Overpriced, mostly filler crab cake
Nathan H.

I hate to do this, but one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. The good - seafood boil was reasonably tasty but was diminished by terrible service. Upon arrival we were greeted with big chain restaurant aesthetics and EXTREMELY loud smooth jazz. We were seated right away but the hostess (instead of waiting for our party of 3 to pass) awkwardly cuts through the middle of us. This happened more than once. 2 of our 3 entrees came out before our appetizer (within 2 minutes of us ordering). When I commented on the order of service our waiter offered no apology and just stated "that's the way our kitchen does it" The appetizer was overpriced mostly filler mushy crab cake. The rest of the food was well below average. Seasoning levels went from bland to the entirety of the dead sea being used. See pics for what wasn't eaten. The bread was so bad we actually had to spit it into a napkin. My daughter described the flavor as radioactive. On top of everything else the service was horrible. No extra plates for the appetizer, no straws, no silverware, no crab crackers or pickers. We had to ask for everything. The waiter even came by once to ask how we were doing. This would have been good if he had waited for a response instead of asking while zipping past with almost no eye contact. After talking to the manager I now know where the lack of service comes from. There was no "sorry to hear that you had a negative experience", no "is there anything we can do to improve your experience. He simply responded with "yes sir, I understand". I'm now going home to eat a TV dinner

Left: Razzmatazz Right: Margarita w/ sugar rim

Starting with cocktails.. the special of the day was a Razzmatazz lemonade, it was light and refreshing. Presentation was 10/10, taste was 7/10. My husband described it as a "refreshing iced Dimetapp" lol. My drink was a margarita on the rocks w/ sugar rim. Prisentation was 9/10. I took off a point bc sugar was dripping down the side and i hate to get my hands sticky. Taste was 7/10. It was light in flavor, not too sweet or sour. Could not taste tequila but, upon drinking it did in fact have tequila.

Our boil didnt have any flavor, garlic or any kind of seasoning. My friend and I had ordered the hot and the garlic, heat, and seasoning was non existent. Just tasted like plain butter and my friend said the same thing. They ran out of grilled oysters from last weekend so we couldn't order that. We asked for more napkins since the roll we had at our table was almost all gone and that took forever and server seemed new or not knowledgeable when we questioned the lack of flavor and heat and asked for more garlic and said manager will have to approve first and he came and we let him know what was needed...he did get some mote chopped garlic for us and also brought out more seasoning since boil lacked flavor. I dont think I will go back, I had better tasting seafood boils and service at other places. My friend said the location in live oak was a better experience for her.

The food was really good! We got the Titanic boil which includes mussels, shrimp, crab legs, lobster tail, scallops, corn, sausage, and potatoes. This dish can easily serve about 6 people. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. The menu was a bit overpriced in my opinion but the portions are heafty!

Place just recently opened. It nice inside and customer service is on point. Food and service were great. Came with friends and enjoyed it. Bathroom were clean and place is upbeat. We will come back next weekend. Weekend can get packed so early times are better.

Raw oysters, fried gator and margarita flight

Okay listen... this place EATS We got the Dungeness crab with black mussels, shrimp, and scallops and it was DELICIOUS. Like seasoned right, juicy, messy in the best way. The broccoli and eggs soaked up all that flavor too! Tried the gator for the first time and that also was 10/10. I'd go back just for that. Raw oysters were cool... not bad, just feel like I've had better. Still ate them though And the margarita flight?? Yeah, that sealed it. So ooo good. I spent damn near $200 but honestly... worth it. 10/10, I'd go back

They did a great job on decorating. I've been twice now and the food is great. Both waitress & waiter we had was knowledgeable and helpful on food selection. Give it a try, you'll love the atmosphere.

