Once I ordered the Berry Chicken Salad (grilled chicken, strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese, tomatoes, roasted walnuts, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, with a strawberry vinaigrette)..... I knew I was going to be hooked. We also tried the Chicken Fajita Salad which is also good, but the Berry Chicken Salad is definitely my go to. I just ordered 4 of the salads this week and we ate them for dinner 2 days in a row. They are not little salads either.. definitely an entrée portion. Ordering is easy. The picture and claim is that this has bacon and chili's and loaded with chicken using real cheese and topped with fresh parmesan. I found no parmesan at all, there was maybe 1 or two small crumbles of bacon in the entire dish, a few chilis all swimming in some terrible cheese sauce along with 8-10 chunks of nashville hot chicken. The grilled cheese wasn't really much of a grilled cheese at all, rather it's just a nashville hot sandwich with this mac and cheese concoction smothered on the sandwich...just awful. The regular nashville hot sandwich was a giant thin cut of breast meat, but the skin was falling off the chicken before I even opened it, leaving half of that piece as just a bland piece of chicken with pieces of skin scattered in the container it came with. The fries with each sandwich weren't anything special and soggy by the time I received them.

I've been recently looking for a local meal prep shop to help with me eating healthier while saving…read moretime and money and FMD popped up on yelp with overall good reviews. I'm local and I'm all for supporting local small business owners so I decided to give them a try. At the very simplest, FMD does a perfect job of giving you basic, simple meals that are healthy with your macro count. While the pricing may seem a bit on the higher end, I feel like it's nearly perfect for the amount of total calories/macros you get. And remember, at the end of the day, it's all about macros and eating loss (so you can maintain or lose weight) and of course, you are paying someone else to cook. You can order in house at their store, but you can order delivery like I do. FMD's menu is small, simple, and overall, all the entrees are tasty and worth getting over and over. The chicken alfredo and sirloin steak are my two favorites. I do wish the veggies came flavored in someway, like sauteed or even lightly spiced/flavored, or at least the option to. A couple things that make me knock off a star: - Delivery is way overpriced at $10. No local shop that you buy food delivery remotely charges close to that nor are tips even upwards at $10 for local delivery, even on delivery apps like Uber or DD (unless you are a very generous person on delivery apps). I would understand if delivery price changes based on distance/location, but it's a flat fee. - Despite the website stating weekly subscriptions get a discount, it doesn't. I've reached out to FMD via email in the past but haven't heard anything. - I really do like FMD's sirloin steak. It's basic, the flavor is good, and it is the right cut of meat, but somehow, it always seems partially overcooked/burned on the edges. The inside is always tender. It's just the outer crust always comes burned/black and you can taste it. - I do wish that the main entrees (chicken alfredo, Penne Bolognese, etc) came much higher in protein over carbs. For example, a few more slices of chicken and less penne pasts in the chicken alfredo. It would be a much healthier option can cater towards the "fit" aspect of dieting where we should be consuming much higher proteins over carbs. I really do like FMD and I hope at some point some of my feedback will make some changes.
