It's a clean and a decently maintained laundromat. I did not appreciate that when I was attempting to grab coins from the coin dispenser for the dryer, the owner/operator ran over and sternly asked if I was "doing laundry here". Of course, and pointed to the machines. He just said "ohh, ok thanks" and walked away. I get that you don't want people just stopping by for coins but still. Happy to go spend my money elsewhere. I was here last weekend washing for a second time as my first experience was pretty good aside from it being a little crowded. I put all my clothes in a washing machine and proceeded to put all the coins in, right as i put the full amount it decided to say it was out of service after taking my money.. I then took everything out and put in another machine which then took $0.50 I had put and the amount didn't go down.. so I decided to call the owner and he told me he would give me a refund which he did didn't and then made it seem like I didn't know how the machines work because he told me the screen is supposed to show a different amount when you enter the coins which it didn't. I had to take my clothes elsewhere as the washing machines didn't work.. still haven't gotten my refund, owner didn't answer my call when I called again to ask about my refund. First time at a laundromat in years and wow things have changed. These machines take credit cards! Super easy tap and go without dragging around rolls of quarters (of course quarters are accepted too). The facilities were well kept and my laundry came out smelling fresh and clean. On the pricier side for washes, at least from what I recall a wash used to cost at my old laundromat in L.A., but overall I was very satisfied with this establishment. Update. First time being back since it closed due to a fire. Place looks fairly the same, obviously some parts have been remodeled. The place was dirty and smelled bad. There were a couple of homeless people sitting inside, not sure if they were doing laundry but it didn't appear so. Couple of people using the machines were slamming doors and overfilling the machines with soap. It's sad to see people not care about the place and why some things break so fast cause of the misuse. If you're like me you probably don't like goin to the laundromat. I was visiting the San Fran area for an extended period of time on business and needed to do laundry several times during my stay. I found that this establishment is very clean and offered a card payment. While I thought the prices were slightly elevated, I will say that the equipment was reliable and up to date. We've been using this laundromat every once and while to take care of our bigger blankets and comforters. There are always plenty of machines available and there are tables available for folding your things. It's never been super packed, and there are usually plenty machines available mid day on the weekend. There isn't typically an attendant available on the weekends when we go, so I'm not sure who you'd contact if you had any troubles. Really appreciate that you can pay with card. So, it's a laundry mat. I mean, it's nice, clean, bright, and equipped with a sink with hand soap, ATM, and bathroom... yet, I can't get over the fact that, well, it's a Laundry Mat?! I mean it has your soap and fabric softener and fabric softener sheets dispenser. And lord behold, it's a Laundry Mat! So, besides it being a nice place for One to maturely take care of their own dirty laundry and once you wash you dry them, the place still is, you guessed right!!! A laundry mat and it's just a amazingly good one. Plenty of benches, tables, limited amount of folding/dry clothes tables and rolling laundry mat provided laundry baskets. This place's bathroom is gross cause apparently people think you can use the restroom here like they do at their homes, disgustingly and never clean up after themselves, the restrooms happen to be clean when the manager of this establishment suits up in a hazmat suit and attacks the filth of ill-mannered and horrible upbringing clients, (not everyone, but you do know who you are!) that use the laundry mat for their laundry. Either way, whenever I come, the people seem nice and well-mannered enough, but the restrooms are gross, but the hand sink being in plain site and separate makes all and any who use it, to be clean about it. My home washer is leaking so had to find a place to do laundry instead of flooding my place. I found via Yelp that this one takes credit card! I went on a Tuesday morning and it had a few other people doing laundry at that time, but there were plenty of washers to choose from. As a noob, I had no idea there were 4 different size washers! I kept moving my laundry from one to another, lol. I couldn't figure out how to use the credit card reader so I ended up using coins. There's a change machine so I felt like I hit the jackpot when I exchanged my $20 for quarters... ding..ding..ding. The whole wash took about 21 minutes total and I was out. Always nice and clean, never really crowded unless you come on a weekend. Been coming here for years and never had a problem. If a machine ate my dollar I'd fill out a form and get it back via check the next week. Highly recommended this place for those who don't have their own washer and dryer. Oh! Positively it was clean and had WiFi. The down side is the sub standard equipment. When a extra large machine is $9 per wash and the rinse cycle doesn't work, you have to pay $18 to get the soap out. This can become costly for 1 load of laundry just to wash. Then there are dryers that don't work.... with $0.25 per minute and a maximum of 5 minutes it can take forever to get heavy fabric dry. Also, don't be confused when the dryer says "high" that's not temperature, it's 5 minutes truly disappointing. read more

