We came here recently and the service and food was terrific. Our waitress (Ty) was awesome and made the visit very nice. We split the fried shrimp platter and the shrimp etouffee (with dirty rice instead of white rice). The food was delicious. We went around 4pm on a weekday, so it was practically empty, but the atmosphere and vibe inside was incredible. I loved the nautical theme. They were playing a lot of rap music which was funny since we saw elderly people eating there who probably thought that was odd. I assume the nighttime vibe is lively and much different. And the restroom was not the cleanest there, even with an empty restaurant. But other than that, I'd recommend everyone go visit and enjoy! read more

I met a friend and we decided to share a boil - the three boil choices don't have any prices listed other than "market price". We selected the Mr Crabby boil - pretty standard, 1/2 lb king crab (2 legs) 1/2 snow crab legs (1 set of legs), 1 snow crab claw ( one set claw plus legs), 2 pieces of corn, 4 pieces of sausage, 4 small red potatoes. The crab was cooked fine, the claw meat was a little overcooked but the corn itself was soft / soggy and overcooked. The drinks weren't bad at all, a hurricane and a vodka soda. The server had the crab crackers in their back pocket, not what I would consider clean especially with a $100+ boil that I'm about use them on and the final bill was $180 after tax, before tip. If I would have known l that I'd be paying $100 per person to spilt a boil and one drink each, I would have gone to Smashing Crab, SAT Asian, a Pappadeaux and spent probably a good amount less. I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend. It had been awhile since we went here and I felt it was time to return. That was a great decision. I tried the seafood boil this time and it was really delicious. It was my first one and I was able to get it completely non-spicy with shrimp, a potato and corn. Next time I might add more food items to it, though. We were surprised at how quickly our food was delivered to our table. The service was also terrific. The waitress patiently answered all of our questions and made sure we had what we needed. Also, the tea was very good and our waitress was always ready with the refills. Visited for the first time last night. It's a great place to eat on the weekends if you wanna hear loud music. We waited about 20 minutes for a table before being seated. Our waiter, Nick, was kind and very pleasant, and our food came out within 20 minutes of ordering. I ordered a pacific punch and the weekend special. My child had ramen noodles and a strawberry lemonade. Unfortunately Mr. Crabby's has eliminated itself from our list of regular spots. Arrived on a Saturday night after 7pm, and although the restaurant parking lot was packed, my table for two was seated immediately. Our waiter, Jordan, was kind and attentive. The staff was lovely and so helpful. Or server, Imari was the best part of our visit. She was kind and helpful even though she was very busy. I love a good crab boil. This one was okay. And for the price of an expensive restaurant, perhaps you'd expect something a little less TGI Fridays meets tourist trap seafood. The seasoning isn't balanced, it has notes that just stuck out. We even ordered the Mr Crabby Special medium heat so it should be a classic blend that they're familiar with, but I can't think that this was portioned correctly. The sausage was weirdly smokey. The lobster was very overcooked, and the shrimp were marginally so. The crab was so overcooked the shell was soft and uncrackable. The scallops, corn, and potatoes were all done just fine and I could have made a meal of those. I liked having mushrooms and will add some to my own boil the next time I make one. The drink had plenty of alcohol but was slightly over sweet, but it was a hurricane, so that tracks. Again very tourist grade food and pricing. Every part of the interior is busy. This is my husband and I's favorite crab place if we want to also have drinks. The bar is big and the theme is so fun. We always order crabbys medium with a seafood boil of dungeoness (sorry) crab, snow crab, shrimp, lobster tail, veggies, and plain Ramen on the side. It is soooo good and flavorful with lots of butter. Service is quick and wait time is short. The vibes are fun. It was our first time here and we really enjoyed the food. There's quality of the seafood was really good and the flavors slapped. The menu is pretty versatile, there's a great selection for building your own and also a great selection of set platters. The service was fantastic, our server Lincoln went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable and easy. