i visited 2 hours before closing on a sunday, and i was a bit disappointed with the lack of selection of pastries. more than half of their shelves were empty - i had visited a different location 30 minutes before closing and they seemed fully stocked. i'm assuming it depends on the location and how busy they are, but it was still disappointing to see that. despite that, we still bought good pastries and 2 drinks. the mango green tea was super refreshing and the vietnamese coffee was strong! (note: you cannot substitute for oat milk for the vietnamese coffee as it is pre-mixed with condensed milk). the location itself is super spacious and had some seating. they also have restrooms, which is nice if you're planning on chilling at the cafe for a longer time.

WONDERFUL ASIAN-INSPIRED TREATS & COFFEE w/ lackluster service. So, my family and I decided to stop by to pick up some "mooncakes" that were being advertised on social media, they weren't really moon cakes, more like buns in disguise. I mean, they were really good but I don't like false advertising. Other than the "mooncakes", I ordered a brown sugar oatmilk latte and a cruffin, Both were absolutely fantastic and some of the best items I've gotten at an 85 franchise. The CONS: My BIG issue was concerning the packaging of the bread, the crew didn't package the bread right because the wrapping was coming off of some items and/or wasn't properly sealed, this was across the board. Buns, Cruffins, etc. some of the items were exposed and powder was literally flying out and on the shelves. It wasn't sanitary! The 85 team wasn't very responsive, one girl was restocking bread items on the shelves while ignoring customers with questions. She wasn't even doing a great job because a lot of the shelves were empty when my family and I stepped in, she could've assisted my parents AND handled the messy packing situation.
I love this place so many options. We always stop by to try new breads and cakes. Nice service. Nice ambiance.
Love their strawberry matcha latte and maple danish. The only improvement I would like to see is hotter wait times and more stocked products. The dine in area is very chill and gets filled up pretty quickly.
We often visit family in MoVal over the years and we are so happy there is an 85 now here! We went gaga and bought a bunch of yummy pastries and a decaf mocha. The cashier was very nice and friendly. There's seating on one half of the space and pastries on the other half. The seating area could use a bit of tidying up, but all in all, everything was delicious! Will definitely return when we're in town!
I came in here with the intentions of grabbing a quick smoothie but their smoothie selection is very limited at this location. I wanted one without strawberry so I asked the cashier who didn't understand my request so the person who makes the smoothies came over and said "what does she want?" And then told me she couldn't make it without strawberry. So I ended up getting a mango green iced tea which was good and of course a slice of cake! They have tons of fresh pastries available.

