Popped over here with my family for an early birthday dinner, and immediately fell in love with how cute this restaurant is. You can easily see the giant wood-fired oven proudly sitting in the kitchen, and the little art gallery in the back is a unique feature. While the restaurant isn't large by any means, it somehow manages to fit everyone in every time I have come. For our order, we got the Sopressa, White, and Cauliflower pizza. We even splurged and got some sodas (they have Tractor sodas which are Organic and amazing). All three came out very quickly, and my kids absolutely devoured them. Now, don't get me wrong, both my husband and I were very impressed with the quality of the food, but the fact that my kids also were unable to stop themselves from eating as many slices as their stomachs could handle let's you know this, is a special place. My first words after eating here: WOW. I loved the whole experience of eating at Mozz. When we got to the front to order, we asked the employee what they recommended. We talked a bit and she told us hands down that we should get the serrano and honey pizza, so we went with it! Upon first bite, I got a good sized piece of serrano and my mouth was a little bit on fire.. I was scared for the rest of the pizza. I don't know if I just sucked up the pain, or if that first bite was just spicier than the rest, but my mouth was no longer on fire for the rest of the pizza. And I LOVED the pizza. It was so delicious and I cannot wait to go back and try the other unique pizzas they have on their menu. I also love the vibes of the restaurant. Mozz is definitely worth checking out if you are in the Provo area! I tried the white pizza and chocolate chip cookie. I have a wheat sensitivity, not celiac, and I didn't react to the sourdough! It was seriously all incredible. The chocolate chip cookie was the best I've ever had! The restaurant itself is super cute and trendy and feels upscale to dine in. It's right along the main road, so just be aware that parking is hard to find and you might have to take a little walk to get there. Worth it though! read more

Love the aesthetics at this place! It is so clean and is so chic! The place is beautifully set up with real flowers on each table as well. The customer service was also fast and friendly. We were offered free drink/cookie coupons for our next visit. Overall, the pizzas were very thin and not very filling. Nonetheless, I could definitely taste the freshness of the ingredients put on the pizzas. The selections were also very unique! The only issue is that the pizzas are quite expensive, averaging around $13 for one. read more

Greetings Utah and welcome to my review of Mozz! Anyone that follows my reviews knows I spend a lot of time eating Tacos, but as much as I enjoy them, I also have a passion for Pizza. I have eaten more Pizza in my lifetime compared to Tacos primarily because finding good Tacos in the NY metro area was difficult. That said, the NJ /NY area has the best pizza in the world and I have tried it across the US and Europe. Unfortunately thus far in my Utah journey, the pizza is not too good, sorry! The issue is it's all fast food, conveyer belt canned sauce. For that reason I make my own Pizza with homemade dough, sauce, Italian mozzarella and bottled water, replicas of of Bruno's Round and Sicilian in New Jersey voted one of the top 100 in the country. Ok, sorry for the long read so here it goes! Got to Mozz on a Thursday around 5:30 and parking was tuff, bunch of hammerheads taking up two spots and had to drive around the block and street park. We arrived at the perfect time, only one family ahead of us. Ordered Sausage and Mushroom Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza, with tax and tip, $40, no drinks. The inside is appealing and the staff friendly, ordered quickly, off to a nice start! I found this place when I read an article on the web of great pizza and checked the Yelp rating which was 4.5. Now this place has a wood fueled oven and that produces a different kind of pie from a traditional oven and certainly better than a conveyor belt! The place was quickly filling up and suspect they do a good lunch business based upon the area. I have read Yelp reviews of people complaining about the burnt crust but hey, not bad, we liked it and expected it from the type oven used. The sausage was interesting, not the type of Italian I'm used to, but being different was good, nice spicy flavor. Mushroom was ok, I prefer button type for the flavor. The pepperoni pizza was also good with no taste it later experience. I read in prior reviews folks did not like the sauce and I must agree although it was hard to experience with sausage or pepperoni masking the flavor and while it did not ruin the experience there is work to be done on the recipe. Now compared to other pizza here in Utah, this was better than the rest but still only a 3.5 for the following factors, 1: sauce, 2: staff not wearing hair nets or hats (except one guy) and 3: no one wearing gloves including the pie cutter person. I have worked in the industry as a head chef cooking for groups up to 150 and at home. I have a food safety certification and I wear gloves and a hat when I cook, it's the standard in the food industry, period. No pictures as there are plenty for this place already. From a price perspective it's more expensive than others here in Utah, For reference, in Jersey a large round is under 20.00 and feeds 2 people. A Sicilian pie is 23.00 and feeds 3-4 and I can say the economics in Jersey are 30 percent higher. read more

Being from New Jersey my pizza expectations were high, but Mozz did not disappoint. I went with a group of friends and we decided to split a bunch of different pizzas. The corn pizza was really interesting and different. I definitely enjoyed it but it didn't satisfy my pizza craving. The hot honey pizza was amazing as well but you have to like spicy to enjoy it. The margherita pizza was really good and an easy fan favorite. The soppressa pizza we got was okay, but not as good as the others. I recommend skipping the meat lovers pizza it wasn't that great. One of my friends also ordered the half Caesar salad that was really yummy and a decent sized portion. read more

