Large industrial dryers (equivalent to 5 loads) at $0.25 for 5 minutes. -Another plus is there's parking in the large plaza parking lot but you may not get a spot next to the laundry mat. -it's clean. I guess my problem is wanting a strange thing instead of the usual thing. If I had just had clothes I wanted cleaned, it might have done okay. I had a 35-pound bundle of #4 canvas, and I wanted to pre-shrink it before I started my project. But my home machine isn't big enough, so I went to a laundromat to get it done. I looked up and down and while there were several different sizes of machines available, there was no indication of which ones could handle a 35-pound piece of cloth. They said things like 4x and 6x et cetera but gave no hint, in pounds or kilograms, of the base unit that they were four or six of. Eventually I decided that having more room available to expose the fabric to the hot water would be good, so I put it in the biggest size machine, selected the hottest wash cycle, paid my ten bucks, and started it up. To shrink fabric, I wanted a long, boiling-hot, violent wash. What I got was 20 minutes, not even violent enough to unfold the fabric, and while there was water sloshing around it was never fully immersed. My fabric came out cool and damp, and water hadn't even penetrated to the middle of the still-folded bundle. I was pretty disappointed, and at this point I had no real hope that their dryer would do any better, so I took it back to the car, drove it home, and hung it out on a wire to dry. So... If you have articles of clothing you don't want damaged, and a gentle lukewarm wash is enough, this is your place. For what I wanted to do it was the wrong place. read more

I have never written a Yelp review in my life. However; the appalling behavior I saw today was compelling enough for me to write one today. This place deserves 0 stars. I went to this laundromat to get some bigger items washed and as my boyfriend and I were doing our laundry, I saw this Hispanic couple go and ask for help with one of the machines. An older, caucasian male employee comes out and pretty much starts lecturing them and condescendingly start saying how they, "Need to learn to read" "These machines are brand new, pay attention and learn to read" -- as the Hispanic man tries to tell him that they know how to use the machine, the employee interrupts him and raises his voice and says, "I am telling you how to use the machine because you clearly do not know how to read". The employee's behavior was extremely rude and he had no right to yell at them for simply asking for assistance. The employee then decides TO GO AROUND THE LAUNDROMAT AND TELL EVERYONE that the couple needs to "learn to read" "learn to speak English" "need to get an education" and just goes on and on trying to embarrass them! This is when my boyfriend and I had enough and we confronted the employee and told him that he was being extremely rude, condescending, and had no right to speak to ANYONE like that. He proceeds to tell me that "they need to learn to speak English, get educated, and learn to read. I am trying to help them". I respond back and tell him that they way he is going about it is is completely rude and I continue to talk over him because he refuses to listen to me or my boyfriend. He then tells me "You can't judge me" to which I respond "I can and I did". He then goes back around the laundromat and CONTINUES to tell the other people doing their laundry there about the Hispanic couple and proceeds to talk about my boyfriend and I. Are these the kind of employees and establishment that you want to continue to support? Such a shame. read more

It's about what you'd expect from a self service coin laundry. They basically all look like they were built or last renovated when Disco was king, and like every laundromat, the dryers just barely work. Beware that some of the washing machines have the hot and cold water reversed, like I discovered with one of the triple load machines today when washing my wool flokati rug. Seems like a thing you might check to make sure it's right if supplying washing machines is literally your job. read more

I live close to norfolk in San Mateo and this place is pretty much always packed. They are best priced out of all the Laundry Mats we have around this area. I even have one right next to my house but i prefer to make the drive out here because they are better priced and the owners are always there looking after the place making sure it is clean. They even stay late in closing for you to finish up your washing which is very nice because I'm so busy and only get time to wash clothes really late. read more

I wash clothes here often. I like it not because it's modern, it's not. Not because it's easy to park (I have an RV) so it's not. Not because the machines are new, they weren't when I started coming here but most of them are now. It's only marginally less expensive than the all night laundry that's on the other side of the shopping center. Not because it's comfortable, it's not. I like this place for a reason that doesn't even exist anymore. Because a former Seabee was the maintainence guy and caretaker. He served in Korea and Vietnam. That's good enough for me. I was part of the service that gave him a ride to where the real job was. We got to leave. He didn't till the job was done. I haven't seen him in a while and I fear the worst. I didn't want to ask the guy I have seen since then because I didn't want to hear bad news that day. I'll ask eventyallly. I kind of hope I'll hear that he won the lottery, but that's not necessarily a good thing statistically. I will continue to do laundry here in any event in honor of his service to a largely unappreciative country. read more

Runs 2.50 for standard washers, the usual .25 per 5 min of dryer. Several clothes carts and 3 folding tables available. Washers are kept running, and if one stops working they are quick to address the issue or put up a sign. Place is clean, WiFi always works. Generally quiet (running squealing kids are not uncommon during busy hours). Washers have a strong spin and get the clothes dryer than other laundromats in the area. Biggest complaint is about the clientele not the business. They consistently put too much detergent in the machines and suds them up, causing the staff to have to fix and reset machines. Every time I'm in there I see people dumping detergent into those very expensive HE machines like they are pouring coffee in a mug. They don't measure; and no manner of yelling nor explaining from the staff works on them. New Latin market in the same strip mall for quick shopping. read more

This place sucks. I did one full load of only sheets and the washer didn't spin fully so when my cycle was finished all my laundry was still soaked! And then I put it in the dryer for 45 min and when that was finished my brand new $60 white sheets had burn marks all over them! I've been doing laundry my whole life and this has never happened to me before. Obviously they have some problems with their machines. They don't even deserve one star. read more

The second cycle rinses are never filled with enough water or ever at all. For some reason my laundry do not wash as well. I don't recommend this place although it is cheap, I'd rather spend a few cents more for better washing and with sufficient water usage. read more

I went here because a YELP review said it was CLEAN & cheap & had free WiFi. First of all, It looks almost nothing like the picture (inside); its dirty & cramped inside. There are 2 uncomfortable chairs to sit on, but I couldn't connect to WiFi. Most of the customers had like 3-4 plastic bags of laundry; I was able to squeeze my wash into one of the small $3.25 washers before anyone else could snag the last one! Unsupervised kids were running around swinging socks in the air & shoelaces they found on the ground where I was seated and kids pushing laundry carts into customers (myself included). I finally went outside to get some peace and sat in my car to work on a crossword (it reeked outside near the laundrymat like someone was using the alley way as a personal toilet! Unsupervised rugrats were running around crying & screaming outside also! There were not enough folding tables inside the laundrymat so someone dragged in a bench from outside. I was surprised that my clothes came out of the washer quickly & pretty clean and fresh! The dryers, however, are .25 cents for 5 minutes. I put in a 3 quarters on HIGH, my clothes were still damp so I added another .25, but when I took them out some were still damp! Rather than add MORE money, I packed up my damp laundry & left...just as a parent w/ 3 kids came in with 6 black plastic bags! This place is depressing & dirty; loud & smelly. There are many better places to clean your clothes, get them completely dry, save your sanity and make the chore somewhat enjoyable for the SAME PRICE. I'm sorry but the best word to describe 'Shoreview Wash N Dry is 'ghetto', I won't be going back. read more