As with your typical 85 degree bakery, varieties of sweet goodies surround you. If you've never been to 85, think of it as an Asian panaderia with sweets from bread, cakes, sandwiches even, and teas. Service- only one cashier was open for the long line. I've finally got called when another cashier opened up her resister and it was a breeze from there. However, my sister ordered Thai tea and we waited over 10 minutes. Turns out, they make your drinks and don't bother calling out your order. They placed it on a low counter to the opposite end of the cashier so it wasn't easy to see. We noticed a worker making a drink and then just left so that's what prompted us to check.
Okay now!! MoVal with the 85°C Bakery Cafe come up!! I stopped in after the UYE to finally check it out. I was hoping they were fully stocked, but when I arrived around 4 p.m., they had already run out of a few items. They have 2 kiosks right when you enter the double doors, where you can order and pay for drinks only if you're not getting any pastries. I've not seen that at other locations, so I paid for my drink there, but I still had to fall in line to pay for my other items. I blame the heat on that, I was parched and tired, and I just needed a quick pick me up to finish my drive home. I got the Mango Matcha Latte with Oatmilk and Boba, of course. It started off tasting great, but as I got close to finishing it, it just tasted watered down. I did like the small chunks of real mango, though. I grabbed a variety of pastries, but they ran out of the box of mochi custard thingies. Oh well, I'll try to catch them next time. The line moved fast with only 2 cashiers, so I think they have worked out the kinks since their grand opening. They ask if you want a box or bag, but I usually get the box if I get more than 3 pieces, so they won't get smashed in transport. This location is nice and open, with a good-sized dining area, although I feel like they could fit another row of tables and chairs. You'll need to ask for the code to use the restrooms (not RON-worthy, btw). I am waiting patiently for the Temecula location to open, but in the meantime, I'll be coming here if I get the itch. Thanks to the staff for the quick and friendly service! You'll see me again for sure!
If you know this growing chain, then there'll be no surprises inside except for the unbearably warm interior and depleted selection. The parking is highly competitive and not well thought out. However, if they have what you want, great! They're as consistent as any other location.
I needed to pick up a cake and some sweets which my original destination was closed for renovation. And I didn't know they had a location out here in Moreno Valley. Heading towards wine country, it was along the way off the 60. Made it easy as it was a couple minutes off the freeway. It's located in a pretty massive strip mall with loads of other businesses. Plenty of parking which is alway a good thing whenever you're somewhere. Simple storefront but once you walk inside the place was pretty big. On side of the bakery is where the pastries and baked goods are. If you haven't been to one of the chain stores, you grab a tray and help yourself to the package sweets. There's rows and rows of fresh baked daily goods. Every piece is individually wrapped. Not only sweets, there's also sandwiches which I didn't even know they had. Along the front where the cashier is, whole cakes and slices are available. Once you finished picking out what you want, take the tray to the counter and that's where they ring things up. Drinks can also be ordered there. I did pick up a couple of boxes of the individual pastries and sweets. Both savory and sweets. A while strawberry cake and two drinks. That came up to about 108.00. The staff were all pretty sweet and friendly. I overheard one of the other cashier asking another patron if they wanted something heated up. Which I asked the cashier that was ringing my order up but she couldn't heat my croissant up as it wasn't the pre wrapped sandwiches. Only sandwiches could be heated up. Oh well. As I ordered drinks, which the other half of the cafe is the dining area. First off, the place was pretty massive and majority of the space in the middle isn't utilized. Just an open space which the could have added more tables for seating. Even though there was good amount of people working the drinks counter, it took forever for our drinks to be ready. It seemed like only one person was making the drinks which I think took at least 10 minutes for my drinks to be ready. Overall, it a nice space and the shelves were fully stocked. Come first thing as you know everything should be fresh and available. Downfall, it took forever for drinks to be made and it wasn't that busy when we walked in. read more

Do not come here !! This is how their "Thai tea" looks. Thai tea should be bright orange. Also, they take 30 minutes for ONE DRINK it's absurd. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

Found this awesome place on accident. We parked in front to go to a store next door and said hey why not try it. It was great!!! The Mango Green tea was very sweet but yummy! The desserts were amazing. We grabbed a couple of different desserts and had fun trying them all. We will definitely come back. read more
Visited here on Grand Opening weekend. They were giving out free t shirts on Friday and free tote bags for customers while supplies last. Quite a turnout as a lot of people were in line. Things were well organized and very clean inside. Staff was friendly and service was good. Their new strawberry half moon shaped cake was quite delicious and I highly recommend it. One less star because there were plenty of pastries that were made and on the racks but the staff didn't have time to wrap them and pit them outside for customers to buy. I like their coconut cubes but they don't have any that day. I've also noticed that some pastries were put in the wrong area with the incorrect description and pricing. Luckily I'm a regular customer at other 85C locations so I can recognize the flavor easily. Kiosks didn't work well and had errors so we had to wait in line to make our purchase. Overall good start to a new store. Will come back soon. read more

