Los he amado muchos años.

Carne (beef) and Espinaca (spinach) Empanadas and the chimichurri sauce. Hand for size reference.

A definite hole-in-the-wall. It looks small from the outside but it's spacious on the inside. Upon entering, you see seating on the right hand side and the meat shop to the left hand side. Walking straight into the establishment, you'll see where to order. You order the food, you are handed your receipt and pay after. To pay is the rotating table you see at a grocery store, and it's near the point of entry. You don't wait too long for the food. My friend is vegetarian, so she ordered 3 Espinaca (spinach) empanadas. I had ordered one Carne (beef) empanada and one Espinaca (spinach) empanada. We ordered it with spicy chimichurri. It's not that spicy but there's a nice gentle kick to the palate. Trust me when I say I am sensitive to spicy foods. So this passes the spice test. Also, disclaimer to the chimichurri sauce, it is oily, so be careful. We asked for a spoon so we can add it into our empanadas. It was my first time here and the empanadas were so delicious and thick. I only could handle two. The people that sat near our table had ordered the turkey sandwich and it was massive. The pictures on the menu don't do the size of the sandwich justice. I'm definitely trying their sandwiches next time.

We got chicken, beef and spinach and ricotta. So good!!

Wow!! This is a hidden gem in Santa Ana!! There is a market and a little eatery inside. We ordered empanadas and they were a hit!! Maria and the staff are hard working and helped make sure we got over 300 empanadas on time and all were still warm!! Will definitely come back!!

    Dozen empanadas and chivito sandwich

Came back to my fav empanada place. We order a dozen and usually eat a few and take the rest home to freeze and eat for snacks. My wife isn't a fan of the chivito sandwiches but I really like it. As you can see from the photo, it's quite a sizable meal. I usually eat half and take the rest home as a meal for the next day. The dozen empanadas come with 2 sauces and the sandwich comes with 1. We can on a Saturday and there was a pretty good local crowd watching a soccer game. All in all, an excellent pickup for $40.

i haven't even been here in person yet, but the empanadas are AMAZING. my professor bought beef, chicken, and vegetable empanadas to cater our last class lecture, and im so glad she did. the food was amazing and i savored every bite. i'll be sure to leave another review once i get a chance to buy the empanadas in person!!!

    Chicken empanadas the best

Amazing food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

    Beef and chicken empanadas...delicious

Went in today to buy a dozen empanadas. These are truly delicious. I find it ridiculous that you only get 2 chimichurri sauces for TWELVE empanadas. When I bought 6 at my last visit, I also got 2. I understand that times are more expensive now & yes if I want 5 or six extra sauces, I don't mind paying extra. But, only 2 for a dozen empanadas is just nickel & diming your customers.

I had been here years before, but I think it was only a small market. Not sure of it's history. Anyhoo, It is a small market but carries many imported products from Latin American countries. Main reason we came though was ago get some of the delicious empanadas they make. I've only had the beef and chicken and both are great. Served with chimichurri dressing. Ordered a dozen take out. They also have very yummy sandwiches like grilled chicken, etc.... Nice find. Smallish parking lot. Very clean area with tables and TV to eat.

Get the Lonito. That steak sandwich is outstanding. One of the best in the area. Also get the chimichurri sauce.

Best meat in California. Vacio is the best, sometimes better than my beloved Argentina. It could be cheaper too. Empanadas are good.

I came here for their Taco Tuesday special, which is $1 for asada and pollo tacos. The sauces here stood out for me the most. I have been devouring tacos at many places for ten years living in Orange County, especially Santa Ana. So my expectations are high, that being said. The sauces are flavorful and the meats are tender plus seasoned well. I like that they have the pickled purple onions with carrots, the radish, and chopped white onions, with other toppings that are usually seen at most taco bars. As mentioned before, try the orange sauce. And their green sauce.. if you're a daredevil, go for the red ! Will highly recommend their juices, the pineapple is my favorite. Also horchata.. did I also mention.. they have cozome?! (I don't know how to spell it).. but definitely ask for it with that tostada special menu they have!

My friend and I went to the business next door, Boulder Laundromat. This laundromat has the nastiest worker I have ever encountered in any everyday business. I witnessed what I felt was the ugliest side of a human being. I wanted to test an electronic massager from a gentleman who comes to this laundromat regularly, but since the laundromat offers public power outlets, we simply wanted to plug it in and unplug it afterward. This woman would not allow it. She said she would call the police and the owner. The owner, when contacted by phone, seemed to agree with her. Because of the way we were treated, I will boycott this laundromat at all costs. We then went to the business next door, El Charrito Meat Market. They do not have public power outlets, but everyone there was very polite, helpful, and friendly. They even rearranged the place, cleaned the area, and laid down some cloths so that our massager wouldn't get dirty. To top it all off, when the outlet didn't work, they found us a different outlet and did the same thing again. That is kindness without boundaries. Just to allow us to use their private outlets (not for public use), they deserve five stars by themselves. They went far above and beyond what you would normally expect--this level of human kindness is mind-blowing. Ten stars!