My laziness is well documented. We all know by now that even though I have a full sized washer and dryer in my unit I send my laundry out. Lets face it, this is a huge time saver and the added bonus of my friendly laundry service not only washes but folds as well. Take away the folding and I would take my business elsewhere or do it myself. The other extreme is, there are times I actually need to wash my clothes myself. But more often than not I head to the Laundromat. Yes, I am serious. I do have a valid reason for this. Just hear me out. See, when I have an emergency load of laundry and my fluff and fold is closed or my load is actually less than a full load usually these are times when I have whites and colored clothes. This would mean that washing at home would take twice as long. To remedy this I head down to Bubbles Laundromat and get busy. This place is literally around the corner from my house and is less than a three-minute walk from the front door of my building (2 minutes if I cut through the Valero gas station). There is free wifi so I can continue to read Bubbles reviews while sitting at Bubbles. They also have vending machines that are stocked with multiple brands of washing detergent and a wide range of bleaches. The washers here seem to be slightly bigger than mine, but the total run time seems to be a little longer. But when utilizing two different washers at the same time it all comes out in the wash. And considering this is a place where one comes to clean things, this place is in need of it's own cleaning. But seeing that this place is always busy and open for hours on end, I can see where this would be no easy task. This Bubbles is not nearly as hot as my Bubbles, but it is reliable and always there when I am in need. 5 Stars for my Bubbles 3.85 Stars for this Bubbles read more

If you have to do laundry (and who doesn't?), Mrs. Bubbles is the place. Clean and cheerful, free wi-fi, big machines so you can get in and out quickly. The Ramen Club next door is recommended if washing your clothes makes you hungry. If you don't feel like Ramen, check out the cheesesteak shop. Their hours mean it doesn't matter whether you're an early bird, a night owl, or a "throw in a load over lunchtime" kind of person. Open on holidays, too. Clean, Convenient, Expensive.. On the positive side, the facility and equipment are clean, which has to be most important. They have a lot of washers and dryers so you shouldn't have a problem getting a machine. They are open pretty late (I believe midnight) Also, there are a few restaurants next door so you can grab a bite while you wait. On the downside, they are expensive! Washing loads start at $2 and go up to $4 depending on the machine. Expect to feed a lot of money in the dryer as a Saint Bernard is more likely to dry faster on a humid day in Florida than these dryers. read more

The benches in the place need a thorough washing. My DH came here once and was told to keep an eye on his laundry as there are transients that will steal from unattended machines. I never had this problem. It is what it is--a neighborhood laundromat that serves it's purpose which is to wash and sanitize my linens since they are too big to fit in the apartment's machines. PS--free wifi with a pretty strong signal as I am using it from the comfort of my car. read more