Visited here with a group of 5. We were seated within 5 minutes. Decor is very pirate/beach themed. There was a live DJ playing 80s-90s hit. Loved it. Everyone got either the seafood boil special or a mix of a pound or so of shrimp and crab. It was a good amount of food. A few people were disappointed that the hottest spice level they had didn't even taste at all spicy. Everyone agreed all of it was mild jo matter the spice level selected. There were a few sauces to choose from. We picked either the trifecta or the Mr crabbys special sauce which in the end all tastes the same and even a little too oily. The best part in my opinion was the Cajun fries. They came out hot with great seasoning. The servers were great, Maria and Andrew. They did everything amazing. We will probably come back and try a different sauce to see if it makes a difference. The seafood was good and prices were not overinflated like Smashing Crab.

Went on a Friday night. Very lively and packed, inside is nice and 2 large bars. Food was great. Waitress gave us great recommendations. Food was fantastic. Got the weekend special added mixed vegetables. Mr Crabbys sauce. Medium heat. All fantastic and good price was crab, lobster and shrimp. We will be back anc get drinks next time. Everything that came out looked great.

I love my custom-made boil the broccoli in that sauce is so amazing. They never miss.

It's located in a shopping center in the Stone Oak area with plenty of parking, even though we went late on a Friday night. The indoor dining was clean, spacious and enough tables to accommodate several parties. Live music for entertainment made for a relaxing time. The indoor lighting had a slight blue tint to provide more of a layback experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a good choice and very tasty. The Mojarra Chicharron, whole deep fried Tilapia, was not only delicious, but the presentation was perfect. Precut fried chunks placed on top of the fish made it easy to dip in the sauce and eat. Wifey went with the Pasado Del Rio, filet of Salmon, with lemon butter. It was well prepared and had a good blend of flavors. The prices were fair compared to other upscale seafood restaurants with entrees in the $20 range but also offer some Chef specials up to $75 for a shared meal. The service was adequate even though our server had a large table next to us. Others stepped in and picked up the slack, thus saving the night.

It reminded me of a previous space that now houses a restaurant. It was fairly busy on a Thursday night, reservations were suggested. Our service started with the grilled oysters, spinach, bacon, cheese and seasoning. They were good but not great. The blackened grilled trout with dirty rice was one of the entrees. It was flavorful and a very good dish. The grilled red fish with crab meat, grilled shrimp, tomato, garlic, serrano peppers, and creamy buttery sauce over dirty rice was our other entree. It was tasty, not over-salty, and quite tender. The dirty rice was good but not great. The food at Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen was good but not memorable. I was not sorry we tried them but also don't feel drawn to return. The decor and setup of the restaurant felt like a temporary pop up with no individuality as to who they are. For entree, I ordered the surf and turf because I needed some red meat. Meat came out very rare when I asked for medium rare. The tart lemon wine cream sauce was okay, but not the best. The mashed potatoes, however, was the best out of the meal. Warning about this restaurant: they charge you an additional 8% food tax on top of regular taxes. This is a huge red flag!

