And boy, oh boy, was she right! Kissin' Cuzzins isn't just for family members bring your friends! Our server was super nice and we chatted like long time friends and he brought our drinks and food asap! When I ordered I actually said, it all looks so good I want one of everything on the menu! I didn't order all the items on the menu but I ordered so much we have leftovers for lunch! I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the okra! Those are two things that have to be cooked to perfection and yes, they were! The cook at this restaurant knows what he's doing in the kitchen, that's for sure! On the top of the yummy list are the sausage gravy and biscuits, grits, BLT with bacon cooked the way it should be... not too soft, not too crispy. Goldilocks would definitely steal it off the plates of the three bears! Whatever you order just know you're at the right restaurant for a delicious meal and you'll be satisfied when you walk out the door!

Inside, it looks like a classic diner, and the staff were friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. That said, the food itself was a bit "meh." The biscuits were definitely the highlight, but nothing else really stood out. The grits in particular were a bit overcooked and had a very gummy texture. With so many other breakfast options in the area, we might skip this one on a future visit.

The coffee and food are solid, and I like that they have housemade syrups. It's really always buzzing in here! I also love that they're an all day cafe so it's a great spot for a glass of wine or a beer, too. Can't beat the garage door indoor/outdoor concept either with lots of different seating options.

Known for cozy interiors, personable staff and quality coffee you couldn't match at the chain location a block away do slightly cheaper. Oh how times have changed. Southern Grounds St Petersburg is not like their Jacksonville counterparts in the slightest with the exception being the space is used well and looks great. However, the staff I thought was rude, not personable, coffee that tastes oddly bitter and the price for what's offered doesn't seem reasonable (staff can't control this). This isn't Jacksonville where coffee shops aren't as plentiful as downtown St. Pete, but hurts even more so when you begin to compare. I've been three times with friends who wanted to "try it out." I don't think I'm a coffee snob, nor are they, but we left every time saying "that wasn't the best." Not every coffee shop can be "amazing 5/5," but when a coffee just doesn't taste good/ okay for the price - I can't recommend it any further. 2 out 5; Can't control price and space is well laid out.

We wanted to eat something that would be filling, comforting, grab a few drinks but not necessarily need a whole sit down experience. So we stumbled upon Casita Taqueria. Thanks to the other awesome reviews, we knew this was the place to go! It literally feels like a casita when you walk in. They have lots of outdoor seating, picnic tables and such. Inside had a bit less seating (especially when it's raining and most of the people want to stay indoors). Either way, we found a table for 5 in no time. The ordering is easy, you go up to the register, order what you want and then they bring the food to you. No servers no waiters just easy. Highly recommend ordering a pitcher of margarita, we got the spicy jalapeño one and it was so refreshing! The food was delicious, freshly made, quick, and perfect for a lunch break. We got the tempeh nachos, rice and beans bowl, chips guac and salsa plus everything else the rest of our table got. We left full and our hearts happy! The ONLY THING I wish I would see was a super spicy house sauce. Which btw, they have a little fridge of their house made sauces for you to grab and enjoy. I just WISH there was a spicy one, the sweet one was pretty good!

Completely outdoor space with bar, small tables, and high tops for small to medium groups! Casual, beachy vibe, with umbrellas and tastefully modern beach decor. Bartender was incredibly friendly, offered wonderful recommendations, and remembered my name throughout my stay! Counter service food, separate from the bar. Fun seafood apps and an intentional mains menu make this a great spot for a light dinner or apps and drinks! I had the daily catch, which was amberjack, citrus rub, with slaw and taters. It was a lovely meal with flaky fish, tangy slaw, and decadent potatoes! Good value for the cost! Had the Gone Fishing to drink, which came served in a themed bobber glass. Rum-forward without being too boozy, balanced with sweetness and nuance from the tea. Surprisingly elevated for a beach bar vibe! Would absolutely recommend! Top it all off with some chill live music and you have the perfect evening for this guy! :)

The prices were awesome: $1 oysters, $5 hush puppies, $5 tacos, $10 cocktails. Everyday from 4-6pm. At that price point you really can't go wrong! For us the oysters were the star of the show... were they the best looking oysters I've ever had? No. Were they amazing for a dollar each? Absolutely yes! The hush puppies were really good as well... not dry at all, perfectly done, and the dipping sauce alongside them was spot on. The tacos were a solid addition to the spread: good flavors, nothing that blew us away, but a nice way to round things out. The shrimp taco was the winner between the two, we'd probably skip the chicken next time. The chorizo creamed corn was a pleasant surprise as well, and I'm not even a big corn person! The outdoor patio has a really cute vibe too... we were there on a cloudy day and it was still charming. Would love to come back on a sunny afternoon and make a proper happy hour afternoon of it. The oysters alone are enough to bring us back. Trophy Fish has officially earned a spot in the regular rotation.

My vegan friend recommended Good Intentions, and I haven't had a nice vegan dinner in a while, so I decided to come see what this place was all about, in honor of my beloved Ethos. RIP. We make reservations, show up, park anywhere we can find in this wild, wild West portion of town, and start browsing the menu. It sounds absolutely delicious. We started off with the Southern Sriracha Crab Cakes (Hearts of palm and jackfruit crab cakes, sriracha pimento, Thai chili glaze, seitan bacon crumbles, pickled fresno, scallion, sesame). These were great. Very crispy, the inside was the spitting image of crab cake filler, and there was just enough Old Bay to really sell it. Spicy sauces and other elements made this quite the lovely little app. We also had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts (Dan Dan tahini, toasted cashews, pickled fresnos, scallion). Wow, this was good. Tahini was a great choice, the sprouts were crispy crispy, and the cashews added a wonderful little crunch. My main was the Kimchi Fried Rice (Crispy fried jasmine rice, scrambled JustEgg, kimchi, sweet soy reduction, fried crab balls, kewpie aioli, scallion, sesame seeds). Better than some of the non-vegan fried rices I've had in my life! Great rice with some nice crisp, flavorful but not too funky kimchi, a nice soy sauce, and a nice aioli to sauce things up a bit. I also got to try a bucatini bolognese of some sort that I can't find on the menu anymore. Maybe it was a special. But it was good. Really deceivingly real meat crumbles, a lovely sauce, and bucatini is one of my favorite noodles. Big fan. Overall, this was not a good vegan meal. It was a good meal. I love places like this. I think that more people need exposure to places like this. I'll be back.

Cons: No cons at all. Tips: The whole menu was delicious, but I want to tell you to save room for dessert. That was an excellent cheesecake.