There's this really sketchy little shopping center in San Mateo on Delaware and... third or fourth I think? The one with the 7-11 and the only Starbucks I've heard of in recent history that went out of business. That's where I used to do my laundry when I needed the oversized washers for carpets, sleeping bags, etc. I HATED going there! It was dirty, smelled bad, and had machines that swallowed quarters and then you had to try and find somebody to give you a refund of call a number up on the wall that connected you with some surly ruffian. It also seemed like people were constantly looking at my laundry just waiting for me to leave so that they could do something weird to it. The Bubbles family laundry is in a much mellower, nicer part of town near Burlingame. I sure wished I still like eating at Ramen Club because it's right next door! Ah, but that's something for another post. Bubbles is clean and well-organized with room to move around and a nice fresh breeze coming in. It doesn't feel like you're stuffed into somebody's warm, pungent armpit like a lot of the other local laundries. I feel comfortable hanging out there and reading a book without having to keep an eye on anything or anybody. I'm only docking it a star because of the seating which is borderline torture! They're these little wooden slat seats that basically turn your butt into a speed bump if you sit on them too long. I usually end up going outside and sitting in my car to wait for the laundry to get done. read more

This place is a pleasant place to go do laundry... all the machines are pretty clean and they all work and my fellow laundroliers are pretty respectful... I go on sunday mornings and it's usually pretty busy, but I get my clothes washed and I get my clothes dried... and that's that... oh yeah.. they have free wireless internet if you want to bring your laptop while you wait... and the hours are pretty cool... I think it's 5 AM to midnight everyday.. I did my laundry on friday night a couple times... it's right next to this popular ramen place... I put my laundry in, and then went to the ramen place and stood in line w/ all the people waiting to get their ramen... even tho I had no intention of getting ramen then.... it seemed like the cool thing to do. read more

I loooove this self-service laundromat for three main reasons: 1. Always super-clean and stocked with hand soap and paper towel (*and toilet paper in the restroom); 2. Free dsl and wireless; 3. they actually dispense ten dollar bills from their ATM machine! Seriously, I could feel safe sitting in the waiting seats, touching the machines/door handles and folding my clothes on the tabletop surfaces! It's well-lit and very quaint (the wall painting has personal touches galore with stencils and texture). The machines appear to be very well-maintained (every time I peek at the inner top lining of the single load washing machines, they're pretty impeccably clean). It's also conveniently located beside some cool restaurants (always busy Ramen Club and Philly Cheese steak). Oh, and most importantly, they have awesome business hours: 5a.m. - 12 midnight, every night! *And, they just recently added recycling bins for customers - how politically correct, and convenient! read more

Stars are a rating of the facilities and cliental. Facilities - NO WIFI. I know it says so on their website, but there is NO WIFI. Minus one star. Place is clean, prices are reasonable. I do laundry maybe once a month. I used the big daddy $8 washer and three smaller $2.50 washers. Still cheaper than wash and fold. Will be interesting to see if I can get this all done for less than $20. I really felt like I had to watch my stuff here. I lived in SF for years and never stayed at the Laundry place, here it is a bit different. I know this is Burlingame, but I kept my bags close to me, and kept looking over my shoulder. I came on a Thursday, around 11:30am and the place was busy. I don't know if I will be back, probably want to try a few more places before I pick. Went there for the first time after living in Burlingame for 7 months, the washer at my apartment building was having problem and it ate 5 precious quarters of my roommate's, therefore we decided to check out that laundromats. The place is really clean! Much better than I expected, it is conveniently located 1 block away from my house, so I walked back and forth 3 times instead of waiting for my clothes, I didn't know they have free wireless internet!! One extra star for that! It is a little expensive, 2 dollars per load, and 25 cents for every 7 mins in the dryer, but the machines seem to be more powerful than the ones in my apartment, so i guess it was worth it. read more

Great place that is open until MIDNIGHT!!!! There is ATM (though I don't know how much the surcharge can be), as well as 2 quarter machines, a DSL internet hookup in addition to wireless internet, and lots of nice, big washers and driers everywhere. These huge machines can take the biggest blankets. The decor is cute and they did make an effort to make it look presentable. KKSF smooth jazz is on the radio and can be heard over the machines running. Only thing I want to complain about is that people don't throw their trash away and I slipped several times on used drier sheets. If there were more trash cans, this wouldn't be a problem. read more
