We came here recently and the service and food was terrific. Our waitress (Ty) was awesome and made the visit very nice. We split the fried shrimp platter and the shrimp etouffee (with dirty rice instead of white rice). The food was delicious. We went around 4pm on a weekday, so it was practically empty, but the atmosphere and vibe inside was incredible. I loved the nautical theme. They were playing a lot of rap music which was funny since we saw elderly people eating there who probably thought that was odd. I assume the nighttime vibe is lively and much different. And the restroom was not the cleanest there, even with an empty restaurant. But other than that, I'd recommend everyone go visit and enjoy! read more

I met a friend and we decided to share a boil - the three boil choices don't have any prices listed other than "market price". We selected the Mr Crabby boil - pretty standard, 1/2 lb king crab (2 legs) 1/2 snow crab legs (1 set of legs), 1 snow crab claw ( one set claw plus legs), 2 pieces of corn, 4 pieces of sausage, 4 small red potatoes. The crab was cooked fine, the claw meat was a little overcooked but the corn itself was soft / soggy and overcooked. The drinks weren't bad at all, a hurricane and a vodka soda. The server had the crab crackers in their back pocket, not what I would consider clean especially with a $100+ boil that I'm about use them on and the final bill was $180 after tax, before tip. If I would have known l that I'd be paying $100 per person to spilt a boil and one drink each, I would have gone to Smashing Crab, SAT Asian, a Pappadeaux and spent probably a good amount less. Visited for the first time last night. It's a great place to eat on the weekends if you wanna hear loud music. We waited about 20 minutes for a table before being seated. Our waiter, Nick, was kind and very pleasant, and our food came out within 20 minutes of ordering. I ordered a pacific punch and the weekend special. My child had ramen noodles and a strawberry lemonade. Unfortunately Mr. Crabby's has eliminated itself from our list of regular spots. Adding extra $2.00 for strawberry lemonade, and charging $16 for the pacifier punch is very nickel and dime-ish. read more

This is my husband and I's favorite crab place if we want to also have drinks. The bar is big and the theme is so fun. We always order crabbys medium with a seafood boil of dungeoness (sorry) crab, snow crab, shrimp, lobster tail, veggies, and plain Ramen on the side. It is soooo good and flavorful with lots of butter. Service is quick and wait time is short. The vibes are fun. Arrived on a Saturday night after 7pm, and although the restaurant parking lot was packed, my table for two was seated immediately. Our waiter, Jordan, was kind and attentive. We received our drinks and food quickly. My crab boil was so good, I am a bit embarrassed of what my bin and table looked like afterwards lol. Trifecta sauce is the way to go! The menu is pretty versatile, there's a great selection for building your own and also a great selection of set platters. The service was fantastic, our server Lincoln went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable and easy. Once they confirmed they were still open, the hostesses seemed displeased, and the male waiter rolled his eyes. Our servers rushed us through the ordering process. Maybe tonight was a bad night but there were a lot of mistakes. 10/11/25 After ordering almost $200 worth of food we were missing our lobster tail in our seafood boil. It was brought out separately. I had to flag our waitress "L" because we also never received our rice or eggs we ordered. My half sweet half unsweet tea was SO sweet I needed a full unsweetened one to balance it out. Lastly, our waitress returned my receipt after processing my debit card and didn't return my card. I almost left without my debit card! I live in Austin and would have been furious. I couldn't find our waitress and was hoping she didn't accidentally give to another customer. I was frantically looking around the table, the floor, my wallet, and looking for the waitress. I also thought she dropped it on the floor on the way to our table. My girlfriend found her and my card was sitting on the bar counter. A gentleman next to us, who seemed to be a regular, was being charged extra for spicy seasoning when his medium boil was mild and not prepared properly. He pointed out he patrons this restaurant often and has never received under 20 shrimp in his boil and tonight he got less than 20 shrimp. The food was okay. Definitely not worth $200. It was my first time here and it was a great overall experience! Service was great. Out server answered all of our questions and our order came out at a reasonable time. To start we ordered fried pickles that were so yummy! All of our food was delicious! The portions were bigger than we anticipated but we ate almost everything because it was so delicious! Most of the items are "market price" but reasonably priced. There are some "specials" that feed 2-4 or 4-6 people... they also have build your own combos which is what I did. The decorations in this place are overboard! In a great way! Definitely put a lot of heart into making the place festive. We were greeted and seated quickly- by our waitress. Her service was above and beyond the entire time. They have wonderful reasonable SPECIALS as well as lunch specials Mon-Friday. Fried seafood baskets but what we went for was the seafood boils. We got the WEEKEND SPECIAL. 