Look. When I tell you that these are the mechanics you want in your life.. I tell no lies. I've been here three times and each time has been really special. Today I came in to get my condenser installed for my A/C and another leak was found after the installation , he ordered the part and let me leave! He said he will call me when the part comes in and he will charge me then. I know of no other mechanic who would do that. My problem with 2004 Honda Accord EX-L V6: A/C blowing but NO cold air. I made sure the fuses and relays were not the issue then realized I needed the skills of a Master Mechanic to diagnose my A/C problem. The shop promised they would check it out within 36 hours. Well, they finished the job in 2 hours! Listen, finding a mechanic with great diagnostic skills is super important for obvious reasons. Their price for the repair was super reasonable. The people who work here go above and beyond for their customers! They are not only kind of multiple levels but also show you what the faulty parts were. It is not easy to find great automotive mechanics that you can trust, charge reasonably, and that you can depend on. MP Auto Repair is the real deal. And yes...my A/C is blowing ICE COLD air now! Can you tell I love this place? One more thing, to the customers who gave this shop a 1 star for not quoting you a price over the phone without bringing in your car to inspect, how dare you! so. . this is the first review I was excited to write. You couldn't ask for better customer service. my service person was Hieu (spelling?). I went in to get some things straightened out on a used car I purchased. I did not make an appt and when I arrived there were 3 customers in front of me. luckily, I only had to wait a total of 15 min to see a mechanic. he asked for my keys so he could bring it into the garage. we walked to the garage together and he wanted me to explain what I was needing to have done. Because I had a list from Vandergriff Honda's recommended repairs, we went through each one of them while inspecting the vehicle. From the overly inflated list (15 items) the dealership gave me, there were only 4 minor things that needed to be replaced (spark plugs, belt, cabin filter, air filter). Before he replaced anything on the car he showed me what he took out and why (showing me the nastiness in the filters and the wear on the previous belt) and he also let me watch him install the new items. special treatment? I don't think so. . I'm nice looking, but I'm also 6 months pregnant and he did the same thing with my husband. This person is genuinely nice. It was so strange going to a mechanic and being able to let my guard down because they want your business. As I was waiting for them to pull my car around, the lady in the waiting room randomly said "I'll never take my car anywhere else. They have my business for life". Going to a mechanic is never an ideal situation since that means something isn't operating at 100%, but whenever I find myself in that situation, I will only come here. I can brag enough on their customer service. also, with the services I had done, the cost was right at $200. I quoted others at around $450+ (vandergriff $1435) and it only took them 2 hrs start to finish. . Great Job MP!! read more

I have had work done here before and because of their ratings online that tried them in the first place. The time I went was to have them install some after market brakes and rotors. They even showed me that the last place Installed them incorrectly. That was in 2020 I believe. This I had a constant leaking and loss of coolant but I couldn't see where it was coming from. I've been under my vehicle to change oil and filter numerous times on my 2006 Ford Expedition. They diagnosed it with a leaking water pump as well as manifold gasket. That was a lot of labor basically taking off everything on top of the engine. Cost was better than anywhere else I'm sure in labor alone...they even came early the next day to work on my vehicle and get me back up and running. If was thinking would have had change my plugs and injectors while they were in there anyway since my truck is a 2006. Bottom they have earned my trust and don't trust easily especially automotive shops! read more

Very impressed with the service, work and turnaround time on my 2004 Accord. I've had motor/transmission mount issues on and off the last few years. Apparently the previous shop modified two of the transmission mounts they replaced by cutting down the bolts to make the installation easier. It also compromised the strength and that caused them to fail. Once the mounts fail, if not replaced, they affect the other mounts. So in total, I needed two engine mounts (I had one on hand) and three transmission mounts. Every time I would accelerate, my car would make clunking sounds that I could also feel. Idle was very rough due to the metal on metal contact. The owner and his mechanics were very nice, showed me the old parts they removed and I could clearly see where the bolts were cut on two of the mounts. They used an OEM front engine mount (and it was about 25% less than I could have purchased it for) that should be more durable than the after market ones other shops have used over the years. All the work was done in a day at a very fair price. Now my engine is very smooth at idle with the a/c on, no more clunking, front end of the car feels tighter. Very happy with the service, work and prices. read more

This is the best experience I've had with a mechanic, ever. I'm used to reading reviews on yelp to get an idea of what kind of service I'll receive, but I was not expecting to be completely blown away like this. Hieu is one-of-a-kind. He is honest, polite, and hard-working. I came in for two separate issues. One was recommended by the dealership for over $1,000, to which he quickly diagnosed as being completely unnecessary. The second was noticed by a shop where I went to get an alignment, for which they wanted nearly $500. Hieu shook his head. He found us the geniune VW part, had it delivered immediately, and gave it to us at his cost, which was a fraction of what the other company wanted. Moreover, he showed us the part before putting it in, just to give us extra peace of mind that we were purchasing a genuine part. When has a mechanic ever done that? Amazing. Also, while waiting, he suggested Paula's restaurant right around the corner. Very cool. We had a lovely brunch while getting our car fixed for a fraction of what 2 other companies quoted. OMG! I went here in hopes that they would be able to replace a catalytic converter in my car. The guy informed me that this auto repair shop doesn't work on catalytic converters, but he may be able to give me some advice in order to "fix" it on my own without spending hundreds of dollars. I followed his advice, but was skeptical. Within a day, my engine light went off! I am so happy, and I can't thank the man enough for what he told me. I learned about this place originally through Yelp, and I am so happy that other Yelpers put out the good word on this business. This is a decent, honest family business. MP Auto Repair makes your bad day that much better!! I'm actually very thankful I have met these amazing people here at MP Auto. Its an honest, friendly family business that truly cares about you. I came in last Saturday with my sister's car that wouldn't start being afraid that it was bad gas from the DFW gas shortage panic. They updated me a few times EACH business day. By Monday I've learned of how much work they did testing each component of the car to diagnose what was wrong. At the end of it all it was just a bad SPARE KEY!! Wow, we put in the other key and the car started right away. Who knew that would be the cause. The mind blowing part was how honest MP Auto was. They told me what happened and charged me a fair price for the labor it took to diagnose the problem. I told them I would come in to pick up my car that same day and they were very friendly about it. Turns out life happens and I wasn't able to pick it up that day so they called me to make sure if everything was okay. I apologized and Hieu was so friendly saying no problem. I told them it was actually my sister's car and she would come to pick it up the following day (today). All around I have to say this is the dream car repair shop. This beats my favorite car repair shop when I used to live in Austin. I can say for a fact no matter where in DFW I will tow my car to MP Auto.
