressed me: 1. Amazing Bellini cocktail that only Milestone could ever make perfectly. Well, this Cactus Club makes it better. The Bellini held and didn't melt. Perfect balance of sweet and slushy mixture. 2. I ordered steak frites for a medium rare and was expecting a small flat steak but had a good size sirloin streak that was cooked to perfection. The fries were also the best and held the crisp. My friend had the Blackened Creole Chicken and he enjoyed it. 3. Service from the beginning calling in, greeted at the front door and our waiter were all fantastic. Excellent social distancing policy in effect here. Happy afternoon and happy meal. Will be back again now that Catus Club is back on my radar. Parking is hell during week days so take transit or find the 2 hour free parking on the side streets 2-4 blocks away.

    B-day dessert!

Last evening, upon arriving at your West Broadway & Ash location, when greeted by the hostess, she said you didn't have a reservation and we were able to quickly sort out that my Dad had erroneously booked at the West Broadway & Granville location. Rather than directing us to your sister location, she was able to provide our party of 8 with a booth. As we were there to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday and it was important to us to all sit together and not be split into 2 booths, I was both pleased and impressed by how your team "made the magic happen" during a busy time (6:30pm)! Our server was warm, friendly and attentive. Of course the food & drinks were delicious and the special plating of my daughter's molten lava cake topped off the night! Many thanks for having the right people who were empowered to help find the right solution!! Bravo!

2020 promises to be the most difficult year for most people and businesses. I can't believe June is over. British Columbia has entered Phase 3 of its COVID-19 restart plan. Looking for a great deal for health care professionals near VGH? Don't want to wait for food? I ordered a pick-up from the Cactus Club website. It has a "healthcare hero combo" for $12.75 including a choice of the selected main, and each served with a choice of drink and a cookie. The price was remarkable especially on West Broadway near Cambie Street. The place takes health and safety measures. It separates the pick-up counter and the dine-in entrance. It even makes a super easy experience for pick-up. The food was warm and delicious. It was easy to enjoy a great meal at work. It is located on 575 West Broadway which is about a 10-minute walk from VGH (between West Broadway and Ash Street). Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: take out Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $20-$30 for two (Lunch-combo) Presentation: 2/5 Parking: 1/5 Tips: *has outdoor seats. *has special menu for gluten-free eaters. *accepts take-out order online. *accepts reservations Would I Return: Yes ‍

We came here for a Winnie the Pooh Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

The setting is cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was lovely and we were not rushed. Unfortunately they require full payment at the time of booking including a tip % automatically applied. My friend really wanted to go and therefore I agreed to it this one time but I would never do it again.

We sat indoors with the option to be seated outdoors with heated lamps but we didn't want to smell the smoke from people smoking outside. We ordered the Dark Spell Latte, Albedo Spritz, and Final Word. The Dark Spell Latte is like an espresso martini with chocolate syrup added, which is pretty solid. The Albedo Spritz is a red wine cocktail with hard liquor, and stood out to me as they had 5oz of alcohol so this was fairly strong, but I would imagine most of the ounces came from the wine itself. I liked the gold dusted blackberry. The Final Word is fruity and smoky, which I enjoyed, but not warrant a hefty price tag compared to the other drinks. Service is decent and in line with other restaurant bars. Overall, solid drinks at okay prices that I can see myself recommending this spot. Food was good. We went during happy hour and I got their happy hour burger + fries ($16) and a creme brulee ($6). The burger and fries was solid - nothing super amazing, but got the job done! The creme brulee was really good and came at a great price. I like that they have a lot of specials like pasta nights (wish I would've stopped by on those nights!), wine special days, and pizza special days. Service was fine. A little slow, but it was nearing the end of the evening so I'm sure it's quicker when it's more lively!

We ended up waiting around 20 minutes past our reservation time, sitting in a crowded entrance area with many other people also waiting for tables. It left a pretty disappointing first impression, especially when the table had already been booked in advance. The service also felt rushed toward the end. The receipt was brought to us immediately after we finished eating without us asking for it, which gave the impression they wanted to turn the table over as quickly as possible. That said, the lobster poutine was actually very good. The chocolate bonbons, however, were honestly disappointing. Three very small, dry chocolate candies for $15 felt excessive and not worth ordering.
