For all the restaurants in this center, in my opinion, Fennel is the best dining option if you want a sit down restaurant. Everything I've ordered thus far has been excellent, fresh, tasty, never dry. The service has always been extremely accommodating and the one time I've been disappointed in my original order selling out and having to wait too long for the final dish, they went out of their way to make sure I was given extra fries (which are excellent) and extra things to dip my heaping scoop of hummus into. Don't skip the cocktails, or really any of their handmade drinks. I cannot not get a cardamom latte at brunch, and it's so fun picking which cocktail to get to unwind with whatever dinner entree I go with (usually the salmon bowl). They have large tables so larger groups are welcome. I always see corporate type people having working lunches here, or families out for a nice dinner. This place is almost always quite full, but I still feel like they are slept on and under appreciated.

She left the register and came and stood right in front of us a few feet away. While my sister was making her selection I just stood there and made direct eye contact with her to make her just as uncomfortable as she was making me. She eventually turned and walked away. Honestly it was WEIRD. So weird a part of me wanted to leave without my food because why would I buy things from a place where the staff is making me feel like I shouldn't be there or I'm a threat ? The ambiance outside has been quiet & relaxing, which I like. I wish they'd open another location closer to me, so I could go more often. The one in Hawthorne, is the closest, but still too far away. I wish they'd open another would open one in Torrance, Redondo Beach, or Palos Verdes, CA.

She came back with sweet potato fries. No napkins, no knife. After trying to flag someone down again for several minutes, I again had to get up and go to the hostess and ask for a knife and napkins, she said she would go get them and we never saw her again. I took silverware off a table inside. No one ever came to get plates so our table was completely full and difficult to work around. No one was around to flag down to ask for plates to be removed. The service was so bad a man at the table next to me asked if I was using my fork and if he could have it because he also was unable to get someone's attention to get items needed.

Fruits and vegetables have very competitive pricing compared to places like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market, which is rare. Usually you get either "interesting selection" or "good prices," not both. Jordan's on my regular rotation grocery run rotation now. If you're nearby and want European or Middle Eastern groceries without dealing with a run-down spots that smell like rotten meat - give it a try.

I froze them, and when my son heated one up, the broth tasted and smelled like plastic. We opened another, hoping it was a fluke, but it was the same. We ended up throwing all eight bowls away. The second time, we bought a case of coconuts with the pop-top style opening. Which was new for us. After refrigerating them, we tried one -- same issue. It had a stale, plastic-like taste. We opened another a few days later, and it was no different. We planned to return them, but got busy, and now they'll likely end up in the trash too. After two separate experiences like this, I can't afford or justify coming back. Very disappointing.
