The initial dropoff was a bit confusing as there is limited parking space however we found an unmarked area in the middle of the street for dropoffs. Once we got inside the shop, the rest was easy. The shop had a lowkey vibe and theres a separate waiting room. We were surprised when we received an email confirmation that they were done as we had just sat down for lunch nearby. It's like right in what I would call "old towne" Laytonsville (though I'm not really certain that's a thing). But yes, gas prices are really good here, and the pumps are always all working. I dropped my vehicle off and immediately received a text with a list of "issues" that needed to be fixed. I agreed for them to do the work although my main concern was the check engine light. I left my vehicle at the shop for 2 days. When I picked my vehicle up, I paid over $2.5K and was assured that in addition to the other "issues", the check engine light issue was resolved. A week later, the check engine light came back on. I took the vehicle back and left it for a day. I was again assured that the issue was resolved and was "only" charged for a part that was replaced, but not labor. Great! Today, the check engine light is back on. Unfortunately , I will not be contacting this shop to "fix" it for a THIRD time. The staff is fairly friendly so they'd likely be willing to look at it again; however, I cannot trust that they will finally fix the issue nor can I continue to spend my time and $ there. I have gotten the vehicle scanned elsewhere and it is giving the SAME CODE as the original and that the shop claimed they fixed TWICE. I was also told by another mechanic that this should have been a fairly easy and minor fix had it been diagnosed properly the first time around. Very unfortunate that I can no longer recommend this shop due to lack of reliability and/or expertise.

When we take a car to RAC to be serviced, we know the work will be completed properly to maintain the car in top condition. We have never had to take a car back for a re-do Each visit, RAC does a full inspection of the vehicle and tells us what work is necessary and what issues need to be monitored for future consideration, They never recommend work which is not necessary at the time the vehicle is brought in for service. And although not required, the staff loves my wifes "goodie" package as extra compensation for a job well done!

I suggest bringing a ride if you can - easiest place to park is to turn to the right immediately after entering the lot and parking on the side, and then walking to the garage.