But every time we go, I remember exactly why we keep coming back. I swear I have to remind myself to slow down because I practically inhale the food every time. One of my favorite parts of the experience is the margarita flight. It did have a good price for cocktails which was nice though! The espresso martini was great, however the beans were a bit chewy. I switched to an old fashioned made with Buffalo Trace and it was delicious though. Service was kinda spotty with my waiter disappearing quite a bit. Maybe they see a table with one diner and think they're not going to get a decent tip. I had to ask another server for something at one point which should never be the case. The food was good though. It was hard to decide and since I was on a budget with a work expense, I had to choose wisely and put the booze on a separate tab. The salad was good and fresh and their cajun French dressing was bad. I switched to ranch and was able to enjoy it. The Catfish dish was delicious and came with shrimp, lump crab and oysters. Nice portion size and I was mostly satisfied. The sauce was pretty good for being outside of Louisiana, but still not "authentic". Is anywhere outside of LA great though? Luckily, it was walking distance from my hotel so easy to get to from there. It's on a "frontal" road so you may be driving in circles if you venture here on your own. We had a bad experience in the past but the restaurant had turned itself around with new management. Since then, we started to come all the time again, especially during Crawfish season. I frequently buy 1-2 pounds of crawfish and my husband 1 pound of shrimp so we are VERY familiar with the portions expected. Two visits ago, I ordered 2 pounds of crawfish but the portion appeared closer to 1.5 pounds but my server said that ai was the only table that ordered 2 pounds so it was correct. I let that slide. I decided that in the future, I would order 1 pound and order another pound later to ensure that I can see the exact portions. Yesterday, I stopped by after a long run. I ordered 1 pound of crawfish and my husband ordered 1 pound of shrimp ($21.99 for 1 pound and $13.99 for 1/2 pound). When our order came, the portions were half of what was expected. I approached the front manager. He took to the back and weighed it, we receive 1/2 pound each but was charged 1 full pound. To fix it, they remade the order and to our surprise, added the wrong weight portion at no extra charge. Because of that, I did not post of what felt like the kitchen cheating the customer. Today, we returned. I had a free Chicken Tender coupon so after running 12 miles felt it was a good time to use the coupon, enjoy a margarita and my favorite, crawfish. Thinking yesterday was a fluke, we expected the correct portion size. Well, stupid me. Again, the crawfish came out with the portion size smaller than expected. I just asked if my waitress could weigh it. Nothing more, nothing less. The kitchen manager came out and spoke down to me that I do this all the time. And he was NOT going to weigh it. First of all, yesterday was my first time demanding our crawfish and shrimp to be weighed and we were indeed cheated. The way I was spoken to was definitely not appreciated. Being someone who order a a pound of crawfish from different establishments, I know what a pound should look like. Did they weigh the potato and corn as part of the crawfish (or shrimp)? If so this is a new practice and false advertisement. Should we be charged $10,99 a pound with the crawfish or $21.99 pound with the shrimp. We think NOT! The only reason why we come to Willie's is because of the great margarita deals. So, if you are okay with the kitchen at this establishment cheating you on your meal, feel free to come here. We will no longer be coming to this Willie's. It is NOT the only Willie's in town. F we get the same treatment at other Willie's then it is a Corporate issue and we will eat elsewhere. Stay tune for my update. Yes, I really would love to hear from a higher level Manager. And, please teach them some etiquette. Don't be RUDE to customers.

I don't know why they sat 5 of us gals in a back booth right next to the kitchen instead of the front by the windows since we were celebrating a birthday and had presents? We got there before 12pm and a few booths were available by the window? I thought that was odd. Anyway, Raul was our waiter who was very enthusiastic, helpful and patient as we perused the menu trying to decide what to drink at first? A couple of friends asked what the different drinks were and decided on the Mango Stella-Rita which had a Chamoy covered thick straw, Mango-forward puree and the can of Stella Rosa Mango Sparkling wine that's placed upside down in the heavy Margarita glass like a Michelada. The birthday girl ordered a Pineapple Margarita that had some chunks of fresh pineapple in the drink. It had a kick, IMO! One of our friends shared some of her Mango drink with a couple of us because it was a lot to drink. She actually was munching on her chamoy straw and hardly ate most of her entree, LOL!! She was our onsite photographer anyway. I asked Raul how much the Bloody Mary and Sangria cost and he looked on his hand-held ordering device and said most drinks are $13-$15. The drink menus don't have prices, only the food menus. Not sure why? He said fresh fruit is added to the fruity drinks like the Margaritas. I thought that was nice. 3 of us ordered the Mojarra Chicharron fried fish dish that comes with rice, green salad and a fresh salsa. I was craving that for awhile now. Bday girl ordered the Tostada Super Mixta which was hefty, brimming with Surimi on top. Our friends ordered a cup of fish soup and fried oysters that came with fries and bread which I've never seen before. Portions are huge and all who ordered the Mojarra Chicharron had to go boxes as it's a lot of fish. We told Raul that it was our friend's birthday and he saw the presents but no Happy Birthday desserts were offered?? Food is good but good to know in case you're celebrating a birthday. You'll have to bring your own Birthday Cake. The restrooms are clean and there's lots of parking. The place was pretty busy by the time we left at 2pm.
