UPDATED 1/3/20: OK so now that the carpet had time to dry, the urine smell lingers. In one particular room it's still pretty bad. When I was contacted prior to the technician's arrival I was advised that the stain remover was low inventory and they would not have enough for the house. They assured me the deodorizer was fine. Guess we needed both to conquer the smell? Unfortunately we have an older (stubborn) male dog who likes to pee on carpet- so the main purpose of hiring Mr. Clean was to rid of the smell. We've kept all doors closed since the clean- and the rooms still have a slight odor (1 room it's stronger). Bummer- I was excited for the lower pricing but I guess you get what you pay for. ORIGINAL REVIEW (4 stars): After a little bit of a rough start, Mr. Clean redeemed themselves as an affordable solution to cleaning carpets. I had called a couple days in advance looking for a quick service date. The nice woman who answered advised that a Saturday 11a-1p arrival window was their earliest slot (2 days out) so I grabbed. At $35 per room, which includes pre-treatment and deodorizer, it was a great deal that I did not want to miss. I spent that Saturday morning rearranging furniture, vacuuming the carpets and generally prepping for the carpet tech to arrive between 11a-1p. By 1p I had not heard anything so I called Mr. Clean to see what was up. At first there was difficulty finding my appointment altogether, which made me sweat a bit. Then, after checking elsewhere, they found my name/address and explained it was for 1p-3p arrival time. Ugh. I didn't want to argue since it was already past 1p so I left it alone and continued my wait. Keep in mind, I gave u p my weekend morning/afternoon to sit at home and be available for the cleaners. I finally got a call at 2:40p that Chris was on his way, coming from Tempe. 45 minutes later he arrived. We walked the house and I explained what was needed to help get 4 rooms cleaned. Chris was very nice and professional, asking questions, checking carpets closely, etc. He said he could get the job completed in about 40 minutes. Then off he went. He put down a nice amount of pre-treat deodorizer (it smelled nice) and then got the truck mounted cleaner ready to go. About 50 minutes later he was finished. The carpets smelled and looked great. They were damp and needed overnight to completely dry. It was a big upgrade from the "before" version. Chris advised the 4 rooms at $35 each came to $140 (a great deal IMHO)- they accepted credit, debit/ or Venmo. I paid with Venmo. Very easy transaction. All in the experience took 5.5 hours (from the original 11a start window to the 4:30p departure) so I was a little disappointed with that. During that time my wife and kiddo had gone out for the day, but they returned right about the time the cleaners showed up. I could have spent the day with family instead of waiting around for missed time windows, but oh well. I'm happy with the end result and Chris was excellent. In the end, I would recommend using Mr. Clean. I've bookmarked their Yelp page and intend to use them again in the future (every 6 months right?).... read more

This must be a popular company. When I called to make a carpet cleaning appointment, their next available appointment was a week out. Unfortunately due to one of their van's being out of commission and my 3rd floor apartment without an facet connection needing a van with a water tank and long hose, Sean couldn't get a suitable replacement van out so my cleaning appointment had to get postponed to week after. Sean did provide good customer service recovery by voluntarily offering a discount due to the delay and when cleaning van arrived, he hooked up and cleaned my carpets much better than an Home Depot mobile rug doctor rental unit could have done. Tremendous service from these folks. I had one small nit about the job they did on my sofa - I left a message, got a reply instantly, and the tech was back out just a few hours later to take care of things. They also cleaned my carpet, a 25-year old Berber. It will never be truly clean again, too many years of wear and neglect, but Mr Clean did a great job of getting it to look as good as it possibly could. I had the pleasure of speaking to Shawn, who cut me a phenomenal deal, after finding out I was a first time user who found him on Yelp. He provided me with an even deeper discount after learning I had taken some time taken to read the Yelp reviews, and could personally attest to some superb comments made about his customer service. I told Shawn I just had a couple of minor carpet pet stains from a rental property that had just been vacated. The rest of the carpets were immaculate otherwise. Because I was a first time customer, Shawn actually offered to come out to remove the stains for free!! He said if it was just a couple of minor stains, he would be happy to handle that for me, so long as I remembered him the next time I needed his services for my rentals. I've never had anybody offer to come out to do anything for free before, so I was definitely taken aback by that! Even after that offer, on top of already quoting me bottom dollar for being a first time customer who took the time to read his Mr. Clean's Yelp reviews, Shawn wasn't pushy in the slightest. He suggested there were cheaper services out there, and plenty of good companies, so I should feel free to shop around first before making a decision. We talked and shared some experiences on work with rental properties, and I agreed to schedule a deep carpet clean with his bottom dollar quote. Day of cleaning. I met with Matt, who was incredibly personable, professional, timely, polite and just went out of his way to do a great job. He took extra care to utilize extra machinery and put in some "elbow grease" to make sure some furniture indents on the carpets came out and ended up looking plush and new again. Took him two hours to clean out a large 6 room house. Customer service was bar none - Superb!! After following up with Shawn for payment, he added an extra $40 credit on my account to be used on any carpet or tile cleaning in the future. On top of that, he also "grand fathered" me in on the phenomenal rate he offered me for the same property. And gave me a gift card for giving their service a try, mentioning that he appreciates my business and believes in word of mouth, and appreciates that I found him through the powerful reviews of Yelp!
