Loved Mozz! There have been a few different pizza joints opening up over the last few years in the Provo area. I'll admit, I was a little doubtful that this place would stand out or have something special to offer. Boy was I wrong! This place has unique pizza flavors that will knock your socks off. And they'll also do you a solid with your classic favorites. I've tried the honey serrano, asparagus, and cauliflower and really liked all of them. And usually any place that gives you oil and balsamic will win me over pretty easily, so they've got that going for them too. I think my very favorite thing about this place is how it looks inside. I loved the vibe! Decorated with fresh flowers, unique art, and a basil garden. So fun! Will definitely be back soon! read more

We wanted to try this place because it's new and they are pretty good! We were very pleased with the size of the pizza and the variety of modern pizza flavors as well as then amount of toppings they put on the pizza. They have decorated it so cute inside also!! The food was good and the meat pizza was our favorite one to get! It was a little spicy and so good! Also the crust tasted soooo good! Our only complaint was that there isn't much parking maybe 3-4 spots out front that are shared with a couple other businesses and that's about it unless you want to park a block away. read more

MOZZ is definitely a great addition to the local pizza scene. The quality and attention to detail is incredible. I'm a big fan of Neapolitan pizza and MOZZARELLA hits the mark. In many ways it is reminiscent of Pizzeria 7-12, but with a much more relaxed atmosphere and a more limited (yet still full of great options) menu. Honestly, the only real issue that I had was the price point when weighed against the overall dining experience. I really like the atmosphere. I had no problem ordering it at a counter and having food delivered to the table. I just don't expect to pay quite that much without real tableside service. Like many restaurants, you order and pay upfront. I used a credit card and was asked to sign the monitor and add a tip (again, no problem, this is standard operating procedure). When suggested tip options are 15%, 18% and 20% at a restaurant where I sat squeezed in at the end of the table with my back up against another one, it just wasn't quite the experience that I hoped for. I feel like I paid a premium for an average experience. I guess I'll summarize by saying that I had incredible food, but with an average dining experience. I am definitely going to go again, I will recommend it to others and I can see why it is so popular. I'll try to go when it is a little less busy and with a slightly smaller group. MOZZ took a pizza of my heart. Alright bad puns aside I've been waiting to try it after all the hype for weeks. Finally had some time with my friends and it lived up to the hype. It was more than I could imagine and set the new standard for a classic artisan pizza place. I have to say it is pretty pricey. The decor is beautiful and had plenty of seats with fresh flowers. They have their own mini herb garden in the front. Open clean environment. The cashier was super nice and welcoming for our first time and gave us great Recommendations. We followed through and it was the best pizza of the three. Meat Pizza w/ Goat Cheese and Lemon Zest! Next favorite was Honey & Serrano. Lastly we had Italian sausage which kinda tasted like spaghetti on a pizza haha. We got the drink sampler which has a choice of three different drinks. The best by far was blackberry mint. The mango habanero was good too. And lavender lemonade was not bad. Overall the quality of ingredients is noticeable and best so far I've ever had. Been to MOZZ twice in the past few weeks and I really enjoy it. My sister has been like 5 times in the past month, so I think it shows that this place does pizza right. The positives of MOZZ far outweigh the negatives. Actually in all reality I think there is only one negative to MOZZ. I'll get to that later. The positives: -Such a dope vibe. They are in a restored building and the floors, tables, chairs etc. are all amazing. The workers are cool and helpful. - Pizza is bomb. I've got the Serrano and honey both times. Crust is great, sauce is great, flavor combo is great. No complaints regarding their food. Also, love the balsamic they offer to dip the crusts. YUM!! The fascinating: - the soda flavors they offer are interesting. Some I love, others I can't stand. The craft cola was gross. The lemon-ginger was AMAZING. the lavender one was also interesting. Worth the experience, but be prepared for the unexpected with the soda flight. The negative: Parking is the only real negative I can't think of. There are like 4 spots in front of the restaurant but besides that you've got to scour downtown to find places to park. Not necessarily their fault, but they should look to rent parking behind their building. Other restaurants and places have it, so MOZZ should do that. Hey y'all so this is my updated review! I went during their soft open and had some notes about the pizzas that had great potential but hadn't reached ultimate pizza status yet! But they have seriously put some work in their menu and it has paid off! I went last night and ordered the Margherita, the white, and the meat pizza. All were outstanding. The crust was chewy and properly charred, and the toppings were packed with flavor. Of note was the classic Margherita which had a great tomato sauce, balanced with sweetness and acidity. The sausage on the meat pizza had just the right amount of spice. I was so so pleased to taste such an improvement! I still love the atmosphere and the downtown location. I am excited to hit this place up regularly and take out of town guests here. Praising the heavens because Provo has a neopolitan pizza joint now! Hurrah! read more

This is an awesome pizza restaurant! It's the cutest, modern restaurant where you order/pay at the counter. Service is very fast and friendly. It was a great time with friendly staff who answered all our questions about Pizza, provided recommendations for national parks, and joked around with us. Parking around the area is a bit confusing, but there are a number of options after looking around. I was expecting typical pepperoni on thin crust, but Mozz offered much more exciting flavors. While they do have traditional toppings, the ingredients were nicer quality. The pizzas had exciting unique combination of flavors but didn't try to do too much with adding random flavors. The toppings were thought out and made for a really nice balance of flavors that complemented the well cooked thin crust pizza. Never had a bad pizza here and the staff are ​as great as the food! We just took advantage of the take home dough balls to have our own at home pizza party and it was a very good time...same amazing dough but the stretching and pie creations were our own (some of us got VERY creative ). While picking up the dough (which seems a decent price for the entertainment we had) the staff mentioned the pizza making classes which apparently include showing you how to make MOZZerella. I think some of our pizza making companions from the at home session might be able to use this so that will be in our near future... 5 star, DO recommend. read more

