I've always looked forward to going to Mr. BBH, cuz what's more comforting than a hot bowl of bun bo hue. So glad he decided to branch out and start catering to the masses, now everyone can try his brand of Bún Bò Huế. Taste like home, lots of depth of flavor in the broth, generous portions of cha hue, beef slices, and fresh herbs. Don't forget his homemade chili oil, perfect for adding a little kick. This is our second time having Bún Bò Huế, and it was just as delicious as the first. We also tried Mì Quảng and were instantly hooked. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the portion size is fairly good for the price. Honestly, the pictures I posted don't do the dish justice. The noodles were cooked perfectly to me. And I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciate their fresh, well-organized veggie tray. Everything is neatly separated--onions, peanuts, and more. It's the little details that really make a difference. While their Bún Bò Huế is the highlight, I highly recommend giving the Mì Quảng a try as well. Just be sure to order it at least a day in advance and the minimum is 4 bowls. I am so happy to have stumbled upon this bun Bo hue. So much so I eat it 1-2 times a week! There's just something so special about real homemade/home cooked bun Bo hue. The quality is all there. The noodles are always cooked to perfection and not over cooked. The meat is always nicely sliced and tender! The meatballs he makes is very delicious my family loves the meatballs because his doesn't have huge peppercorns in them. The broth is literally to die for. Every sip of that broth hits home and brings me comfort. I enjoy it so much I drink the whole thing no broth left behind! It's also nice to know I don't have any weird msg side effects from eating this specific bun Bo hue, which means he probably doesn't have msg in this broth and if so very little. Anytime I have too much msg my face swells or my tongue goes numb. Not in this case though so that alone is 10 stars. The veggies nicely packaged simple and neat. Always fresh veggies! The chef takes so much pride in his bun Bo hue and rightfully so. After living in SoCal for the last 8 years, I finally found a BBH that i absolutely love. I ordered for the first time 4 days ago, and have ordered again twice back to back days. I was introduced to Mr. BBH by my sister last month, who highly recommended me to try. Knowing she's a picky eater, I didn't doubt her and went ahead and ordered 15 bowls to share among my staff and family members. And just like how my sister would describe it, the broth tastes so deliciously just right, not too salty, not too bland, with the lemongrass aroma, just like how HHB was cooked by my mom back in the old days. What impresses me the most is that the mixed vegetables are fresh and well cut, meat is beautifully sliced and my favorite of all is the special made, not store-bought meatballs, "chả". Each bowl is generously portioned that I can eat two times. I've only known Mr. BBH for about a month, and I am addicting to it that I have ordered almost every week for lunches, and dinners.
