I grabbed lunch here on my way from San Bernadino to LA. It's a little drive off the freeway. This togo is in the same building as baskin robbins. I think the salad was a good deal but it's not very fresh. I felt like having something refreshing that day and didn't want to order sandwiches, their main menu. The leaves smelled like they have been there for a while. Not to the point of going bad but it's not fresh. Other ingredients were ok. Server was friendly. I haven't been to Togos in over five years, but I've been on a sandwich kick lately, so I decided to go the other day for lunch. The first thing I noticed was the renovation of the restaurant; it did not look like what I remembered, and it was a pleasant change. The atmosphere seemed more relaxed, bright, and inviting. I ordered a regular number three - Turkey and Cheddar, with Swiss cheese instead, and Togos Style( lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, pepperoncinis, salt, and black pepper) with extra pepperoncinis, mayo and mustard. I ordered my sandwich for takeout and when I got home and took that first bite, it was just as tasty as I remembered! I could not believe I had deprived my self for all that time! It was so good I went back the following day to get another one. I was greeted by the same woman that took my order and made my sandwich the day prior. Not only did she recognize me right away, she remembered my order! I was impressed to say the least and did a little happy dance as she repeated what I ordered the other day perfectly. The wait was not long like it had been the first time I went. The sandwich shop shares a space with Baskin Robbins, and the employees work both, so it took a while as it seemed they were a bit understaffed compared to the amount of customers they had. As far as my thoughts on the price goes, they're not too bad compared to the other sandwich chains in the area. Subway is just as much- you get more sandwich, but the quality isn't that great. Jersey Mike's quality is great but you get half the amount of sandwich for the same price. Togos is in the middle, and I can appreciate that. Since moving to Texas I've missed going to TOGO's. I used to live right next to one in Studio City, CA many years ago and, when in doubt, it was my go-to. So much so that one of the regular sammy makers would guess what I was going to get *that* night, either tuna or ham+cheese. Anyway, cut to 2024 and I'm in Fontana for a couple months and I was excited to find out that a TOGO's was practically in my brother's neighborhood. The flat panel screens was a fast and efficient way to place my order exactly how I wanted it (a new thing from the last time I'd ordered) and that first bite of their tuna salad felt like nothing had changed. Comfort food acquired. In the Austin area I can choose between Subway (yuck), Jersey Mike's, Firehouse Subs and local chain Thundercloud Subs. I'd say Firehouse has the closest taste to TOGO's, being a bit on the sweet side versus sour like Thundercloud can get, and not watery like Jersey Mike's. But none of them have bread near as good as TOGO's. It may not be the super crusty legit baguette sourced from an artisanal bakery like if you were going to Bay Cities Deli in Santa Monica, but it's still what I'd consider "real bread" unlike that stuff at other big sub chains that gets squirted from a tube that doesn't hold up to sauces well and doesn't provide the same satisfaction, in the bite or the belly. I'm going to miss TOGO's when I got back to Texas. read more

I was so blown away by the friendly over the top professional and proactive service I received from Nabeehs Vishwas and her 2 colleagues. They got through a grueling line of 5 Baskin Robbins customers and apologized for the delay in filling my online app order. My order was prepared with great care and was hand delivered to me over the counter. Horrible experience tonight with this company. I ordered through door dash and received the worst experience I've ever had with food delivery. I ordered the #49 pastrami dip and #35 cheese steak. Both sandwiches were very poorly made. Pastrami literally had no sauces what so ever when and completely missing the au jus. The cheese steak was super cold, no extra chipotle mayo as requested no lettuce or tomato as the add ons. My chips and sodas to both ordered were missing. I spoke to an employee at 10:06pm since he pointed out how late it was since they close at 10pm and the dasher that was already there dropped my order and I called them to let them know the other dasher was approaching. The man I spoke to wasn't happy about waiting for the dasher but he could've