37.95$ for 1 lobster tail, 1/2 lb snow crab, 1/2 lb shrimp , sausage , 2 potatoes and 1 corn. The price is about what we usually pay. We added eggs to it which were a little pricey 4$ for 2 eggs- but we can never get a boil without eggs. Each enjoyed endless sodas - for a total of 56$ They have a full bar with a great looking drink menu if you're into that. Desserts as well. It was steady so I'm guessing they do pretty well. The service was fast and friendly. I really enjoyed their fried mozzarella sticks. They were so amazing. I'm not really a seafood lover but my family ordered some and it came out in these bags to keep it warm, that was awesome. I also tried their crawfish and it was pretty good, the seasoning so sooo good. The corn was amazing, it had the sauce and seasoning from the crawfish. Live Oak location needs retraining. Your staff to include the closing manager on 01/03/2026, were rude and very displeasing. We came in at 9:55pm and were met at the door with "last call for food is at 10:15 and we don't know if we can seat you". Once the hostess checked with the kitchen, they sat us. Our waitress was training a new waitress and both rushed us thru our ordering process. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers in our party. Every time we have a visitor, we bring them here. Our usual waiter is Moses but he just stopped serving on the top tables and it was the floor tables turn so he passed us on to Marina/Avery. Once we received our food, I asked for additional rice and eggs because I knew the kitchen was closing and Marina snapped back with "what else do you want?" "You keep ordering, geez" I told her well the rice hasn't come out yet and I want to make sure we have enough and she scoffed at me and shook her head as she walked off, my husband asking her in the process if she was feeling ok. During this time, the staff started picking up chairs and sweeping, spraying cleaner as we were eating and even stopping the music. They were glaring at us and it was only 10:38pm. I saw Moses and I told him that this was the most unpleasant visit I've ever had and he just kept apologizing for the staffs' behavior. I told him that I don't even want to finish my food and asked if he could bag it so we can just eat it at home. The manager gave us the check $543 with already included gratuity of $77. She don't bat an eye to our frustration, no apologies, just excuses. She said "well the hostess only said that because we stop serving at 10:30" and I told her well got there at 9:55, she shook her head and continued to swipe my card. I told her half a grand and this is the service we get, that's crazy. We are regulars and have been to this location 20 times this past year (2025) but not anymore. Waited about 10min before we were attended. Waiter was friendly but we had to ask for silverware and refills on the drinks. Food was good, but what we couldn't get over was the music. The music being played was very questionable for a restaurant because of what the lyrics were saying and the the volume was so high we couldn't talk or hear what anyone was saying. I never leave reviews but this was needed. Worse experience I've EVER had at a seafood space. 0 stars across the board if I'm being honest. We ordered the longhorn boil added black mussels and 2 kids fried shrimp plates. The boil was supposed to have 2 corn 2 potatoes. We got one of each AND the potatoes were rancid. They smelled & tasted sour and then they replaced them with potatoes that were really just worse. I grabbed the potato and my finger fell into a mushy pocket I smelled it and gagged. I had my partner smell it and he agreed "he said do NOT eat that" we didn't even ask for another replacement because why would we. The mussels we received came late they gave us green mussels that smells so bad they were extremely rubbery and just inedible we sent them back at that point I was over it. My kids popcorn shrimp was basically over fried breading.. Then came the bill. They STILL charged us for the mussels they also charged us for an adult fried shrimp plate that was 27$ when the kids plates for our toddlers cost $7 each. The server said the manager was giving us a "discount" they took so long just to take off $20 (10%) but we still were over paying because the mussels AND the adult shrimp we never ordered were still on there. They then took off the mussels but didn't fix or adjust anything else. It truly felt like a scam. We still tipped we were still polite of course. But in the same breath it was overall just bad experience manager never came to visit either. Awful. Needless to say this review was more than deserved.
