Finding a quality videographer who is affordable is VERY hard, but luckily there's Michael Papilla who has amazing quality of work without making couples break their banks. My sister's wedding was back in September 2013. This was the first Indian wedding he ever did and he did a spectacular job! The quality of the highlights and feature film was exactly what we were hoping for, and I can without a doubt say that Michael's quality of work is significantly better than a lot of higher end, top videography companies! His work is clean and HD He puts a lot of heart and soul into his work and it shows. The only negative I have to say is that the videos came much, much later than they were supposed to. Timing was not on point, and that can create a frustrating situation for the bride and groom. Michael filmed our wedding on 11/18/2012 at the Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles. He and his team were easy going, very professional, and worked very well with our other vendors. The trailer was amazing as it beautifully captured all of the excitement, love, and essence of the day in only 4 minutes. As most brides can probably agree with, reviewing your wedding vendors is kind of a hit or miss. You're either super satisfied with the end product or you're upset that you didn't get your money's worth. I came to Michael in a major time crunch - my wedding was just a few short months away and my parents had made a hard decision that a videographer was completely unnecessary for the wedding. Southern California has a pretty solid market niche for South Asian Wedding Videographers. I wasn't fond of these 2-3 vendors and jumped to yelp to look for a competent videographer. South Asian weddings are daunting to say the least - from the grand venues to the massive number of people - they're definitely no easy feat. Michael paid close attention to every single detail I discussed with him - from the detailed timeline to all the important people that needed to be covered throughout the wedding. Not sure where to even start with Michael. He was the second videographer we interviewed. He was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator. She used him for her own wedding. Michael and his team at MP Wedding Films is so talented and great to work with! We booked with him and a short 10 minute phone conversation. His work was awesome, he was super nice, prices were very reasonable and I just had a good feeling about it. And he did not disappoint! Michael is very kind and easy to work with. He also responds very quickly, but he also made things so easy you really didn't need to do anything :) Day-of was so smooth. Michael and his 2nd shooter (can't remember his name, sorry) came around 1pm and began filming the getting ready/details shots. It was definitely getting a little chaotic in there but you never even noticed them. They were also both super kind and funny. Actually through out the entire wedding, I never even noticed them. They were ninjas at filming. They definitely filmed everything and then some. The videos itself turned out beautifully. I really liked that you could pick your own music, and it didn't have to be from a list of kind of random, unknown things because of copyright issues. We're a little picky with music so I loved that I could give him some of our favorites and he set the whole film to it. We received a short trailer for the wedding and about an hour long video of the whole wedding- getting ready, ceremony, speeches, dancing, guest interviews.. everything. It is so so so so worth having something like that to remember your wedding. I have a terrible memory, and it's all such a blur two days later I could barely remember a single thing from that night (and I don't drink :) ) Now we have a video to last forever. I am also from New England, so only a small portion of my family could come to our California wedding. We had a little reception back there where we were able to show the video and they all felt like they were right there with us, they got to see everything. Included in our package was a 1 minute sneak peek that he had completed within 2 days after our wedding, our 3-5 minute trailer, and a full length hour and a half video of our wedding. Michael is an amazing person to work with. As a bride, you are already stressed about a million things on your wedding day, but having Michael there honestly made me feel so comfortable, he felt like one of our own wedding guests. His work is amazing. He captures the most beautiful parts of your wedding, and all the details that you may miss because of all the craziness going on. We used MP Wedding Films for our April 2017 wedding after seeing what they produced for our friends wedding a year prior. Both videos were so beautiful and so unique to each couple, while still capturing the love and magic of the day.
