I say double check everything after they work on your car. Sometimes they forget to tighten screws and bolts and caps. It happened to me a few times already. I'm driving the car and I'm life is on the line. Can't trust them 100%. I mean it is a decent spot, nice guys, and a decent price but the work makes me worry. I've now had service with this auto shop 2 times. First time I had a brake replacement and transmission fluid change, and they even checked my suspension (which the dealership told me needed replacing even though it had been replaced not so long ago) . I respected that they did not upcharge after my quote, I paid exactly what my quote was. Other autoshops seemed to want more and their quotes were just the minimum price. I followed up on Thursday 11/13/25 with a phone call since I still hadn't received a response online. They said they weren't interested in working on a Fiat so they just didn't respond. Total was about ~90, which was reasonable. I showed up super early, hoping they can squeeze me in last minute.... And guess what? They did! My second time using MR Auto, this time for a failed rear brake caliper. Both times I've used them, they quoted a "worst case" price (that was very competitive), then the actual work came in well below the quote. I doubt this will happen every time going forward, but I have never received so much honesty before, during and after the work was done. The main difference is that MR Auto won't install parts that aren't needed, even if they are listed on the quote. In the case of my failed caliper, they were able to reuse the pads simply by sanding off some glazing caused by the failed caliper. I can't count the times my dealership service department replaced "marginal" parts "just to be safe". Now, the dealer may have a higher standard of performance, a greater aversion to risk, and a larger need to grab every dollar possible, but now that my car is older, I don't think the dealer can provide what I need. For example, dealers can't install rebuilt parts, only new, which is certainly overkill for things like brake calipers on an older car! I've decided MR Auto will get all the future work on my car.