cancelled my order so I could order from another place if they were closed already. I expressed that I was sorry that I didn't realize they close at 10 when I ordered on door dash. I always seem to forget that I have a Togos near by. The staff was great and the sandwiches were delicious! I ordered 3 subs but one of them I asked for dressing on the side, I purchased it so I can take it as lunch for work the next day, It was completely my fault for not checking but they added everything into that sandwich. The place is clean. I ordered a regular size hot pastrami sandwich plain. The hot pastrami was more like room temperature and the bread cold. It was12.50. Was that 6"????? Huge rip off. You're just as bad as McDonald's. It's in the trash if anyone wants a sandwich. Quite possibly the worst sandwich I've had in quite some time. Hot pastrami and bread that isn't cold!!! How hard is that? The bread was wrong as well, I asked for sourdough and got white bread. Wow. So now I'm at Stater Bros ordering a sandwich. We originally ordered 50 boxed lunches and then found out we needed 12 more, I was able to add them now problem. The owner delivered our order on time, called me to clarify exactly where we need it delivered. After he left I realized we needed to add 15 more lunches. It was our first time here and probably our last. Came here around 8 PM, 3-31-22 and a young lady with glasses helped us. While she was making our sandwiches, she had gloves on kept touching her glasses, her moving her hair back, and touching her face, while she was making the sandwiches at the same time ( so unsanitary!!!). I thought it'll be fine after two times ( I understand sometimes your glasses slide but this went on repeatedly, from touching her face/hair/ glasses and touching the bread, putting the ingredients in the sand which, ( there were two sandwiches). It was awkward to say the least and I didn't want to be rude, but I honestly couldn't bare the thought of eating food after seeing her constantly touch her hair/glasses/face. Staff should understand proper cleanliness and practice safe sanitary protocol! Please train your staff, this goes against health department on so many levels! Please tie your hair properly if it's in your face. Please don't touch food and your face at the same time. I reluctantly paid 25 bucks and threw it out in the trash bin bc I didn't want to be the rude person. It was Sad day in Fontana. read more

I have forgotten about TOGO's and Baskin Robbins - it's been almost 10 years since I had their sandwiches. At first, I ordered a regular Turkey Avocado sandwich on Dutch crunch bread, and then I saw Turkey cranberry. That was my order and made it a combo. Chips & Soda. As well as 2 scoops of ice cream to go. The teens or young adults are super nice and greeted you as you walk in. Although. I felt sorry for them yesterday, it was warm inside than outside. AC was not working properly. Back to my sandwich, perfectly prepared, just a slight smear of mayo on Dutch crunch bread, just the perfect amount of cranberry sauce. sliced Turkey and Togo style. Lettuce. pickles, peppers, sliced tomato. The regular size is huge, as compared to Jerseys and Subway. In fact, I shared my sandwich with a friend. Service is awesome. Four employees, and the older India man did NOT wash their hands. They just put on the gloves with their dirty hands. One of the employees went to the back with the gloves on. The counter the sandwich is prepared needs to have sandwich papers to ensure it is clean. One of the employees was making a tuna sandwich and the pastrami sandwich was on the same surface. It would be better to place the sandwich paper first on the counter, then the bread. ALL employees need to wash their hands before putting on their gloves. They are too nasty, and unorganized. It should NOT take 4 employees (older (40's) Indian man, African America young lady, Mexican young man, and the thick India young man) to make 4 sandwiches. I ordered off the catering menu for my company's monthly board meeting. The entire ordering process was smooth. I ordered online and had no issues. Upon pickup, food was ready on time. Katrina (I think that was her name), had everything ready to go for me, including condiments. She offered paper plates and help out to my car. More like ten. Ask to purchase a gift card. Charge goes through on my debit card. System won't print what the balance is on gift card. Goes in the back to correct the problem. Refunds cash. Get home. One sandwich has about enough meat for half a sandwich and vegetables which were not asked for. Second sandwich calls for Italian. No dressing at all.
