Been meaning to check this spo out for a while. I'll start by saying I've never been a fan of the Chicago-style or Vienna hot dog, but still wanted to see what all the hype was about. The place sits on a corner in a food truck that seems to have been here for years. It's got a classic neighborhood feel, and was clear it's a local favorite because there was a steady flow of customers. So my review will not be a surprise to regulars. It was just a two-man team running the entire operation, and they had everything down to a science. You could tell they've been doing this for a long time. I originally wanted to try the chili, but also wanted to sample the hot dog, so I figured a chili dog was one way to go. To my surprise, it was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, served quickly, and spot on. The fries were cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. I tried the beef sandwich, and they definitely don't skimp on the meat. If you come hungry, this place won't disappoint. Overall, a great experience. Now I understand why Mr. Beef has become such a staple in the area. Will be back for sure. Wishing them continued success. 5/5. read more

Ordered some hot dogs from Mr. Beef, When I opened the bag I found half the buns were very very soggy!!! Extremely disappointed in Mr. Beefs lack of care or concern for the product you pay so dearly for and they send out unexceptable so called food like this... pure lack of caring, just throw the food in a bag and send it.... One and done with this poor excuse for a so called Chicago place. You get treated much much better and receive s far better product in Chicago....Rip off!!!!!!!!! read more

This is really a cool little hot dog set up. It's permanent got outdoor seating and the hotdogs are delicious extremely reasonable. They've got sausage dogs. They've got Italian sausage burgers very good french fries. The food was hot and delicious. The Chicago dog and the peppers and all of everything to go with it was just great for $6.95, Chicago dog and french fries you cannot beat the price. Very clean visible. read more

Absolutely delicious beef sandwich. Anthony the owner is from Chicago and bringing this speciality to Naples is a plus for all. The sandwich was juicy, flavorful, and very generous. I believe he also offers a great Vienna hotdog which I will have to try next time around. Wink News interviewed him a few weeks ago and that is one of the reasons I drove from Marco to his establishment. I wish him well and hopefully he may even expand throughout the area. Speaking as a lifelong Chicagoan, Mr. Beef is the real deal. The owners are just as chatty and friendly as any hot dog joint in the Chicago area. I got the beef sausage combo dipped with hot peppers and it was off the charts amazing. The beef was perfectly seasoned and thinly shaved. The sausage was flavorful and grilled to perfection. And the role was hardy enough to handle the dip. The whole experience was right up there with Al's Beef. read more

I lived in Chicago many years ago I came here 5 years ago I went to his original place in Chicago from 1984 to 2009 he brought it here in Naples everything from Chicago beef sausage hot dog bread etc you could go any where in USA and find a place better then this I highly recommend it and don't forget to say hi to the owner Tony who always had a smile read more

The food was very fresh and quite delicious; they serve Chicago style hotdogs and burgers The chefs were friendly. It is an outdoor eatery and there are many tables with umbrellas provided to enjoy the meal. The prices are very reasonable. The only semi-issue is it is next to a busy road so it can be a bit noisy at times. But we will return to enjoy another meal. read more

The beefs we ordered tasted just like the Chicago beefs we enjoyed (I am from Chicago). The fries are enough for two people. All the tables were taken so we brought the food home. The only issue we had was parking. The place is on the corner so it's a cluster f*** with people pulling in and out of their parking spots. That is why they got a 4 instead of a 5. read more

Everything tastes fresh but growing up in Chicago and being from a family that owned not only snack shops but also restaurants, I know Vienna beef hot dogs and the ones we had at the new Mr. Beef were not. Other than that it was good. I will go again and try the Italian beef, that will be another true test because we lived right by Mr. Beef in IL and went often. read more

Best beef joint inSW Florida bar none. Chicago native born there in 58. Really didnt pay attention to differences in taste until I dicovered Portillos in about 2015. What a difference from all others, the best. Moved to Fl in 2020 and lost touch with a good Italian beef sandwich. Found out Portillos has 2 locayion in Fl and have taken yhe 4.5 our round trip twice, to get the good beef. Never again. Mr, also a Chicago icon, is now in Naples. Never had it before dince i am a S side of Chicago guy, but since I discovered mr beef here in Naples, I want no more. Since my initial visit, I have purchased about 16 sandwiches grom them, Italian sausage and beef, or just beef, all with the Chicago adders, motts and hot. I put them in the freezer and eat as needed. Visit them and enjoy the menu. Hot dogs, polish, smashers, fries, its all good. I stopped there today and had a beef sandwich with green peppers lightly dipped. I'm from Chicago and a big fan of Johnny's and Al's on Taylor. Mr Beef in Naples compared favorably.