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and very attentive to us and the rest of his tables, great job. The place itself made us feel like we were under the sea having dinner with sponge bob lol. Once they confirmed they were still open, the hostesses seemed displeased, and the male waiter rolled his eyes. Our servers rushed us through the ordering process. I had to flag our waitress "L" because we also never received our rice or eggs we ordered. My half sweet half unsweet tea was SO sweet I needed a full unsweetened one to balance it out. Lastly, our waitress returned my receipt after processing my debit card and didn't return my card. I almost left without my debit card! I live in Austin and would have been furious. I couldn't find our waitress and was hoping she didn't accidentally give to another customer. I was frantically looking around the table, the floor, my wallet, and looking for the waitress. I also thought she dropped it on the floor on the way to our table. My girlfriend found her and my card was sitting on the bar counter. A gentleman next to us, who seemed to be a regular, was being charged extra for spicy seasoning when his medium boil was mild and not prepared properly. He pointed out he patrons this restaurant often and has never received under 20 shrimp in his boil and tonight he got less than 20 shrimp. The food was okay. Definitely not worth $200. Recently I went around trying crawfish boils all around town. Mr. Crabby was on my list. I was by myself I got seated at the bar. The service was fast and it was fun watching the bartenders doing their mixes. They are definitely very friendly too. They were interacting with everyone sitting at the bar. It was my first time here and it was a great overall experience! Service was great. Out server answered all of our questions and our order came out at a reasonable time. Her service was above and beyond the entire time. They have wonderful reasonable SPECIALS as well as lunch specials Mon-Friday. Fried seafood baskets but what we went for was the seafood boils. We got the WEEKEND SPECIAL. 37.95$ for 1 lobster tail, 1/2 lb snow crab, 1/2 lb shrimp , sausage , 2 potatoes and 1 corn. The price is about what we usually pay. We added eggs to it which were a little pricey 4$ for 2 eggs- but we can never get a boil without eggs. Each enjoyed endless sodas - for a total of 56$ They have a full bar with a great looking drink menu if you're into that. Desserts as well. It was steady so I'm guessing they do pretty well. Great music playing (jukebox on the wall that looks like customers can pay and play) and a few TVs that had the football games on. Visited 07/26/26 @ 9PM, not very many people. There are no prices in the menu for all types of crab, you have to ask. We ordered the Crab boil for $137 and a cod fish basket. $17. Food was okay, not great. They only gave us one very, very small plastic container of Tartar Sauce for the fish, asked for more, they gave us ONE more! We also ordered Sweet Potato Fries, those were good but again thy only gave us ONE very, very small container of ketchup. For as much as we paid could we not get some Ketchup and Tartar sauce? We was looking for a crab spot as I have tried the others in the area and it just ain't been hitting. Came to mr crabby and was very pleased. Our server Moses was personable and cool as a fan. I wanted to try the gator bites cause what gator, and they was great and the sauce was a special touch. Live Oak location needs retraining. Your staff to include the closing manager on 01/03/2026, were rude and very displeasing. We came in at 9:55pm and were met at the door with "last call for food is at 10:15 and we don't know if we can seat you". Once the hostess checked with the kitchen, they sat us. Our waitress was training a new waitress and both rushed us thru our ordering process. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers in our party. Every time we have a visitor, we bring them here. Our usual waiter is Moses but he just stopped serving on the top tables and it was the floor tables turn so he passed us on to Marina/Avery. Once we received our food, I asked for additional rice and eggs because I knew the kitchen was closing and Marina snapped back with "what else do you want?" "You keep ordering, geez" I told her well the rice hasn't come out yet and I want to make sure we have enough and she scoffed at me and shook her head as she walked off, my husband asking her in the process if she was feeling ok. During this time, the staff started picking up chairs and sweeping, spraying cleaner as we were eating and even stopping the music. They were glaring at us and it was only 10:38pm. I saw Moses and I told him that this was the most unpleasant visit I've ever had and he just kept apologizing for the staffs' behavior. I told him that I don't even want to finish my food and asked if he could bag it so we can just eat it at home. The manager gave us the check $543 with already included gratuity of $77. She don't bat an eye to our frustration, no apologies, just excuses. She said "well the hostess only said that because we stop serving at 10:30" and I told her well got there at 9:55, she shook her head and continued to swipe my card. I told her half a grand and this is the service we get, that's crazy. We are regulars and have been to this location 20 times this past year (2025) but not anymore. I am absolutely disapointed with Mr Crabbys! I went to celebrate my birthday with 14 of my friends. I had made a reservation a week in advance and updated it two days prior. Upon arrival I was told that they canceled all reservations and couldnt do anything for us. I received no advanced notification regarding this cancellation either.