Provo needed some fancy Italian and this has quickly become a fan favorite. The pizza combinations are unique and the flavors are fresh. They make their own dough, sauces, cheese (!!) and grown their own herbs. The pizza oven is impressive the the service is pretty fast and consistent. I have had the white, the pea pesto and a more traditional meat pizza and they were all good. However, the ones with honey are my personal favorite because the balance of savoy and sweet is very pleasant. The mock tails are also refreshing. Unless you are extraordinarily hungry, a pizza can easily serve two people. That way you can save room for some Rockwell Ice Cream. I am pretty picky about pizza but my family loved Mozz. We were going to try another pizza place in Provo, but it was super crowded so we went to Mozz instead and I am so glad that we did. I had both the honey Serrano and corn pizza and loved them both. My kids loves the cheese as well. The crust was the perfect chewyness. I've never ordered something that I didn't like from Mozz. I think that at this point I've tried every pizza on the menu. An easy go to for a weeknight or weekend for my family is 2 pizzas and at least one fresh salad. My husband's favorite is the honey serrano so we always order that and I always like to alternate the second pizza that we get. The customer service is some of the best that I've experienced in Utah County and I really appreciate the precautions that they're taking to be safe during the pandemic. The pizza was good the first time (that's why we went back) but almost inedible on our most recent visit on 1/31. To add insult to injury, our server came over to our table and told us we had been overcharged but did not offer us a price correction or anything else (complimentary dessert?) Why come tell us like it was just a done deal? We just got advice to order our pizza a different way next time (add a topping to a plain pizza instead of taking off a topping from a specialty pizza.) That would have been good info to have while we were ordering and paying, but mistakes do happen. The trick is -- when a mistake is caught, it's basic courtesy to make it right. That makes customers want to leave you good reviews and come back to your business. If the pizza had been really tasty, this wouldn't have been a big deal. It was probably a couple of dollars. But they also got the sauce wrong (extremely salty, no sweetness at all) and it just made the pizza a salt bomb. Great crust... great salad... everything else unfortunately was a fail for us this time. I hope this review is helpful for the staff and for customers as well. This felt like the twilight zone. We walked in around 8:20 on a Friday (they close at 9). We walked up the to cash register and the worker girl audibly sighed when she saw us. She said, "Um, just so you guys know, it's going to be about a 45 minute wait," and then she walked away. This was confusing because it's a place where you order right when you walk in and then take a number and sit down. My gf and I looked at each other confused--did she mean 45 minutes to take our order or 45 minutes to make the pizza? Anyway, we stood there for about 30 minutes waiting for her to take our order. She told us they were understaffed, but they had at least 6 people working in the kitchen, 8 towards the end (the kitchen couldn't have held more people). While we were waiting for her to take our orders, two additional groups of people walked in and were waiting in line, as well as two people picking up to go orders. There were also at least 15 other people waiting for their food, looking around confused. Finally, after about 30 minutes of waiting, the girl turned to the lady working the oven (seems like she was the manager) and said, "What should I do with these people in line?" pointing to us. The manager said, "Cut it off, tell the new people (the ones who came in behind us) we can't serve them." My gf and I couldn't believe it. These people behind us had been waiting for at least 15 minutes. And we could all hear this exchange; we were all standing right there as they talked about us. So the girl turned back around and said, "Sorry, we can only serve this first couple; the rest of you will have to leave." After the other people left, and after we put in our order, we went and sat down. There was another couple at a table next to us looking bewildered. I said, "Have you been waiting a while?" She said, "We ordered our pizza 50 minutes ago and are still waiting." Lol Finally our food came. We ordered two salads and two pizzas. When I went to get forks, there was one fork in the container, and it had cheese stuck to the part that goes in your mouth. I asked the salad lady if there were any forks. She picked up the dirty fork and said, "We have this one," and she tried to hand it to me. I said, "Uh, that one is dirty." She looked at me like she was helpless, as if I had the solution. I said, "Do you have plastic forks?" She said she did, and she PUT THE DIRTY FORK BACK IN THE CONTAINER for the next sorry sap I suppose. Honestly the whole experience was out of this world bad. The food is yum, but the workers were honestly entirely incompetent and rude--except for this younger gal who came over and made sure we were doing alright (she seemed embarrassed by the situation). Honestly I think most of the people working must have been stoned. They were moving in slow motion. People were waiting forever and these people were the slowest pizza makers ever. I was watching and it took this person like 4 minutes to put sauce and toppings on the dough. I thought, "Holy hell, I could have made 5 pizzas while she made 1." Also, the salad person, lol, hilarious--aside from the dirty fork, she would make one salad in about 5 minutes and then slowly walk the salad out to the customer and then come back, rest, look around, and then make another salad. Keep in mind that this place only has TWO salads! Lol, she could have been making and delivering multiple salads at the same time. Anyway.