Used to be THE BEST! Now must of changed owners or something they switched the pepperoni to some cheap mountain Mike's version smh. They should have kept what they had before it was amazing. I went here for the first time with a few of my friends, and it was such good pizza. It's cooked in a wood fire oven, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. They source their ingredients from local vendors, and you can really taste the freshness. Even though when we went it was averagely busy, we got our food pretty fast. I had the margarita pizza, and it was very good. I think margarita pizza is a classic, and they did it very well. I also had a Caesar salad which had crispy speck on it and the dressing was delicious. It wasn't too fishy of a Caesar dressing so it was perfect for me. My friend got the sweet corn pizza, and honestly it was really good. I wouldn't think to base a pizza off of corn, but it worked really well too. I would definitely go back! read more

4.5* Stopped by Mozz on a date night with my wife. There are a lot of wood fired pizza places in the area, so there is some competition. Based on other reviews, we ordered the serrano honey pizza to split with a caesar salad. They also offer an assortment of taproot sodas on tap (self serve), so I got a drink and tried the various flavors. The serrano honey pizza was fantastic. I love honey on pizza, and the salami and serrano peppers offered just the right amount of heat to make it kick (though it was a bit spicy for my wife). The crust was exactly what you want from a wood-fired pizza, just the right balance of crispness with a little char. Next time I would like to try a little arugula to give it a little more freshness. The salad was just fine. It was a lot of leaves with little chicken and thin sliced parmesan, and the dressing was pretty unremarkable. Not bad, just conventional. Service was good, though nothing special. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because it was a bit expensive and there is a lot of very good wood-fired pizza in the area. read more

People love Mozz and I had been once and had been disappointed by overcooked crust and high prices. I decided to give it another shot and I am glad that I did because I loved their cauliflower pizza - creamy, lovely crust, and lucious roasted cauliflower flavor. I really enjoyed their green salad with delicate, locally sourced butter lettuce and tangy pickled beets even though I thought it was small for the price. But I am now ADDICTED to their chocolate cookies. Better than crumbl and perfect with a salted top. So hard to pick a favorite among the three, they all felt so balanced and thoughtful, it would be difficult not to get them if I'm in town again. I took off a star for 2 reason, 1. My friend found a massive salt chunk in his cookie (which are normally worth the buy) and 2. The price is pricey and you can find cheaper places. I got the honey and Serrano pizza and it was amazing. If you love a balance of different flavors that may not normally be seen together then this is the pizza for you. I loved it! When I came to MOZZ I was not expecting to like their pizza THIS much. The thin thin crust with the perfectly beautiful char and the unique ingredient combinations was refreshing. I was every meaning of the words: blown-away. I can't even choose a favorite. The cauliflower pizza was probably number one. The sauce elevated the vegetables which instantly made it impossible to resist. The potato actually has super thin slices of red potato so you barely know you're eating potatoes. I LOVED the Serrano & Honey A drizzle of honey on that spicy meat is a match made in paradise. My first review was a little too colorful, so I'll give this a second go... Owner seems like a delightful human. Ambiance is pretty cool, service was ok (it was pretty busy), food tasted like spoiled pig meat over an ok homemade pizza. Had the Sopressa pizza, and it should come with a warning. I've had my share of sopressa, but none that tasted as foul as this. The chopped garlic in the pizza was surprisingly flavorless. The sauce was bland and tasted like runny tomato sauce. The garlic bread was pretty decent, and I'd recommend at least trying that. The crust wasn't bad either, but the sopressa, OH THE SOPRESSA! The food is way overpriced for what you get in quality taste. Overall, if you feel your food magically tastes better, and are into picking a place because it emphasizes non-GMO, "honest", organic, or whatever food fad is in at the time, then this is probably a place you'd like. I was a lIttle bit underwhelmed by the soppressata pizza. It didn't have a very satisfying flavor. Maybe my expectations were high because I absolutely love all kinds of salami. It was also 14 bucks for a very non-filling pizza. Don't get me wrong, it was a good pizza, but I've just had better. The bottom of the pizza was a little too burned for me too. I definitely want to come back and try the other pizzas because they sounds like they could be really good and I've heard a lot of good things about this place. Really cool vibe and atmosphere here. Everyone is really nice and everything is very clean. Service is great, the presentation of the food is great, but it just wasn't the best pizza. I've been wanting to go to Mozz Pizza for a long time now. My husband and I finally went for our anniversary. It's not a fancy place but we've heard great things so we had to try it out. The pizza was delicious! It was probably top 3 pizzas I've ever had. Now we only got cheese BUT we did get honey on top and it was a game changer. The dough was soft and yummy. The sauce might have been the best part. It had delicious flavor. (They make their own mozzarella, hence the name). We also ordered Mac and cheese, that my husband enjoyed. Unfortunately we got the soda sampler. Don't do it. It is expensive ($12) and the soda are nasty. Our favorite was the root beer, it tasted like rootbeer. The lemongrass was my next favorite but I don't think we even drank half. The others were really nasty. We will totally come back for more pizza. Provo is quite a drive for us but the pizza is worth it! Definitely a new favorite for me. read more

Seriously good pizza! We tried the pepperoni, mushroom and margherita. The best crust and margherita pizza I have EVER had. They were cooked perfectly and the cheese was delicious. Our kids loved it!