I decided last minute to stop in with my kiddos to grab a couple of desserts and some breads for the next morning. It was even bigger inside than I would have imagined, it felt nice and clean throughout. They were busy, especially for it being around 2-3 in the afternoon. I'd imagine it's even busier earlier in the day. The line moved quickly tho and before we knew it, we were enjoying our many finds. We picked out an assortment of things to try, and everything ended up being so fresh and tasted delicious! read more
Lots of delicious pastries!! If you love Japanese inspired treats where opulence is taste, they have many desserts to choose from! They also have teas and coffees to pair with your order. The store is open and airy with many dining tables and chairs. The bar is off to the right where you can place drink orders only. If you purchase treats, you are able to place drink orders also and wait in the bar area. The system was quick and easy! The staff are friendly and helpful, the store was a bit warm inside but a fresh order of White Peach Green Tea over ice made it bearable! The self checkout was down so there was a line and a lot of customers, but it moved consistently and I was on my way back to work in good time! The Hokkaido Cakes were already gone and the cheesecakes were going fast. I took a little bit of everything and still enjoying the batch of goodies! The strawberry cheesecake came in a pack of two and it was amazing! Soft spongy cake with a decadent filling that had perfect sweetness. this us a great place to chill with friends and family, the environment is nice and calming and my experience with the service there was great! the baked goods are fresh and made with genuine ingredients which i love, honestly one of my favorite places. their matcha is DELICIOUS. i will honestly forever glaze this place. read more
"Fresh Bread!" The familiar chant "fresh bread" can finally be heard at the new 85°C Bakery Cafe ("85 Degrees") in Moreno Valley. Although not officially opened until the end of May, guests are welcome to come in and purchase some baked goods and drinks during the Soft Opening. 85°C is located just south of the 60 freeway on Frederick. To find this bakery, look for HomeGoods, Chase and Dollar Tree. This is closer to the Dollar Tree, and across from La Michoacana. This popular bakery is huge and beautiful. It's roomy and spacious. The countertop is long and wide. And you can pay with a person or via a kiosk. It helps if you have the 85°C app on your smartphone, as they usually have perks for discounted or free items. It smells so delicious here and the treats make such great gifts when you want to visit someone and bring something. They offer baked breads, pastries, cakes and drinks. Some of the items I enjoy here are the Premium Milk bread, egg tarts, and Sea Salt Caramel Iced Coffee. Parking is very limited but there's plenty of parking spaces just a walk away. Overall, it's really exciting to have 85°C in Moreno Valley and we won't have to drive a distance to get their treats. read more

Just hearing the two words, "Fresh Bread" makes you turn your head in anticipation of what new selection came out from the oven. Came in on soft opening around 10am. The grand opening will be May 31st to June 2nd with free giveaways. It was relatively easy to find and there was plenty of parking. This location seems to be bigger than other locations. The restroom is clean; however, there is no place to hang your bag in the restroom. The employees were super friendly and helpful on deciding what to buy. We bought the red bean bread, matcha red bean roll, ham and cheese, and cheese bread. When we come back, we will order the same things and probably try out the milk flaky pastry. read more
Moreno Valley we finally have our own 85 degree bakery. I suggest down loading the app for monthly specials and rewards. 85 has a good rewards program. Right now they are in soft opening with limited hours. Since then came boba has come a long way for Moreno Valley with a lot of shops in the area. 85 will sure to be the biggest bakery option and most popular. Already during soft opening it is already relatively busy. It's a nice store bigger than the Rancho and Corona locations . I can see seating being somewhat limited during the weekend. My favorite drinks, camel milk tea, grape fruit tea, matcha, strawberry milk tea to name a view. For those who have never been it's a great value for drinks and bread. The best option for ordering cakes for special occasions. Cakes run around 30-35 dollars. During soft opening bread options are pretty limited. Excited that fresh bread has come to Moreno Valley. read more

Been wanting to try this bakery for a while, We read the reviews, and decided to try it because someone stated the pastries and desserts were good. They have a great selection. The ambience was nice and quiet. , they were fully stocked and still putting out more items. Everything looked great. We made our selections went to the register ordered a drink , the cashier behind the counter was very pleasant smiled, we waited less than five minutes for our coffee. The person behind the coffee bar was very pleasant and smiling., today we did not have any issues. I know more of the issues here were about customer service , it could be that those employees are no longer there, or maybe the employees weren't trained properly on customer service. But for today, the service was great . read more

What can improve is definitely not the quality of the food, bread , pastries, or cake because 85 can sell anywhere. What the problem is the staff attitude to the customer(s). They seem to be like a bunch of angry birds except the guy at the register who tried to be functional... they seem to be overwhelmed probably because it is end of day, or just unhappy working here, they look grumpy and just doing task and no customer service at all.... Their smile is so expensive...so this short female associate with blonde hair responded to my daughter rudely when she asked for the code to the bathroom. She asked the employee for the code twice, and she responded more rudely and aggressively the second time like she was talking to an idiot but the attitude.... We also said said thank you to another one when we got our orders but she didn't responded. Like she didn't hear anything. This is the worst establishment I have gone to and it would be nice if management can address the issue so that it will be a pleasant experience for customers to come here in the Moval area instead of driving to Corona? I came here for the first time on Monday afternoon to pickup a cake for my friend's birthday. I ordered the Deluxe Strawberry Cream cake and it was excellent. I've had this cake many times before. It was good and everyone loved it. It was nice that it wasn't very crowded, the service was great. read more
